For fellow mayors who still have diagonal high streets to fill, a second set of 6 detailed shop parades. They come in 1x1 lots with overhanging props in various lengths, covering from 2.5 to 5 diagonal tiles. Three of them are Cs$$ and three are Cs$. Cs$$ parade 45 comes in lot A, B, and C each with different shops and layout, as they are meant to be placed with diagonal streets in between them. The ploppable version includes icons in the landmark menu, and the description will tell you how many tiles each parade covers. Alternatively you can download the growable version and plop these with the LotPlop extracheat, like I personally do. In this case you'll find them listed under JFF_Cs$$/Cs$_shop parade (you may want to keep the documentation images for easy reference). Both versions only weigh about 1200 KB, the rest of the download is pictures! Fun fact: remember when the total number of shop fronts from all parades was 1000? With these we reach 1068, and if we also count the shops from the commercial corners, diagonals, and transitions, we get past 1200. Seriously, isn't this con-sim-erism? Here come 15 more w2w commercials to to help fill your diagonal high streets with historical character buildings from various parts of Britain. For example, the right portion of #23 features what was until recently the oldest English chemist in Knaresborough, Yorkshire; #24 is a wine whop from Hereford; #30 was loosely modelled after the "Board & Elbow" pub in Penrith, Cumbria, and #33 is the "Victoria Stakes" pub from Muswell Hill, in North London. These shops and offices cover each one diagonal tile, except for #30 and #31, which cover one and a half, and #35, which is a half-tile filler meant to bridge the gaps between short and long diagonals. As usual the models are suitable for all camera angles, and the all-inclusive file weighs just 770 KB. This is a pack of 20 w2w commercials to help fill your diagonal high streets with historical character buildings. Not sure how to fill those odd corners formed by diagonal networks and roundabouts? Here's a pack of 20 w2w shops and offices in various sizes, shapes, and styles meant to help in those settings. You can download the PLOP version and find them in the landmark menu as landmarks with jobs, or go for the GROW version and plop them with the LotPlop extracheat -in that case look for "JFF Commercial Corner 01-20"). Once you've plopped the commercial you want, you can fill any uncovered pavement tiles with your favourite plazas or pedestrian pieces. As usual the models are S3Ds suitable for all camera angles. The all-inclusive file weighs 1.8 MB for the GROW version, which comes with a custom till sound, and 2.97 MB for the PLOP version, which has a custom pub sound. While the first Row Houses MegaPack provided 100 house designs, this Megapack 02 brings to you, well, 100 more! That's right: 100 more Victorian, Edwardian, Georgian, and even Tudor w2w models and 114 lots, to build rows upon rows of traditional terraces. The designs draw largely from London, but also from American and Canadian cities. You will find 30 new R$, 55 R$$, and 15 R$$$, plus colour variations, mirrored versions, and a few fence props. The grand total of both packs thus comes to 60 R$, 100 R$$, and 40 R$$$. The rows grow on medium-density Chicago tileset; most on 4x2 prints, others on 4x3, 4x1, 2x4, 1x4, or 2x6 prints, as detailed in the separate documentation images. Along with 10 new mews houses, I also threw in a few additional lots for the mews of Megapack 01. Stats are realistic rather than Maxis (for example a R$$ house will typically host 5 people, obviously more if taller) and the lots feature the same dummy buildings of Megapack 01 plus new ones. Since each house is a single prop, the rows are moderately slop-friendly. In case you are going to plop them using the extracheat plugin, note that some designs come with lot A and lot B, which are meant to alternate so that the architectural features align. The props are found in the LE under the prefix JFF. As incredible as it sounds, all models and lots are contained in one single file which weighs less than 4 MB! That's possible because these models are S3Ds, not BATs, which also means they look like the ingame automata, with crisp textures yet no shading. To provide ever more content for your period cities, here is a pack of 12 semi-detached houses in Victorian/Georgian style. Seven of them are R$$, five are R$$$. They grow on medium-density Chicago-tileset 4x2 lots, except for the R$$$ semi 03, which takes a 5x2 lot, and the R$$$ semi 05, which takes a 6x3 lot. IMPORTANT: these models are S3Ds, not BATs, which means they look like the ingame automata, with crisp textures yet no shading. They will stand out from other models and look sharper and brighter. The UC Clinic, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Inspired by the old (and long demolished) Union Club which once stood on Bligh St, this is a smaller medical facility for towns or to supplement larger hospital care. Unlike the modern connotations of a union, this club housed university professors, alumni, medical professionals and the like. Being a member of this club granted one access to the top echelons of society, so I have made it a luxury clinic. The lovely Georgian style sandstone building with its striking basement are an unusual feature for SC4 buildings. On a 3x1 lot it is also quite a useful size to fill awkward gaps left over by diagonal or FAR roads and standard zoning. The lot comes is a ploppable Clinic, which is found in the Health Menu and is has a decent capacity (1,650) and radius (624). It also provides up to 62 civic jobs across all 3 wealth categories. It works well in a old town environment as well as a suburban high street (where you can place parking behind the building). New Bond St London, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Originally posted in the BAT request thread. It is typical of the Georgian-era buildings that dot London's west end. It has a very simple facade displaying the typical balance, repetition and restraint that the later Victorian era completely forgot....only it's not, its actually a fake modern replica tacked onto a series of four or five joined-together buildings that run between the main street facade and Barlow place (the lane-way) behind it. I lived in this area of London for well over a decade and remember the old building...sure enough in 2012, the entire Bond St facade was replaced with the mock Georgian facade that we see today. I rather like the former higgledy-piggledy Edwardian facade, and will do a version of that, soon (if there is sufficient interest from the community) Despite it's fancy new facade with Chanel as the anchor tenant, and because of how many jumbled buildings are all joined together, this one doesn't typically read as a "high-wealth" offering. Therefore, it is offered as a medium wealth, medium density Commercial Services Building on a 1x2 lot. The actual building is 20m wide by 45 deep, so to get it to conform to SC4s 16m grid I have had to make adjustments. None-the-less, there is a lot of visual interest with this one, and it will work well with my other London Building Packs that I have released over the years. It grows on the Euro Tileset. This Bat pack is a facsimile of building in Bedford Square, London, WC1. These are not exact copies, façades are close to real buildings, but the back sides are mostly of my imagination. I have also been very creative with the corner buildings. Still I hope that these give a feel of Bedford Square architecture. In total this pack consist 12 BAT models. Bedford Square is built in 1783 as an upper middle class residential area. It was a part of the speculated building boom, which saw London grow to North and West during late 18th Century. Bedford Square is one of the best preserved Georgian Squares in London and thus I feel it is a fine example of the Georgian architecture. Today these buildings are mostly commercial offices, but I have lotted these as residential buildings. As these were at the time of the building. The wealth level is bit of touch and go, because today a such of flat in London would cost a fortune. Still I feel that High Wealth in SC4 would require certain level of grandeur, simply being old is not good enough, so I lotted only stucco buildings as High Wealth and brick face ones are Medium Wealth. My compromise and these can be easily change if needed. The corner buildings are available as ploppable CO$$ versions and I have included a few models as 45 degree diagonal bonuses. I haven’t lotted diagonals and as I have a little experience about diagonals, I haven’t yet figured out how to use those efficiently. May be some can and is able to use bonus diagonals. The model is HD and with Maxis and Dark Night version. Night versions share IDs, so if you have both versions in the city, those will most likely conflict. Due the nature of the wells, these are not slope friendly and are at the best on relative flat terrain. If there is a demand for SD versions, I might consider it. So if you want SD BATs, please make a request. Dependencies Most buildings occupy a full lot, so the dependencies are essentially optional. However, a few lots have space on the back, so I have used some HD props on those. This small wall-to-wall library is inspired by a real life building, Karl Marx Memorial Library, in Clerkenwell, London. This is no political statement, I just like its Georgian look and it fits into my current playstyle. There are not that many historical libraries for wall-to-wall urban environment, so I decided to create one. I have made two versions, a grey stucco functional education library and an additional red brick high wealth office building. The real life building is from Georgian era, built around 1769, but has been heavily modified during its life. It has served many functions, including as a shop. During 1980's the building was renovated and the original look was restored. This BAT is based on how facade looks today. HD model with Maxis and Dark Night version. Night versions share IDs, so if you have both versions in the city, those will most likely conflict. It has a custom foundation, so it is slope friendly. I have included in a 1x1 FAR angle option of the Library building. The FAR model is included in the file and perhaps someone can do a better lotting than I did. Simmer2 has been helpful with the lotting and he has provided a custom texture for the lots. The texture dat file is included in the download. Thank You Simmer2. Clerkenwell Close This is a SD version. This one includes both Dark Nite and Maxis Night options. The Clerkenwell Close terrace row is based on a real building row at London’s Clerkenwell. This is a late Georgian townhouse, built around 1792-94. In my opinion quite typical of Georgian period townhouse in this part of London. Modest houses, but quite possibly intended for artisan / skilled worker family house. Something today we would call as the middle class, although back then there would have been servant’s rooms in the dormer. Often the townhouses were divided in to rented room lodgings and this in my mind, I have made the BATs as low wealth residence and commerce buildings. Originally this was a six house row, but today only two remain. Other four has been demolished in 1950’s to make room for nearby St James Church’s garden. Two of the houses were renovated by the Islington Council. Houses were in bad shape and most of the outer walls were rebuilt. I have based my model on 1956 drawing, although I have made some simplifications. Thus the modern houses are slight different, for example the roof is different shape now. The corner houses are fictional, just based on my imagination and only with style are companions for the terrace row. As it is difficult to grow right corner combination, I offer the corner commercial buildings as ploppable version. So that a player can finish the terrace row with matching corner building. I have also included custom foundations, but I would not call these buildings slope friendly. These are tolerant for slight elevation, but do not function well in hilly region.
