  1. AGC - Lunar DLC

    Version 1.0.0

    750 Downloads

About This File This DLC would not have been possible without the support of @Tyberius06 @SIM-ple Jack @sejr99999 Specs: This DLC contains buildings and props. Does not include lots. AGC_Buildings_Lunar_ AGC_Props_Lunar_ I will update this DLC constantly so you must be on the lookout. Includes MaxisNite & Darknite (Choose only one) Scale of the models: 133% on all axes. Installation: Unzip the "Barroco Hispano DLCs" in your Plugins Folder (I highly recommend respecting my folder system because I plan to export or update thousands of BATs). Now you can make voluntary contributions to support me in continuing to create more content for SimCity 4 (I decided to use Paypal instead of Patreon because I want everyone to have access to my content). https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=WF9FDNHXCHDVU Thanks to the few people who have donated to me.
  2. привет тут история развитие марсиан Hello here is the story of the development of Martians
  3. SimMars doesn't have wind turbines because of the very low density of the Martian atmosphere. Mars has an atmospheric pressure of less than 1% of Earth's, so having wind turbines on SimMars is pointless, right? Well, not exactly. In fact, it turns out that wind power is viable on Mars, according to NASA research. This video explains why and how. What do you think? Do you think it's high time we add some futuristic wind turbines on the red planet?

  7. Martian downtown

From the album Weekly Challenge #18 - City Life

Of all the old pictures I have to show, this one is one of the few that I can share without feeling ashamed. Welcome to Mars, the Red Planet. Overpopulation, climate changes, the global financial depression and the fear of a nuclear war forced the humanity to give Earth a break and spread to the Cosmos, feeding its hunger for knowledge and adventure and looking for a salvation. Mars is one of the first world that has been explored and colonized by the mankind and today a progress of terraforming is on the way. Until the beginning of the Green Mars Age, the colonists will have to survive on this tough planet, while building the fountains of a better future for their children.

  8. Martian Windmill

    Version 1.0

    274 Downloads

Mars has steady winds and great dust storms. You would be a fool not to take advantage of this. These windmills provide enough power for your growing colony. They produce the same amount of power as windmills on Earth. However they are slightly different from the ones on Earth to work with lower gravity and lower air pressure on Mars. You can actually see them spin as they get blown by the wind. Installation instructions. Open the folder and copy the file to My _Documents/SimCity4/Plugins_SIMMARS/-Utility Since this is a Sim Mars project you need to have the mod installed prior. But I think you know that already. https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/25031-simmars-beta-3/ No Dependencies That's all folks.
  9. Solis Planum

    Version 1.0

    454 Downloads

Hello simtropolians. I present to you my third upload, a map of the martian region Solis Planum, or Solis Plana. Solis Planum is a plain in Mars, at the south of Valles Marineris and at the southeast of Arsia Mons, it is part of the Tharsis region, a complex of plains, mountains and faults, where Valles Marineris and Olympus Mons are located. This map was made from a grayscale map extracted from a site of the USGS, Map-a-planet, with a topographic map made by MOLA, Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter. About the region. It has 32 cities, all of them big cities, in a rectangle of 8x4 big cities. The zip, 10.7 MB, files contains two folders: >Solis Planum (root): Solis Planum.png, a look with the Mars terrain, with Terraformer 1000 Mod in Sand Desert Terrain. Solis Planum with city boundaries.png, a look from the SC4 Terraformer. >>Grayscale: config.bmp, the cities configuration for the grayscale. solpnum.png, the grayscale map of the region. >>Terraformer: config.bmp, the cities configuration for the SC4 Terraformer. solisplanum.sc4m, the file with the map for SC4 Terraformer. TemplateCopyright.html, an html file for the SC4 Terraformer. Installing the region There are two ways to install the region, using SimCity4 or SC4Terraformer: Classic way, using SimCity4: Create a folder in Regions with the name Solis Planum, or another name. Copy the config.bmp and the grayscale map, solpnum.png, located in the folder Grayscale. Then run SC4, open the region and then load the grayscale with ctrl+alt+shift+r. This is the suitable way if you want it for SimMars. Using SC4Terraformer: create a folder in Regions with the name Solis Planum, or another name. Copy the config.bmp, solisplanum.sc4m and about.html. Then run SC4Terraformer and load the region folder, go to Global Tools and select Import image, select the file solisplanum.sc4m in the folder region and load it. Modify it as you want and save it. Notes Maybe you will note that there are some water bodies in the region, principally at the south and the east, an arc of mountains at the center and a plain at the north. The level 0 of the map probably is is a datum based in the triple point of the water, at 610,5 Pa of presion and 273.16 K. SC4 terraformer can raise the terrain to got a more mountainous looking or reduce the terrain level to got a more marshy looking. Just go to Global Tools > Raise/Lower Terran and write a value between 0 to 50. Also, for Linux users using SC4 with Wine on Gnome Shell or Cinnamon is recomended to disable screencast of the desktop, that is activated with the combination ctrl+alt+shift+r and interferes with the game, that doesn't allow to load the grayscale map. You can disable screencast with the keyboard settings under System Settings > Keyboard > Shortcuts. Enjoy!

This series of maps is intended for use with Sim Mars A ragged geological scar crosses the belly of Mars. Long enough to reach from New York City to Los Angeles, this great rift in the martian crust is named Valles Marineris, or Mariner Valley. It was discovered in 1972 by the Mariner 9 spacecraft. Formed out of several parallel, connecting troughs, Valles Marineris dwarfs Earth's Grand Canyon in every respect, being wider, longer, deeper, and older. It easily earns the title of Grandest Canyon of All. Location: -10°N, 290°E Valley Size: 2371km x 1186km or 1473mi x 737mi Due to the valley's size I mapped it into 64 zones each on a 16x16 region of large city tiles. I am only including the first 9 screen shots in a joined image to keep the upload down in size. Pick and choose which regions you wish to build on and discard the rest if you want or use them all if you have space after rendering. With some photo editing of contrast and brightness you can modify the depth of the canyons then tweek the water table depending on the desired level of terraforming you want in your game. Then when importing into your game I recommend use of a reddish brown sandstone terrain mod placed in a "zz " root folder.
  11. Stop the world, I want to get off. The human pioneering spirit is far from dead.
  12. Overview ~ Mars, a vastly populated backwater human colony is the front for what would revolutionize and turn the tides of the war against the defying Reapers. On an isolated Archives facility holding untranslated Prothean data caches and information, something in this very archive could be the life line of the galaxy; and the deciding fate of their survival. But when Cerberus gets involved, the situation complicates further. Hellken Thanks a lot! andisart Thanks! Forthwall Thanks Shub Hazani Pratama Thank you! DubaiDude Thanks! MilitantRadical Thanks a lot! The game definitely did have amazing lighting, one of those little things you can appreciate And no, I hadn't gone far enough to develop night lights for the BAT. Just a plain day compatible BAT, but I'll think about developing the nightlights when I have time Republic Master Lol, yeah Thanks a lot Will! KonstantinII Thank you! ggamgus Thanks a lot! #1SithLord Thanks a lot daTSchikinhed Thanks, glad you appreciate it SimCities Thank you! Efkin Thanks! ________________________________________________________________________________________ Note: Now this update was quite time consuming. All in all, I spent about 12 hours on it lol. About 11 hours developing the BAT, 10 minutes on the setting and about 50 minutes photoshopping. As you can see, it took a while Luckily, unlike my previous update, this comes with a massive mosaic rather than a lone pic. So hopefully you appreciate the amount of work that went into this one update! Turned out better than expected considering that I've been texturing with Google Sketch up's crappy paintbucket thing. Yep, it's on Mars. Particularly made based on the mission Priority:Mars that takes you to a Martian Colony Archives, storing information and data caches on the Protheans and their research. And no I did not make this with SimMars ________________________________________________________________________________________ Far off from the Violaceus Nebula (Violet Nebula) at the Human home system of Sol, Cerberus is out raiding an Martian Colonial Archives facility harboring salvaged Prothean data caches and information regarding to the race, technology and data on the early evolution of Humanity during its Cro-Magnon stage. But with the Reapers arriving in brute force, first striking at the Human homeworld of Earth, information from this archives facility could hold the life-line of the galaxy in the new war that has arisen in the back alley of the Milky Way. But Cerberus' mysterious figure head, the Illusive Man is not the only one scowering the planet for vital information. After leaving Vancouver, Canada in the midst of fire and landing Reaper ships, Commander Shepard and his team were ordered by Admiral Hackett to search the facility for a potential weapon against the Reapers. But unaware of Cerberus' presence, the potential for losing the vital information was unknown to them. The complex was not large, and first thought would see no problem in acquiring the desired information. But with Cerberus involved, their plans would be compromised. As they made contact with the Martian Surface, they immediately sighted the archives facility. A dust storm was approaching, and the winds were beginning to pick up. They'd need to get there sooner before they began to lose communication with each other and the Normandy. And the sooner they got in and out with the data, the sooner they could act on ending the Reaper war. When they arrived at the Landing Zone just out of the facility, the could see in the further out distance Cerberus soldiers executing Facility staff and scientists. Seems like a simple retrieval of sensitive data would be a lot more difficult. _________________________________________________________________________________ Thanks for viewing TMW! 13. Valles Marineris V2

    Version 1.0

    781 Downloads

Hello simtropolians. This is my second upload to ST, and is the version number two of the first map of Valles Marineris, with a better resolution and more accurate to the reality. As everbody knows, Valles Marineris is a system of faults and canyons located near the equator of Mars, at the east of Tharsis. Unlike its predecesor, this map is more accurate to the reality. It was made from a grayscale map extracted from a site of the USGS, Map-a-planet, with a topographic map made by MOLA, Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter. About the region. It has 160 cities, 55 big cities, 32 medium cities and 73 small cities. The zip files contains two folders: Valles_Marineris_V2 (root): Valles Marineris Aereal: a look from the SC4Terraformer, this will give you an idea of the cities distribution and the sea level. Valles Marineris Mars Terrain: this is an look of the region from the standard of SC4, with the Terraformer 1000 Mod in Sand Desert Terrain. Readme: the readme file, is the same description as here. >Grayscale folder: config.bmp: the standard region config. vallesmarineris.png: the grayscale map. >Terraformer folder: config.bmp: the standard region config. vallesmarineris.SC4M: the map for the SC4Terraformer. about.html: a single html file for SC4Terraformer. Installing the region There are two ways to install the region, using SimCity4 or SC4Terraformer: Classic way, using SimCity4: Create a folder in Regions with the name Valles Marineris, or another name. Copy the config.bmp and the grayscale map, vallesmarineris.png, located in the folder Grayscale. Then run SC4, open the region and then load the grayscale with ctrl+alt+shift+r. This is the suitable way if you want it for SimMars. Using SC4Terraformer: create a folder in Regions with the name Valles Marineris, or another name. Copy the config.bmp, vallesmarineris.SC4M and about.html. Then run SC4Terraformer and load the region folder, go to Global Tools and select Import image, select the file vallesmarineris.SC4M in the folder region and load it. Modify it as you want and save it. Notes The sea level is too high, this will not look well in a terraformed enviroment (using an Earth terrain) and the region will be more water than land. Since there are no seas on Mars, the default level is a datum based in the triple point of the water, at 610,5 Pa of presion and 273.16 K, this is probably the level 0 of the map. With SC4 Terraformer is possible to raise the terrain and give to the region a more balanced look, just go to Global Tools > Raise Terran and write a value, reccomended between 100 and 170. A value lower than 100 will show more water, a value over 170 will show more land. Enjoy!

WARNING! If you have problems with the installation of Barsoom Project and the manual can't help, please check this topic. Building a city of the future on Earth? Established a colony on an extrasolar Earth-like planet, like Kepler 22-b? Did you finally terraformed planet Mars? For any case, you need more futuristic buildings. SimMars Beta 3 has tons of awesome buildings, but they are incompatible for green environments... until now Memories of the Colonists is back and fully updated. All the cool buildings from SimMars will finally be compatible on green environments. No more red barren lots with dust, but green lots with grass, trees, Sims, birds etc. Check the screen shots to see it by yourself This mod contain my reloting work, as well as a copy of SimMars itself (the leader of SimMars team Andisart gave me the idea and permission to do it). Because it's too huge for the Simtropolis servers, the mod is in external sites. Download this text to find them. After downloading, check the readme for installation guide. Extra dependencies: There's been a bug discovered where the Mars Face landmark has no model file. To fix it, download it from http://www.mediafire...pyy5ua2speokbup and place it into +Landmarks/SM_LM_MarsFace folder. BLaM Overpath Props --> It's a bit odd that cars have to drive over the sidewalk to reach any parking lot. This dependency will make the lots more realistic by adding visual connections between the roads and the lots. Maxis props --> In some lots I placed some Maxis buildings to make them a bit more realistic. Let me thank the SimMars team who allows me to use their great stuff and for their help. I also wanna thank the communities of SimPeg and SC4Devotion for their help and ideas

  17. Update 12: Planet Happy

Alejandro24: A global "government" based on science may sounds odd, but it's the best choice for the humanity. A world where scientists and computers liberates the humanity of all the nasty problems, like wars and pollution. Believe it or not, the base of this vision was established thousends of years ago, in the Ionian Civilization. An ancient nation where the citizens reject religions and prefer to use science in order to explore the world and discover the position of human in this world. So a futuristic science-based government is not as "impossible" as some people think. In SimMars Beta 3 background story, terraforming progress was already began, making the planet a bit more friendly. But still there are no seas and plants, so Mars is still hostile. Back to Eden Update 12: Planet Happy "Happiness comes only when we push our brains and hearts to the farthest reaches of which we are capable." Leo Rosten For many years, Sims thought that Mars in nothing more than an another dead, cold, useless piece of rock. Today, Mars is a new, brave world. A world based on science, where computers liberate the Sims and everything is free for everyone. A world rich of native life and remnants of ancient civilizations. A world where Sims are evolving from Homo Sapiens to Homo Superior. A world that now is transforming into a new Earth. In this world we'll explore a new colony called Fun-5, which is next to Love-4 Here is Fun-5 from the sky. Interesting layout, don't you think? To visit Fun-5, you can use airplanes, magnetic supersonic trains, buses or underground flexible taxi-trains. This crater is one of the most interesting landmarks of Fun-5. This is from where the colonists take the electricity and the clean water they need. A typical example of the Martian street art, a tree like sculpture. Let's have a look to the homes of Fun-5. This is the C.B.D. of Fun-5. Time to explore the industries. Don't surprised however if you see commercial skyscrapers too The majority of SimMartians are atheists, while the Cybernated Government also prefers science than any kind of religion to unite the people. However Mars has the most monasteries, temples, mosques e.t.c. in the Solar System, and that's because Mars has no state religion and all SimMartians respect everybody's believe. This Muslim mosque in Fun-5 prove that Mars is your heaven, no matter in what you believe And why Fun-5 has this name? Because of all those domed parks, open air plazas, hotels, venues, sport arenas, domed swimming pools e.t.c..

It will bring new buildings, transportation systems, user-interface and music and will replace the Maxis SimCity 4 content as far as possible, giving you the feeling to play a colony on Mars. Beta 3 is another step towards the goal of SimMars. Most main game functions and buildings have been replaced and the mod plays fairly well now. However, it is still a beta and hence unfinished. Not everything is replaced yet or fully functional. SimMars will install and play completely separate from your SimCity 4 installation. ___________________________________________________________________ BETA 3 FILESIZE: 277MB Due to the size, the installer is hosted on an external file hosting site (Mod DB).
