Intro to Glove Bay: Downtown

Brickcity

Glove Bay is a prewar medium sized industrial city that has been completely built out within its city limits, this City journal picks up shortly after the conclusion of WWII.

The next few entries will showcase the city as it currently is.

I'm really liking what I see so far! Beautiful old school downtown filled to the brim with brick n mortar high rises surrounded by row homes and factories!! I think you got the whole prewar scene down pact!

Two suggestions I have to make it look better would be to get rid of the UDI icons and the minimize button......

I'm excited to see more of Glove Bay and what it grows into!

I second everything SimEMS38 said.  Very well done, and spot on with the pre-war feel.  I like those black and white pictures.  but also, I hate hate haaaaate UDI icons.  BTW does anyone know a mod to remove UDI? I've looked but with no luck.

Great entry besides that though

Nice downtown area, you did a good job of keeping the build form consistent for the time.

@GoKingsGo You can actually do it with the vanilla game it's just not very obvious. First you have to click on the "My Sims Mode" on the menu options just below the Mayor Mode. Then click on the "U Drive It" icon and finally click on the "Mission Indicators On/Off" button. It's easy to not know about it since I don't think many people use the my sims mode. Heck I actually forgot how to do one time when I took a year long break from the game in the past.

There is a "Hide UDI icon button" in the UDI menu by the way. No mod is needed to turn them off. Just seen takmethere's comment above!

I like where Glove Bay is heading! :)
