Central School Building
Built in 1880 and torn down in 1955, The Central School building educated the kids of Wellsville, OH for 75 years. Now replaced with McDonald Elementary School on the same ground. It featured a tall bell tower in the center and had a large auditorium on its 3rd floor, which was closed off as unsafe in 1953, the last year it was open. - 3

Nuclear City
Today's update is a little more, shall we say, utilitarian than usual (okay, you can stop groaning at that pun now). I've shown Nyhaven and Kendall's transportation infrastructure here plenty of times, but until a couple of months ago, I had neglected the even-more-important electric infrastructure. After all, without a constant supply of electricity, what would power the metro area's economy? (Okay, I'll stop punning now. ) I recently finished working on my first modular nuclear power plant, the Marshland Nuclear Generating Station. While most of Lower Columbia's old uranium-fueled nuclear plants have been decommissioned or converted to thorium-fueled reactors, this beast of a power plant is still active, just upriver from Nyhaven International Airport. Here's another view of the plant, showing some of the high-voltage wires carrying its gigawatts of power to the whole region. I recently replaced the wired pylons I originally used with these larger, wireless ones; this change allowed me to increase the spacing between them to something more realistic, while the invisible transmission lots I added keep the lines functional. The only catch is the lack of true FA3 pylons; I've substituted the turn pylons to simulate them, since they're at roughly the same angles. Some of the power lines running from this plant follow the railroad west past the town of Marshland (which, as you might imagine, is the plant's namesake). The town rail station was greatly expanded when the nearby industrial park was built. Marshland sits at the edge of the metro area (for now). But it isn't the edge of the region anymore! The Marshland quad used to be in the southeast corner of the region, but thanks to my painstaking efforts, the Nyhaven region is now twice its former size - 99 large quads instead of 49 (or roughly 44x36 km vs. 28x28 km). In fact, the first two pictures above wouldn't even have been possible before I expanded the region, since they cross the border into two of the new quads. Now I can build Kendall's suburbs as far out as I want - and as you can see, I've already done a lot of work on them. In all, the region is now home to 3.3 million people, thanks in part to those new suburbs. What's with that big black box labeled "SECRET", you ask? Well, you'll find out before long. Suffice it to say, though, that it will be no flight of fancy... - 19

Intro, Bell-Nord Metropolitan Area
Hi Everybody! In other posts, I've shown you a bit of Tora... Today I'll show you the whole metropolitan area. Called Bell-Nord, this is a peculiar kind of metropolis. Tora, Besurt, Ginesta and Vange are old medieval cities, built very near one from another... so much than after the centuries have become a single metropolis (maybe is to soon to call it a metropolies, but i'm a believer... ). Beech, Arc de Mar, Muixa or Nea Tora are examples of new cities, with no history before 1920. The public transportation is very important for Bellnordians -Green is cool! They say. If you're planning to visit the city, this map may help you, not to lose yourself... I'm pretty sure, if you visited this nice spot on the mediterranean sea, you bought at least some of this postcards... Postcards from Bell-nord Tora, the oldest town, the first... the one and only. It is the perfect city for an artist, a designer, a melancholic writer... Tora offers the best cultural scene, under the blue light of the sea, just perfect! Built mostly on the 70's Nea Tora is a little less poetic than it's neighbor. Hipsters love it anyway, so decadent... Arc de Mar is far less green than the rest of the cities in Bell-Nord. Runned by speculators, here there's no room for trees! Vange is the smallest of the old medieval towns od Bell-Nord, and the richer one. Look at their roundabouts, so fancy... ohh, and the even have their own Apple Store! This city was founded in 1920, by some thiefs; they say than a night between jokes, beers and an epic after party (still recalled), they decided to set the city. The history of the city is easy: "-Every piece of land will be always sold to the better payer. Then, now and always" To be continued... Hope you liked! - 6

Introduction
Welcome to Tecta, the Jewel of the USU! This CJ is about a city that I abandoned about 2 years ago and have recently began playing again. It had some major issues, some of which still aren't resolved, and I'm hoping to get some constructive criticism on how to fix them. Without any more introductions, I'm going to give you some history and information on the region's largest city, North Bank City. North Bank City is the largest city and county seat of Kelly County. The area has been inhabited by native Sims for hundreds of years, but only became an incorporated city in 1937, when Bruce Upleger established the Village of Upleger. In 1963, the city was renamed North Bank City, because of its position on the Pelham River. From here, the city's population slowly increased until it was at about 75,000 in 1991. From here, the population boomed and it is now at 101,000. This population boom was due to the high availability of jobs in the city. The economy also grew during this time, because of the tourism industry. 1. North Bank City is located near the Pelham River Delta area. This is prime location for shipping and transportation. Much of the city outside of downtown consists of suburbs and smaller business and commercial parks. 2. Downtown North Bank City, nicknamed "The Bank", is located on the northern bank of the Pelham River. Here you can see famous tourist destinations such as the National One Bank Tower, Perry Station, Taylor Performing Arts Center, Central Park, and the North Bank Zoo. 3. Central Park has been part of the Urban Renewal Project set up in 2011. Before the park, there were old, dilapidated low-class housing projects that were quite the eyesore. The residents were moved to better housing in the many suburbs surrounding North Bank City. 4. Town Circle is the center point of the city. It separates downtown and midtown and is used by almost any Sim that has to commute downtown. 5. Perry Station is the famous first train station built in North Bank City. Erected in 1945, this station has seen trains carrying passengers, ammunition, soldiers, and vehicles. It also houses a WWII museum. 6. Here is a very simple transit map. Key: Red - Interstate Yellow - Beltway Green - Rail/Rail Station Purple - Avenue Thank you for reading this! I hope it isn't too terrible! The next update will probably be more of the tourism and transportation of NBC (North Bank City). Again, thank you! -

Ocean Valley- Beautiful City, Beautiful place
Its time for a redo of Ocean Valley- I know, I know- not again right? Well ya- every time they update Skylines I have to start over- Founded in 1189 as the Kingdom of Zyphone, the castle no longer exists and has since washed into the ocean over the years. Before that it was a tiny village dating to the stone age, then bronze, and iron age- at was under the control of the Roman Empire. Some of the original roman village layout exists in the road layout.
Ocean Valley Intl Airport- located on the ocean the landing is a beautiful landing as you look out over the sea. The airport was completed in the 1960s and replaced the old Ocean Valley City Center Airport. A highly used airport, its a hub for traffic heading from other world airports to parts of Teddyland, and is often the first place in Teddyland you see.
St May's Catholic Church- built in 1878, St Mary's is a landmark in itself- Located along an old roman road, its in a busy part of town, near parks, quaint homes, and schools.
across from the church is this quaint neighborhood- as you can see your not far from the ocean here, The highway forms the edge of this neighborhood, yet the quiet prevails. This is a reminder that you are, in fat, in the heart of a sea side city.
Port of Ocean Valley- one of the busiest ports in the nation, the Port of Ocean Valley has both cruise and freight ships almost daily. This cargo hub is a stop for trucks as they provide the goods for the nations needs from far away places over seas.
A seaview is abundant from this sea side homes near the airport- part of a restoration project, these homes are built with views in mind, they aren't cheap, averaging $890,000 for views like this. However each home is designed to take in the views, with a short walk to the sea for those without the best of views- whether taking in the sun set, or just to look at at the vast expanse of the ocean, to own these homes is like owning- paradise.
Ocean Valley Consert Hall- on of the last remaining structures from the past, the concert hall was built in 1599 and is the oldest continuously run concert hall in the nation. Located near St. Mary's people can take in shows here, and feel a satisfaction like never before. This is a sanctuary for many, and a great way to end a stressful day. See you soon-- Read More

1 - Airport Special District (Part 1)
RAY ISLANDS CITY JOURNAL BY RAIKIP 1 - Airport Special District (Part 1) Hello everybody and welcome to the Ray Islands! In this post we will be exploring the Airport Special District, a suburb of Summerdale in this post. For the sake of convenience I will be referring the Airport Special District as the District as that's easier to type. Airport Special District stats: (Current) Population: 20,094 sims Major roads passing through: Freeway 1, Toll Freeway 14, Freeway 314, National Highways 45 and 10 Map / Overview: Yeah, I have to admit that map was badly photoshopped... On to the Journal! First let's take a look at one of the island's biggest freeway interchanges, the Airport Interchange between Freeways 1 and 14. (here is a version of the photo without signs) \/ click here This massive interchange contains 3 levels, 7 ramps, and at its widest point a total of 14 lanes! It was built to handle incoming traffic headed toward the future airport as well as commuters getting off and on Freeways 1 and 14, both major roads within the Greater Summerdale Area. Another major attraction within the District is the Gateway Mall! Taking advantage of the District's very low commerce taxes, this large mall draws in a very large crowd from across the entire island. Along with a super regional shopping mall, within the surrounding areas many large chain stores have set up shop within the area such as Target, Home Depot, Ikea, and many more! Here's a picture of the mall and its surrounding shopping centers. If your wondering why there is a brown box in the middle of the Super Target shopping center, yeah I don't know either. (I have figured out the source of the problem but cannot fix it for some reason.) Click here for a more close look at some miscellaneous shopping centers. \/ Here is a more closer look at the transit center for the Gateway Mall area. I'm going to leave you all with a picture of some of the more residential areas of the city. click this to see more pictures \/ Well that's it for today everyone! Opinions on the city are GREATLY appreciated. See you all later! -

Hello people. Today I'm gonna post a teaser of my newest city, Arapari. It's a huge metropolis inspired in São Paulo, Brazil. First we have a scene from República neighborhood, with Theatro Municipal, second we have a favela far south from downtown, third we have a wealthy neighborhood and forth it's República again, with the Santander Cultural Museum. Replies + Teaser
Replies to the last teaser: @Ln X : What a GIF! I will check out the early areas to see New Sorgun when it was a tiny village.
Thanks! I’ve been trying to get images of the town throughout the years with the idea of a gif in the back of my head. Glad it’s finally paid off
@raynev1 : Awesome GIF , showing the growth . Great and creative idea . I think that your entries are fantastic.
Thank you! Hopefully I can keep it up and we’ll get a GIF spanning three more decades.
@GoKingsGo: Way cool! Nice even/realistic growth
Thanks for stopping by!
@tankmank : Rear Gif, I like to see how the little town has grown over the years.
Tanks man!
@Schulmanator: Awesome gif! Perhaps New SorGun's future will include feline rule?
The results are in… scroll down to find out
@noahclem: Love the gif! The growth over time appears quite realistic. Wish I'd remembered to mention W Bush's joke about being a tree farmer in response to the last update: “It helps me practice my stump speech!”
*Badam tish*
@kelistmac: Me too, I love that gif !! Can't wait for the rest
Thanks, and I hope you enjoyed the full update. Replies to Election Day: @gviper, @philforhockey51, @feyss, @MilitantRadical:
Thanks for the kind words and support!
@kschmidt: Very nice town, women voting still a long way to go; some suffrage women around, well done !
Thanks! Unfortunately there was a glitch when using the ‘post in the future’ option and I had to remove the first entry – so now your comment is saved for posterity here
@raynev1: This CJ is so awesome , you have made Simcity4 more like Simcity1800's . The images are fascinating to look at and a cool story as well . Viewing the first image to the last was so nice . You have done a great job . And that GIF , . The progression is astounding . I know I said it before and I'll say it again with each time you post one .
Like I told kschmidt, there was a glich in the entry, so your comment disappeared – so sorry! Anyway, thanks for the compliments, they really made my day!
@MissVanleider: Great entry, always nice to see. Early exit polls predict a landslide victory! New SorGun , Rocks !
Thanks – but we know how reliable exit polls can be… just ask President Gore
@kelistmac: Fantastic update ! I like all the pictures but that one with that canal... fantastic as always !!
Thanks!
@tariely: I love the animation picture ! As I've seen New Sorgun grow from the very beginning, it brings back fond memories. Remind me : (1) are those good people available in MMPs (I think so, with the docks, but I am not sure) ; and (2) what are they building near City Hall ?
Thank you – it was fun to go back and dig up some of those old pictures. Times have changed! Yep, you can find those people as MMPs in the historic harbor set. And as for the new construction… There’s always something new going on in New SorGun
@takemethere: Great looking 19th century scenery there and Kitty all the way, she's got what it takes
Kitty thanks you for your support!
@Fox: I have to agree that the animated picture is awesome. Congratulations on getting this election to be more enjoyable than the current election. Best of luck to both candidates.
Thanks Fox!
@Schulmanator: Great looking pictures! And I would take either candidate over anyone running for President this year!!
That seems to be a reoccurring theme in these comments
@Ln X: Amazing pictures, great use of MMPs and T21s! The smudgy/wavy photoshop effect you use works really well.
Thank you Ln X! Some of those extra close-up images get a little pixelated, so there are some photoshop tricks that I have discovered to help smooth them out
@Cyclone Boom: Well done, an engaging narrative (including the previous entries). Also the pictures are so authentic to this era. Love the time-lapse too, a neat way of showing development. Just wondering how you managed to get all the frames taken from the same position? It's very effective, and might even be a possible idea for a ST challenge!
Thanks CB! It took a little time in photoshop, but I just aligned all the images (I used some trees that have been there since the very beginning as a reference) and then cropped it nice and tidy like. Then I used a .GIF maker to add the fade effects from one image to the other. I can't wait to see what the new season of Challenges brings us
@Themistokles: Lovely as always! How did you get such realistic steam from the locomotive?
Thanks! That is just my amateurish photoshop attempt at steam, so I’m glad you like the result
@cmdp123789: I am blown away with this.. I honestly, and no joke here, I loved that GIF.. that made it for me.. that was it. Great update! And I really like it when people can be part of it too.. the voting process makes us all part of the big picture, and that makes it feel almost real!
Thank you for the wonderful compliments!
@sucram17: Kitty! Would be really great to see a lady in the ruling post. Best regards/ santa malin
Kitty is fighting for the working class, and she appreciates your support.
@TekindusT: This update was electrifying! Only a few can describe here in ST the sensations of excitation and uncertainty an election day causes! And the GIF, the MMPs... brilliant once again.
Thanks Tek! I’m always happy to see you stop by
@tankmank: And election day is upon us. I have enjoyed the whole process, some great images, the work gone into them must be staggering. Looking forward to seeing who will win.
Thank you Tank! Stay tuned to see how things pan out.
@ROFLyoshi: Can I vote for Donald Trump instead?
I’m pretty sure the citizens of New SorGun would be pretty suspicious of one of those east coast business types
@Titanicbuff: As a Hillary supporter its time for the woman to lead- so I voted for Kitty- after all, women need to be able to lead should they choose.
Kitty thanks you for your support.
@Belfastsocrates: Love it! Goodness I really enjoy this CJ. It's such unique and well-crafted work and has a superb quality to it. From the HD props to the MMP work to your gorgeous buildings, Top quality work!
Thank you! I’m hoping to get some of your great models into New SorGun in the near future
@Urban Constanta: now this is what i call a real piece of F*****g alternate history! I love every post you have. Amazing work. PS i voted for kitty :)))
Thanks Urban! I’ve always liked alternate history fiction, so I appreciate your compliments.
@Cyclone Boom: This is running right down to the wire -- it might need a recount!
EDIT: Not now, looks like Mr Finch has a clear victory.
Yes… the voters have spoken… Next time…
The tumultuous election is finally in the history books and New SorGun has elected Eastman T. Finch as the next Mayor. The voting was close, and some predicted a Kitty victory as the early returns came in, but an avalanche of Finch supporters finally put him over the top.
However, Eastman Finch’s greatest challenges still lie ahead…
Stay tuned…

A City To Remember
Ash City- A city to remember Welcome back- in this edition we'll show you some parts of the city- some are hidden treasures, others are well visible. We'll see many of the sites of the city, and an oddly placed residential zone that backs against the airport.
The Bus Terminal- Built in 1989, the bus terminal is a hub of activity. Beautifully designed inside and out, it features large windows that are great for viewing the city's mountains. Many tourists come through here. Depending on how far you've come, its not a cheap ride.
2 historic structures- located near the stadium and city hall, these structures were part of the city rebuild as mentioned last time- The telephone building- built in 1899, it was designed by Frank Marshall. Next door is the old Gruberton Hotel- built in 1889 it was designed by Bobby Troyal Mills and features an impressive interior. Its interior is all original and features a marble fountain as a center piece.
A residential area backed against the airport- an odd location it overlooks the man made Bowerly Lake. Even with its odd location against the runways it is still one of the most popular areas to live in the city.
Horchester Interchange- Completed in 1988 it bridges 3 highways- 2 don't connect to each other, but all 3 connect to the main highway through town heading east to west- an odd layout, its a frequent hub of activity in this majestic city.
Downtown- simple designs make up this area of town. The reason? Its believed that if a building is too fancy, it'll take away from the surrounding mountains, thus the city chose to use a more simplistic style for its downtown. A pine tree lined street makes up the northern artery, while here a simple design makes up the south route. Many office buildings line this beautiful location, and apartments in sky-rises are at a premium. Average rent- $4500/mo for a 2 bedroom.
Thats a look at the majestic Ash City- enjoy the stay.

Gypsy Hill
Good Evening Everyone and welcome to the newest entry for Powhatan Island!!! Replies: @Kim SunwooThank you for the kind words! I appreciate it! @MymyjpThank you!!!! This entry covers the town of Gypsy Hill, which I named after Gypsy Hill Park in Staunton, Virginia. This town is one of the older towns in the state of Powhatan Island, and located just east of the tallest peak in the state, Gypsy Hill, which is a monadnock isolated from the Appalachian Mountains far to the west. The town recently experienced significant growth as many people moved to the town to escape relatively high cost of living closer to Powhatan City, and to be near the mountain and Powhatan National Forest, which surrounds the mountain and covers about 1/3rd of the entire southern island of the state. Gypsy Hill is also the home of the Powhatan Island Military Academy, a senior military college similar to The Citadel, Virginia Military Institute, and Norwich University. Without further adieu, here is Gypsy Hill, showcasing the recently installed Meadowshire Terrain Mod by C.P., complementing his tree mod which I've had for years! Gypsy Hill's small, quaint downtown: A shot of downtown with the Town Hall: A commuter train heading towards Powhatan City, passing thru downtown: The town is filled with numerous historic neighborhoods, with most homes being built between 1705 and 1920: Here is Powhatan Island Brewing Company, a fine craft brewery producing numerous varieties of delicious ales, located southwest of town: And here is Powhatan Island Military Academy, or PIMA, this is a major work-in-progress and I will probably replace the parade ground with SimPeg's ploppable Civil War soldiers and add a bunch of other details to enhance the campus: Football and lacrosse fields: Baseball stadium: PIMA Obstacle Course: The parade ground, where cadets participate in parades every Friday, and before home football games, a very popular event for the townsfolk! And finally, here is the town's namesake, Gypsy Hill, as well as a closing picture showing a high-level view of the area: Hope you enjoyed this entry, stay tuned for more! - 13

will keep fighting the hordes until we win permanently.

Daveopia City 2.0 Evolved (City Skylines)
Welcome to the third update of my city experience! Daveopia the original city has taken a backseat to my new, beautiful city, built on the knowledge of the original Daveopia. Currently Daveopia 2.0 is roughly at 85K population, a 50 hour work in progress build. I would like to thank the prop makers cause I use a lot of them. Lots of pics from different times in my cities lifetime. Enjoy! Please comment! I want to hear your thoughts on this passion of mine. This is currently where Daveopia 2.0 is in development, roughly 85K. There is a growing central business district, airport and university system. City as a whole is expanding onto roughly 5 squares. View from my newest district in the foreground to the CBD. Aerial of the heart of Daveopia. The large entry loop and the serpent like elevated pedestrian pathway system seem dominate. Picture of the entry loop below. Entry Loop into the city. Far in the background are my satellite dishes, makes for an interesting backdrop. Large overview of the city. University System Love interchanges. Urban area, densely packed. Entertainment district, red light type of night. This might be my most satisfying picture. What your seeing is the culmination of roughly 8-9 bus routes, four metro loops and a network of elevated pedestrian walkways come together. Always busy, thousands of daveopians. Make sure to look at the "vintage" pic of this area in its infancy in the journal later. Airport System. Albeit extremely large for the city but it makes up for the lack of a seaport at the moment. Train. Yasss. Okay, now for a teleport back in time, below are pics from Daveopia 2.0's early stages! Times were easier then. Horse Farm still stands in same spot. One of my favorite shots. Farm Area. More, well, farm. This is the vintage transportation hub pic I was referring to earlier in the journal entry, same hub but very early on in the cities development. This picture reminds me of the 1980's for some reason. First expansion over the river in what will eventually become my most elite residential area. Growing city. I would say city population of 40K at this moment. Prison located far away from civilization, linked with a dirt road. Has its own water system and wind turbine. City Population roughly 45K at this point. Central Business District growing, highways expand out preparing for growth. Large cemetery in foreground. City Population 65K at the point, CBD grew a lot. Satellite stations overlooking Daveopia. ________________ Time for something special. This is my city from literately 2008 called Davidious. Crazy how graphics have changed. Thought some would enjoy. _________________ Hope you liked my city! Till next time. - 3
