Completed in 1978, the Silberturm (Silver Tower) is located in central Frankfurt, Germany. Formerly the country's tallest building, it stands 32 stories high. This building sits on a 4x4 lot and comes in growable and ploppable CO$$$ varieties, both of which provide 4638 jobs. Both Darknite and Maxisnite versions are provided. Only one may be used at a time. The Darknite version requires SimFox's Day and Nite Modd. Dependencies: BSC Common Dependencies Pack Enjoy! -
@korver, @mitsos, @rivit, @Kloudkicker, @Nero55, @TogaMasterJohn, @ByeByeBayou, @mrsmartman, @Schulmanator, @ulisse and @mattb325, thank you very much for your likes, comments and follows, as well as your wishes for my birthday. If you have found any idea, discovery, technology, invention and solution, please let me know and I'll include it to Fairview A new town is under development, but for now let's have a last look at Everret Green, this time at night. I remember myself as a student of Technological Educational Institute of Ionian Islands in Zakynthos. One night I waked up in the midnight for some reason and I decided to just hit the road and start walking in the streets of Zakynthos City. It was so quiet, so peaceful, so beautiful. I had a feeling so unique that I always try to capture it in my night pictures. I hope you share the same feeling with me right now. And speaking about feelings and decisions... Today, more and more people agree that the modern inhuman way of living, being always on-foot to work for the rest of your life in an endless sleep-work-repeat circle, it's detrimental for our physical and spiritual health. But by having a different way of thinking and acting, we could be the masters of our life and live however we wish. In a society where money -or any kind of trade- doesn't govern us anymore, where there would be no trace of modern society's narrow-minded rules and perceptions, people will not feel the need to be so obsessed with tracking the time and chasing the clock, and they'll just live, discover, enjoy, relax, think, create, explore and communicate. The entire day and the entire night will be theirs to live. This is why Everret Green and the rest of Fairview is so quiet and so busy at the same time, having its own lifestyle. While some of the machines and robots are still working, many people prefer stargazing, having some peaceful walks in the streets of the town, playing games with their friends, or just sleeping. Here are some examples of night freedom. A basketball match at 1:00 am. With no criminals here and without any reason to wake up early, you can spend your entire nights outdoor. Heck, you can even sleep on one of the benches and nobody will disturb you. A tennis match at 2:00 am. Don't worry, all buildings are sound insulated, so nobody's sleep is going to be disrupted. Look at the cultural museum of the town (the domed buildings next to the police station) and you'll see some kids playing with the fire hydrant at 3:00 am. All cars here are equipped with computers and sensors, so if they see a kid they'll immediately stop. You don't need to wait for the daylight to go wherever you want. Just pick the magnetic train or the underground pods anytime you want to. Or, go out and explore the forest of Everret Green, admire the beautiful owls, watch from safe distant animals like bears and deer, let the moonlight illuminate your way, feel one with the nature. Always with caution. Oh, by the way, Everret Green and the rest of Fairview region celebrated the New Year's Eve last week. Not with firework displays, though. While they're spectacular, fireworks have a tremendous impact to the environment. They pollute the atmosphere, they produce a lot of noise, and they can even kill dozens of birds and other animals. And of course since they are for just a single use, we don't need to mention how wasteful they are. This is why Fairview celebrated New Year's Eve with drone displays, like this one happened in Solvag in 2019. Everret Green deployed hundreds of drones up the sky, all controlled by the central Artificial Intelligence of the town, providing a beautiful display of different colors and shapes. Those drones are propelled by ion engines to minimize noise pollution, are equipped with sensors to detect and avoid any flying animal like bats and owls, and their lights are bright enough to perform a spectacular show without contributing to light pollution. And unlike fireworks, drones can be used again and again. Why noise and violent explosions, when you can have futuristic and humble dancing lights? Some of you might ask if this entry is supposed to be a festive one. Well, yes, but in my way. Today is Theophany in Greece, a Christian feast day that celebrates the revelation of God incarnate as Jesus Christ, and thus the final day of our festive period. So party time is over, but not without a final wish to all of you. I'm not here to wish you have a happy new year. I'm here to encourage you to build the happy year you all deserve to have. 2020 sucked, so let's give our best selves to make 2021 suck less. There's still a pandemic out there, so stay safe, trust science, put a mask, wash your hands, do the vaccine (don't worry, it will not turn you into zombies), and protect your family and friends. Be the hero you always needed

_____The Simtopian Dream Simtopia features several recent models by our SC4 CGI artists, mostly commercial and residential towers, using the IRM for industrial support, and including a wide selection of floral MMPs for landscaping. I focused mainly on tall buildings, landscaping and layout, painting 2.5 GB of plugins on the SC4 canvas while running the simulator at cheetah speed in heavily-modded mode. I wanted to study how tile-sets, custom content growables and ploppables function in the simulator. In the lower right corner of the Simtopian Dream banner region is the Sky2222 on a small tile, it is the tallest fictional building I've ever found on the STEX. _____Region View _____The Eve of Simtopia Simtopia is a utopian idea inspired by civil design and philosophy as early as 320 BC in the Mediterranean. Based on the concept of justice, engineering continues to enable construction of modern architecture, civil and technological facilities worldwide and in space. Development continues toward the world conceived over 2300 years ago. _____The Dawn of Simtopia In the Gaian hypothesis as in ancient Greek mythology, the Earth is considered a living whole and Life and Cosmos are an intregrated system. Thea, meaning 'divine light', the daughter of Gaia, the mother of light, raises the city platform to begin the Simtopian day. Concrete, steel, and glass, the essential building materials of the modern world and as models rendered in SC4 reflect a high precison of their color, texture and form. The buildings are designed to be both beautiful and functional, and engineering continues to improve their strength against forces of nature as well as balancing with delicate biotics of nature. _____I. The City Life In the heart of Simtopia are the venues of civics, culture, sports and entertainment. Busy harbours and streets are kept clean by the use of hydrogen fuel and electric power. Simtopia is heavily-treed with a variety of parks and cultural sites. Factories are kept small and spaced between stores, offices and housing. A fresh-water creek meanders through town to the sea from a small mountain where physics and astronomy research facilities are placed around a public planetarium used for entertainment and education. At night Simtopians attend stadiums for sports and shows, the planetarium displays a live view of the night sky projected by a large radio telescope that filters through the city light. The model used for the large radio telescope is based on the 305 meter Arecibo Radio Telescope, the Nexis Space Ears. (A similar 500 meter radio telescope was more recently constructed in China.) Art museums, libraries, theaters and archives are arranged in walking distance like on a college campus. Elevated Inter-urban freeways connect major commercial, residential and industrial centers, buffered by tall trees, many of the tall, well-lit landmarks provide easy navigation through the city. _____II. The People Places The freeway loops around the largest stadium, a model of the air supported Tokyo Dome with a capacity of 55,000. Tokyo Dome is similar to BC Place stadium in Vancouver which has since replaced air support with a retractable roof. A busy main seaport surrounds the outdoor Bailey's Stadium, a fictional building in the corner of town with major highway neighbor connections. Simtopia is well connected to neighboring cities which are yet to be developed. Yurtec Stadium is a functional commercial venue in the tourist district where Don Miguel's world famous Barnacle Seafood Restaurant and Deppiesse's Diner can be found. The city zoo now converted to a petting zoo with small herbivores and Llamas is surrounded by hobby farms and wineries, and a farmer's market, contributing to agricultural tourism on the city's edge. A monorail train arrives at the station where visitors can begin a walking tour of the agricultural estates. _____III. Building the Dream On the other edge of town light manufacturing and high tech. begin stretching out from the freight rail station. Apply yourself to the technologies and industries of Simtopia, all applications are well-received and duly processed for the benefit and benevolence of civil society. Build a world, make it more beautiful and strong than all chaos and waste. Suffer with the light and strive against the darkness. Those are my offices there in the H1 Tower to the left. The floor spaces of the highrise are very wide, each floor requires many technicians co-ordinating several applications of knowledge and skill. _____The Simtopian Dream Credits for the building models would be quite extensive, so I will mention only 5 model makers who have most recently contributed many excellent buildings to the STEX: Diego del Llano, JP Schriefer, Kellydale2003, Jasoncw, and Mattb325, whose works appear prominently in many of the scenes above. Alejandro24: A global "government" based on science may sounds odd, but it's the best choice for the humanity. A world where scientists and computers liberates the humanity of all the nasty problems, like wars and pollution. Believe it or not, the base of this vision was established thousends of years ago, in the Ionian Civilization. An ancient nation where the citizens reject religions and prefer to use science in order to explore the world and discover the position of human in this world. So a futuristic science-based government is not as "impossible" as some people think. In SimMars Beta 3 background story, terraforming progress was already began, making the planet a bit more friendly. But still there are no seas and plants, so Mars is still hostile. Back to Eden Update 12: Planet Happy "Happiness comes only when we push our brains and hearts to the farthest reaches of which we are capable." Leo Rosten For many years, Sims thought that Mars in nothing more than an another dead, cold, useless piece of rock. Today, Mars is a new, brave world. A world based on science, where computers liberate the Sims and everything is free for everyone. A world rich of native life and remnants of ancient civilizations. A world where Sims are evolving from Homo Sapiens to Homo Superior. A world that now is transforming into a new Earth. In this world we'll explore a new colony called Fun-5, which is next to Love-4 Here is Fun-5 from the sky. Interesting layout, don't you think? To visit Fun-5, you can use airplanes, magnetic supersonic trains, buses or underground flexible taxi-trains. This crater is one of the most interesting landmarks of Fun-5. This is from where the colonists take the electricity and the clean water they need. A typical example of the Martian street art, a tree like sculpture. Let's have a look to the homes of Fun-5. This is the C.B.D. of Fun-5. Time to explore the industries. Don't surprised however if you see commercial skyscrapers too The majority of SimMartians are atheists, while the Cybernated Government also prefers science than any kind of religion to unite the people. However Mars has the most monasteries, temples, mosques e.t.c. in the Solar System, and that's because Mars has no state religion and all SimMartians respect everybody's believe. This Muslim mosque in Fun-5 prove that Mars is your heaven, no matter in what you believe And why Fun-5 has this name? Because of all those domed parks, open air plazas, hotels, venues, sport arenas, domed swimming pools e.t.c..
