I think this thread is a good idea. It's kind of a niche mixture of "show us your nature" and "show us your detail shots" that i've been waiting for someone to start for a while.

Old pictures of some of my first attempts of making something nice by using only MMP.

Most people would simply ignore or put a cheat to hide any zone that hasn't been developed yet. I used to add MMPs, such as dirt, trees and cars, not only to make those zones more interesting, but also to give a boost to the surrounding buildings and increase the probability of getting those zones developed.

I miss playing Simcity :(

"If you try to please everybody, you often times end up pleasing nobody, especially yourself. When somebody offers to do a favor for free, like making a mod for SimCity 4, you shouldn't be overly critical of something generously given to you. In other words, you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth." - Twilight Sparkle after playing SimCity

"Being a mayor or a content creator for SimCity 4 is a heavy responsibility, Patrick. Each city and each custom content is like a child, and must be treated as such." - SpongeBob Squarepants after playing SimCity

"Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible." - Frank Zappa

"The wisest men follow their own direction." - Euripides

I know I keep banging on about it, but I simply love the Berner Oberland terrain and I think the shots you are showing @Ln X are some of the best shots I've ever seen using it. Sudden Valley is much easier to get right, I'm curious though how you get it looking so dark, I find myself seeing lighter tones of green. Perhaps you have a different gamma setup on you videocard, I know my picture altered a lot when switching from an ATI to my NVidia. But wow, some seriously stunning natural beauty buddy :).

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

I use GIMP to increase contrast, or decrease saturation or increase clarity (brighter, sharper colours combined with desaturation). This is making the Berner Oberland terrain look a bit more like its darker green counterpart- Sudden Valley. Also Berner Oberland looks best when there are hills and high elevations...

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Very nicely done Abrams124! And Thin White Duke, watch out for MMP tiling, sadly MMPs won't go on road tiles. Other than that the MMP work looks great.
