Dat skill. You really got into mmps^^

An old, acceptable looking pic I used in my CJ once before. It shows a hunting scene. Name: Hunters will be hunted #nophotoshop

Great work with mmp, bud!

Still alive. Not much content yet. Much stuff in development still. Such unreplied comments. Many doge. Wow. Procrastination time! Comments will be answered the next time. I'm the last person on earth using doge memes. Bye^^

By the way, I'm still alive, I'm just a bit unmotivated to play sc4. The CJ isn't stopped tho, I'll propably play a bit soon. I just struggle with game-shutdown

Cities: Skyline; A new City Simulator Announced By Paradox
Moerp commented on pcwhiz24's article in News
By Paradox? Nice. Looks like the thing we wished Sc13 would be. Really promising. (-"Road building and zoning" - lol, in a city simulator game this isn't a feature but an essential element) Edit: The website means, there's a singleplayer but no multiplayer, but the trailer doesn't said so? -
Nice! I especially like those suburbs in the last pic

Well, I'm really sorry I didn't uploaded anything the last weeks, but first I was in Tyrol, then my Grandfather had his birthday and later on I finally got Diablo III which had to be played (meh.). Since then I didn't do much in SC4 but the last days I spent the one or other hour on Windcliff. A brand new industrial area beneath the new established "city"-highway. Here's an overview over the new traffic system (called the "Derpways") The new residential area next to the also new railway. It's elevated because potato and it looks kinda nice. So there is actually some work done, but nothing is already finished. Well, have a nice weekend! PS: Does anyone of you play CS:GO? Just asking for things. Replies sarthakknight: This one time it was actually on purpose to turn on the grid so you can notice the differencies of the heights:3 Thanks! Ln X: Thanks! But the pond is more like, you know, just a fun thing. I lost skills in putting mmps in towns and because of that I just try some nature put-in in my cities.^^ Schriefer: Thanks, Buddy!

has the city to be located in the USA? Because I cannot say anything about american cities from own experience.

Very nice scenery. Why don't you use actual screenshots but the in-game camera? -

I just love your realistic towns. -
Today without any comments :3 Btw, I forgot to turn on the shadows again -.-. Sorry for that, have a nice sunday! Replies MilitantRadical: Yeah, I just don't have so many w2w buildings in the right size:3 I mean, I have the whole "Smalltown, USA" set and some others, but they have really different sizes:( But I don't know any other way too^^ Ln X: I forgot that again, I'm so f****** sorry:3 I just noticed it while uploading and then I didn't want to take all the screenshots again. It's just a shame, as shadows are kinda important for a mmp-concerned update....Shame on me^^ Schriefer: Thank you, friend! I just miss the variaty of buildings:/

Well, as a quick reminder of what it looked like at the beginning: Starting development: And the result: And now, just some impressions: (You should never try to build such a city with a demand mod activated. If you're unlucky or stupid, like in my case, you don't have enough different lots for the high wealth sims and get the same buildings everywhere. I mean, in the residential districts it looks quite good, but only the Grantosa Café along the main street looks a bit....weird) More like a high-tech wharehouse section Here's the problem a bit more clearly. The red-brick buildings are looking all fine but the Main Street is just ridiculous. Well, that's it, the next time it's goona be a mmp/nature theme (maybe a creek/river? Maybe it flows through a small town? We don't know yet^^). I'm just not good in building bigger cities:D Have a nice weekend! Replies GoKingsGo: I'm glad I could help you:3 Ln X: Well, they turned out to be clean and modern:D The problem was, I had to use a demand mod and raise the demand for §§§-Sims, because else the CBD probably would'nt grow well. But now, the industrial areas such as the w2w-areas don't look really good. I think I will just destroy all buildings again, put the demand mod off and then let it grow again, let's see...) Caracortada: No, it was my bad, I'm just sometimes a bit "slow" in my mind, so it was actually pretty understandable, I just didn't got it because of.....myself, you know?^^ However, do you know any good modern lots for the CBD? As I said, I'm probably going to do this whole stuff again, so I'd do some things different.

OMG, this old town looks really impressing! Reminds me a bit of "Journey through Paengia". Well done, mate! Btw, how about some close-ups the next update?
-
These commercial streets are really decent-looking. Good job.

Wow, this is really impressing! This is one inspiring entry, much that I can learn from. Great. -
I thought it would be interesting to show you my style of playing. Maybe I can help you or maybe you can help me, so please give me as many tips as I can:D At first I search for an area (in this case I used the edge of the RHW intersection I build for the last entry) and start to laying the street grid (I make it as curvy as I can, so it doesn't look like a chess board:3) After that I already begin to zone It will be a suburb of a bigger city, so I let there be some agriculture too. Then I plop some parks to make it a nice place to live and raise the ground value (it's realistic too). (Sorry for all the stupid icons, I forgot how to put them off, although iCities told me how to do it:3) Also I re-propped some of the conifers and some deciduous trees (they look good in suburbs as filler for small areas, the conifers to fill bigger places, I think). Then I plopped and mmp'd some other details like supermarkets and a meadow. I placed highway signs too, but I somehow deleted the picture Now it's finally time to place a power plant and start the simulation! Nailed it. But that's just one parcel of land, to make a real connected suburb you have to do something like this many times between the main roads, so it's pretty much work. But it's totally worth it:) That's it for today, have a nice evening folks! Edit: I will probably continue the development of the town as filler entries in the next weeks (=as small series). Replies iCities (all three comments): Just surf on the STEX and the LEX and the PLEX, you will find much cool stuff I use too:) Some of my basic mods are the NAM, Girafes' trees, nearly everything by VIP, the Arden seasonal tree conroller, many buildings by Mattb325 (search him on the LEX), and JMyer's Homes. Also I use a Maxis-WHI stop mod, so there only grow custom content. Yeah, poorly photoshopped and it's nice to hear I'm not the only one who's upracticed with the NAM:D Ace❤: I'm sure you could do this in half of the space, yes^^. You're welcome:)

So finally the update with the small town today, let's just begin. I don't really know why the custum §§R houses don't grow as much as I want.... (No MMP's but Arden seasonal tree controller) So I tried to build a town, I'm sorry there weren't much mmp's today. Have a nice evening! Replies: Huston: Thanks But I think the sidewalk is way too big, it should be more tight > Fox: Wow, that's a huge compliment I actually save often but I'm mostly too tired to restart and rebuild the small amount of "crash damage". It's just too annoying, that's why the update was delayed.

Wonderful again! Indeed, you're inspired by SimCoug, but you don't just copy him, it's only a familiar setting:D Great entry, looking forward to the next!
