Hello Seiji, welcome to Simtropolis!

Simtropolis is really diverse; we have people from all corners of the globe, from China, to Europe, to South America. ST has a lot of Brazillians that are active in the community; I suggest going to the chat or checking around the forums.

SimCity is one of those games where people generally don't expect playing with (personal experience; COD people outnumber SimCity people here 1900 to 2 ) but it gets really interesting once you immerse yourself in the game.

Hi Everyone. My name is Feeroz. I am from Bangalore, India. I am 27 yrs old and a Software Tester by profession.

I have big interest in Sim City game and have been playing Sim City 4 Deluxe Edition (Rush Hour) from few months. I have installed NAM mod already.

 

But I am still a beginner in understanding and applying/installing various mods found in Simtropolis. I would like to learn about the various concepts, terms and methods in installing (and may be creating) mods. Looking for a mentor to answer my questions and help to understand things.

If you want some custom content for SimCity 4, look up the STEX. It has over 17,000 files of BATs, mods, props, and textures for you to download. Be sure to download the NAM for traffic bug fixes and additional transit features! Have a nice day!

My name is Jack and i am from Allentown, Pennsylvania. I am about 45 minutes from Philadelphia. I am 13 years old and i am currently a Youtube Partner. In a few months i will work at an Amusement park. I am Italian and German. I am currently enrolled in a Catholic school and i am in 8th grade. I want to run my own restaurant. I have been into City Building games, since i got SimCity 4 as a gift when i was 7. In 2010, i got The Sims 3 and Cities XL. I love simulation games as well. my favorite Non City building Simulation is Universe Sandbox. My hobbies include Gaming, Racing go karts, Making youtube videos, Airsoft, Baseball, and Martial Arts. Hi, I'm Jeff Fisher. I'm taking a break from RR Tycoon 2 by finally spinning the Sim City "Box" that I bought a couple years ago. I suspect that after "playing around" for a while, I'll be drawn into modding and take to it like a fish to water. At least, that's what my experience with past games suggests.

 

Consider RR Tycoon: My desire to "make the game right" dragged me into editing the EXE file using a hex editor. I did things like decrypting the industry model data table so I could fiddle with its hex codes to make military industries function in time for the Civil War in my US History scenario/map.

 

And the US History scenario? Most of the maps that came with the game had only 20 or so events, just enough set goals for three levels of victory and throw one or two curves at the player(s). My US History has about 450 events that drag the player (i.e. student) through every president, every war, every territorial expansion, most economic crashes, and many labor/business/tax policy changes that could affect a railroad from the end of the Monroe administration to the present day. I also threw in a chain of technology/modernization options.

 

If there are any part-time RR Tycoon players here (or anyone who wants to trick a niece or nephew into learning some history via vicarious experience), you may find my work at The Terminal.

Hi!  I'm Tony.  I'm an Account Payable Manager at a metal refinery in Tennessee, but I go to school part time studying Computer Science.

 

I realize the rest of the world is discovering SimCity 2013 right now, but I just downloaded SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition about four months ago and I can't put it down, which is playing havoc with my social life and school schedule.  Let's all just take a moment and pray I don't get fired from my job.

My name is Cole, I'm just about 20...almost there, just 12 days left  ! I'm working on college right now and getting prepared so I can transfer to Texas A&M. I'm wanting to study land and property development so I can work for a land developer. I'm aiming to work as a project manager for new master planned communities.The planning side of the industry does interest me as well. In the mean time, I work in Disability Services at my college as an Assistive Technology Specialist. I help disabled students get the learning accomodations that they need and make sure they are able to maximize their independence. I've been a general sim fan for a long time; I love the sims and I took a liking to previous sim city games. Sim City 4 stole my heart though and now I'm on here

I'm Sum Ting Wong. I'm trying to build a massive region with a population of 5 million people as my goal. I just started playing this game a couple of weeks ago and boy is it fun! Having the power to design what is effectively my own society is an addictive thing I must admit. I would also like to share pictures of my city with others as well as exchange ideas and information. I don't need the city with the most people, rather I want realistic cities that would actually be livable in the real world.

My name is Anthony, I've been playing SC4 since its release, SC3 since its release, SC2000 almost since its release and I still have my old Simcity on floppy disks.

 

I'm registered here since 2007 but I never participated in the forums. I got so enraged with what SC2013 became that I started playing SC3 and SC4 again. Last weeks I took more interest in custom bats and I started installing some.

 

The community here seems to be nice and active... and some of your creations are truly awesome.
