UPDATE: new cliff texture that matches orange rock better. An orange and white sandstone desert mod, loosely based onthe Colorado Plateau area of the southwestern US. This mod changes the ground textures of undeveloped areas of your city to give it a southwestern US look. Lower elevations are orange sandstone or orange dirt/gravel, with areas of sagebrush or other sparse vegetation. Higher up is a band of white rock/dirt/clay, (also with sparse vegetation in some areas.) As the elevation increases above the band of white rock/dirt/clay, the terrain becomes more densely covered with sagebrush, and then, above the sagebrush, green and grassy. On very high mountains, you will find flowering alpine meadows, rock outcroppings, scree slopes, and snowy ravines. So really, you get a lot of variety with this mod if your terrain has a lot of variation in elevation. This mod is not compatible with other terrain mods, (such as the Snowcapped terrain mod, the Desert mod, the Columbus mod, the Missouri Breaks mod, the Olympic mod, the Moab mod, etc) but it is compatible with custom beach textures, custom water textures and custom cliff textures (such as Peg's cliff mods). CRASH ALERT!: You must have both of the following files installed when using this mod or the game will crash to the desktop when you try to open a city. CPT_No3_TerrainTextures.dat CPT_No4_TerrainTextures.dat Please read the readme for other important information.
  2. Hi, it's been a while since I've posted on these forums (15+ years?). The new dll mods look amazing, especially the camera and growify mods. But, I can't seem to get them to work. I'm pretty sure the .dlls aren't loading at all. The Buggi cheats and SC4Fix load and work fine, but the camera mod, SC4Growify, SC4Autosave, SC4DisableDemolitionAnimation, SC4DisableLotPlopSmoke don't do anything and don't write log files, which I'm guessing means they aren't loading. Does anyone know if there is something I could be overlooking, or is there a reason why SC4Fix and the Buggi cheats load but the other ones don't? My SimCity version is 1.1.641.0 (from GOG). I'm running a pretty standard, ordinary Windows 10 machine. All .dll files are in the install plugins (C:\Maxis\Plugins\ in my case). I'm normally using dxwrapper, but I removed it and all other .dlls, so there were no other .dlls in either of my plugins or Apps folders which could conflict with these files, and it made no difference. Anyway, keep up the great work. It's looking like the game is really evolving.
  3. Trouble Loading DLLs

Awesome, thanks! I'll give that a try this weekend. EDIT: just to confirm: this was in fact the issue. With the Visual C++ redistributable installed, everything is working great. Thanks again, Null 45!
  4. Moab Map

    Version 1.0

Site of the city of Moab, Utah, and Arches National Park (USA). Region size: 34km x 36km (config.bmp included). THIS IS AN SC4TERRAFORMER FILE. You will need SC4Terraformer to import this terrain into SimCity. A "HiFi" map with a winding river (the Colorado River), lots of canyons, mesas, cliffs and other landforms. The picture shows the region as it looks with the Painted Desert terrain mod. You don't have to use any terrain mods with this map if you don't want to. To install this region: 1. If you don't already have SC4Terraformer, download it here and follow the install instructions. 2. Unzip this file. 3. Move the "Moab" folder and its contents to your "My Documents\Simcity4\Regions" folder. 4. Run SC4Terraformer and select the "Moab" region. 5. In "Global Tools", select "Import Image" 6. Navigate to the "My Documents\Simcity4\Regions\Moab" folder and choose "Moab.SC4M" 7. Save and Exit SC4Terraformer 8. Run SimCity and load the Moab region. The region will be in the SC4Terraformer colors at first. As you open and save each city, the colors return to normal.

  6. FA3 928 S Broadway

Wow, that looks great. There are seemingly endless FAR/diagonal corner/curve combinations, so any new buildings to fill those spaces are really appreciated!
  7. United Labor Centre

Very nice! This looks like a building that could be repeated over and over (in SimCity fashion) and still look OK.
  8. AGC - Generic War Sailing Ship (Port Version)

EDIT: This file now includes an installer, written by Andreas Roth, and a choice of 3 snowcapped versions, by jeronij. Thanks Andreas and jeronij! Please remove all "terrainparameters" files from your plugins folder before running the installer. These are old terrain mod files. Do not download these if you already have the Columbus Terrain mod, aka Cycledogg terrain mod, aka Cyclepuppy terrain mod. These are the same files. The zip file consists of the two files of terrain textures necessary for jeronij's snow covered mod. (But as mentioned, if you have the Columbus mod, you already have these files). Note: this is all still beta stuff. These terrain textures will likely become obsolete in the future.
