Hello! My name is Sam and I come from the RollerCoaster Tycoon forums. I used to play SimCity 4 all the time, but I couldn't play it after I got my new computer. I'm excited to get the next SimCity, because the graphics appear to be very detailed and realistic.

Hello, I'm Mitch, and I'm new to Cities XL. I've played SimCity from 2000 to 4, but have since decided to move on to Cities XL, since it seems to have supplanted the SimCity franchise by this point. I'd be interested in helping to mod the UI, if any such projects are available.

Sim City the first game that really grabbed me back in the day on the Olde Amiga 500 !

I have followed the series ever since must admit stopped playing Sim City 4 some five years ago.
Played a bit of Cities XL 2011 (It was ok but did it was not Sim City)

Hope the new re boot is good fun to play…now
if someone could reboot Transport Tycoon

  My name is Jake, registered a while back but havent had time to properly go thru all the procedures that the website suggests, so if u need updated info its on my profile. I am a former, animation digital effects major, and just recently am working to finish a masters in sculpture and fine art. Always loved the sim city franchise and unloading hours into the cities i build. I discovered the whole addon/plugins scene a few years back but never really got into it mostly due to how much time animation made me spend in front of a computer lol. Anyway i recently got out of wow and other online time wasters and installed sim city on my little monster. After playing for a few months and seeing what amazing cities ppl have created i decided to register w this site and multile others to get more informed. Never realized SC4 would become this big as far as modifications and truly incredible city creations. Great to be a part of the site and the SC4 community thx for having me, i have a few additional questions that  i spent many hours searching and couldn't find on the site, and i don't wanna spam them here. Also i don't know how often members respond for such an old version of simcity considering the new one is right around the corner. If anyone wants to pm me and point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Again its a privilege to be part of Simtropolis, i look foward to great times here. Found my copy of SimCity 4 while on my computer game buying spree while I was younger. Found this site while looking for mods. Love the game; gave me the to-be-unfulfilled desire to be a civil engineer.

Hello, I am Papperonni, I have played Sim City since I was 8 years old (I'm 18 now). The first game I ever got was Sim City 2000! I then moved up to Sim City 3000, and finally found Sim City 4. As it has been a long time since SC4 has come out, and after 100s of hours of play, I don't play as much anymore, but still like to participate in community discussions, especially those on other forums, such as the Cities in Motion Exchange. I look forward to finding interesting topics, discussions, and mods on Simtropolis. I've certainly used it before, but now, I'd like to formally introduce myself. 

 

I play tons of games other than Sim City, including a number of Simulations, such as Cities in Motion, (and soon to be CiM2), Tropico, and many others, such as Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, and others. 

 

I've lived in Warsaw, Budapest, New York (manhattan), Lisbon, Washington DC, and Mexico City, so my taste in various city scapes is very large, and with so many experiences, the mods on Simtropolis can help me fulfill my wildest SimCity aspirations.

I've been wanting that newest SimCity game. But I don't have the money to buy it, nor to pre-order it sadly.

I'm Robert Oortwijn. I live in the Netherlands and played Simcity for the first time on the Playstation. Then when my parents finally got a PC I played Simcity 3000 and later Simcity 4. Those where the only games I was able to play on that brick PC lol.

 

And now it's 2013 with Simcity coming out next week Can't wait!

Hi folks! My name is Julie and I just recently joined the site. Looks like Simtropolis is the most vibrant community site out there for the SimCity series. Good to see it's so active even though SC4 was released 10 years ago!

 

I'm super-excited for the new SimCity's release, so I've been lurking on forums and watching videos (as well as Let's All Be Mayor) for the last week. Each day that passes seems to take forever, but we're nearly there!

I'm not really 'new', but I haven't been here in a long time and forgot what my account was. This place sure has grown since then! The fact that the SC4 modding community is still this active is fantastic...makes me want to learn how (I can do some intermediate 3D modeling but that's it)
