I don't know for what I should feel more hyped, the really beautiful rendition of the London Stock Exchange or the most flexible walls this game has seen!

Gaaaaaah! STOOOOP! :O There's just too much awesomeness going on here way too fast. We is going to break tha Interwebz!!1!

Seriously, so much stuff here that it's hard to keep track and leave a comment here or there if you haven't found the time to do so regularly.

So, without further ado:

@scotty222: Great to see you again! That tunnel solution is really nifty, too.

*:kitty: <= I am copycat and I approve of your my new tunnel idea. But seriously, an inspiring post!

@Tyberius06: Whoa, someone has been busy! I think there are some more pedestrian bridges floating around out there on the STEX - maybe these would be a nice addition, too? There was a nice wooden bridge, but it currently escapes me. What I found is this set. Wish I found the other one. It's a rather old upload, too, but it might just work. Maybe I'll find it somewhere in my plugins stash.

@rsc204: That looks spectacular! As far as I am concerned, the signage could be adopted if possible because I happen to like the busy look of the intersection.

@kingofsimcity: Good to see your lotting machine running again. I'm actually surprised how well that three-building blend worked out! If you absolutely wanted, I guess you could find some flat props to cover up the seams on the rooftop, but then again that might not turn out well because the actual LOD may be higher. In any case, you see it because you know where you joined these buildings, but I don't really think it stands out to a neutral observer - and even less to someone who just builds a city and is happy to see a new office park.

@mattb325: The STEX has been lacking your uploads recently, so seeing some progess from you, too, is more than welcome! As to whether it's a promise or a threat, that will depend on the parking lot textures as we know. *:P

@Simmer2: Not much to say other than that this set is looking more and more promising. *:)

@kelistmac: Impressive harbour scene! I like the no-frills layout coupled with the realistic (IMO) building arrangement. Is there a bridge with some more clearance for bigger ships to enter the inner harbour basin, though? Or are the big ships just supposed to remain outside? Speaking of ships, one or two of those could add even more spice to that scene, but you're probably coming to that anyway, aren't you?

@terryalonso: Have I seen a contribution from you already? I don't remember, but what I know is that this is a beautiful night scene - not least thanks to @Diego Del Llano's great BATs, of course!

@Alastairreed: Congrats on your first post, and after looking at those pictures I sure hope it won't by the last by a long margin! *:) I dig that little park square with @Jasoncw's houses and the way you designed the coast, with those cliffs and the sandy lower land in front... just not sure if those big rocks convinve me... I'd expect those in the mountains or at a much more "dramatic" coastline, tbh. Maybe it's also because they don't match your rock texture very closely. A footpath leading down to the beaches would also be great, I think - although this will probably require some more MMPs.

Thank you for sharing this great stuff, everyone! It's a joy to pop into this thread and see what others do. *:thumb:

@Dreadnought : neat idea, using perspective tricks to play around the scale problem ! The whole place looks good and the landscaping, indeed, serves it well.

(the other shoe *;) ) : using poplars on the slope seems strange to me, considering all the more decorative trees you could have used ; the height doesn't mesh well with the rest, for me...

3. Forgot to turn off the grid for this one.

I forgive you *:D. It brings up a recurring thought. It is about Esthetics and Realism.
I think that many pix in the CJs losses a bit in quality with the grid on, with the missions button on, with the yellow pause frame. Some others too.

You see, I come from a very cultural background, and those little details are, well... not pretty enough.

@Edvarz These are some really good pictures, especially the apartment complexes on the first and the wall-to-wall development on the second picture. Pictures these good make me forgive you the grid.

its possible but way too tedious to implement on curves and ramps

It shouldn't be too hard, because the elevated pieces are identical to the ground-based ones. The ground highway is at .75m (not 0), whereas the Elevated or L2 MHO sits at 15m. So just make a copy of each model which is elevated by 14.25m and you can re-use everything.

Say you have a model with the IID "0003####", which is the default format. Copy the 20 S3D models to a new DAT. Re-ID the elevated versions to "1003####", then use Model Tweaker to raise all the models as desired. These will link to the same textures, so you reduce the need for duplicate textures whilst keeping two sets of models.

From any props, simply copy all the prop exemplars, alter the RTK IDs to match the elevated versions (i.e. changing the IID from 0####### to 1#######). You can then use this new set with copies of the lots/T21s made for the Elevated variants. If you keep a consistent set of IDs for said prop exemplars, then making two sets need not be a huge additional workload.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.
