I guess I never formally introduced myself. My name is Keegan; I'm 15 and I've been playing Sim City 4 since last summer. I'm not really a "gamer" and before this, I really only played Pokemon for DS. Since I've always been interested in making maps of fictional cities and looking at maps of real cities, this game was right up my alley.

 

Though I've download plenty of mods, I'm not much of an experimenter and most of what I've built so far has been pretty conventional. But I'm always interested in new ideas and that's why I decided to post on the forums  

 

And I just can't seem to get into the new games...Sim City 4 is going to be my favorite for a while, I think.

Don't worry, I'm not so much of a gamer too.  I only got into SimCity 4 and city builders because it did provide me that there are games out there that give me the option to express myself, not to be shot or punched or be ridiculed by other people. I think for the mods, you need to try out at least some styles, but there's a lot you can try, so it is ultimately in your hands to try it out

Hello everyone!

 

My name is Patrick and i'm from Denmark.

I actually don't play SimCity any longer because i didn't found their latest game much interesting. I played like 58 hours according to Origin.

But what i do play is Cities Skylines which i bought the day it came out and i really love it. It's everything that SimCity failed to be. 

The game have only been out for about a month and i already played 200 hours, and i still think it's so freaking cool!

I found this forum because i was looking at Lets play videos on YouTube and then pressed some links, and suddenly i was all caught up in the Journal forum. I think it's really funny and interesting to see how other people build their cities because their is so many opportunities.

 

Besides this game i don't really play that many games. Except for one! I have been playing Football Manager for around all the time back i can remember, and it's the only game i'm really obsessed with... Maybe Cities Skylines is going to be the next one!

 

I hope i can start a Journal someday in here, but right now i just experiment with my cities, because i'm not that good jet to get traffic flowing in a big city, and i'm not the most creative person in the world, so i will be stealing some ideas from some of your guys!

 

I hope to enjoy my time in here!

Hello,Hello!I am not new to Simtropolis and I have been around longer though,I was using my google account back in 2011 before creating this one.I was born in Paris but I am originally from Russia.I do not speak or read in French due to me leaving at a very young age but now I'm back in Paris learning the language once more.I ironically can't read nor write in Russian because I..again left the country right after a couple of years after leaving France to Murica but I can still speak Ruski.I have been playing Simcity 4 (yeah 4,4!) since 2009 and I have played Simcity (2013) but have lost interest in it quickly due to the lack of mods and only play it periodically.That's all for my presentation.

Dont remember if i already gave myself up. Joined simtropolis in 2003, age is now almost 32, i have 2 kids and for the work part: trucker, forklift driver, wheel loader driver, foreman and so on. hi! I'm Mimi aka Fearless Mayor from Florida, USA. I discovered Simtropolis when I was searching for downloadable regions for my Sim city 4.  I've been playing SimCity since Sim City 2000 in 7th grade -- I still remember zoning yellow, green, and blue only to be stumped as to why my city is not growing!! I followed some tutorials and finally got my city to grow (I was missing a power plant and power lines!!). It's been a good 15 years since then and I've become a huge sim city fan.  I bought and played Sim City 3000, Sim City 4 Deluxe, and will be getting either Cites: Skylines or Sim City 5 (2013) soon.  Haven't had a lot of time to play as I've been working 50-60 hours a week post-college but I'm home right now.  I have a Chrons-like disease and am also studying.  In my free time, which I have a little more of now, I've playing a new "world" -- it's a continent with a major port, islands, mountains, and all kinds of exciting terrains to experiment building on and 4 regions (see more info in my profile). I've read a couple of city journals on Simtropolis and you guys are really talented and creative! I really want to start a city journal and share my cities with you all and hope that you like them! I'm a storyteller and enjoy telling stories with my cities! So, yeah, that's it for now and I'm a little overwhelmed but so excited to be here and share cities and mods and ideas.

I'm Lubomira aka Nepatan (Nepa) and I come from Bulgaria. I discovered Simtropolis while searching for interesting stuff and guides about Sim City 2013. I am new to city building games, but I think I learn quickly. I like strategy games and I wanted to try some city building games. So far I have Cities Skylines and Sim City 4 beside Sim City 2013. Now I am working on 2 Sim City 2013 projects and that's why I have no time for the other games yet. But it will come. 

My occupation is office manager in the little family buisiness of my father. I play games for fun and relaxing.

I hope my english is understandable. I read in english, have my diveces with an english Operation System and with english language options and watch TV-Series and films in english, but it is a while that I wrote in english. And... I talk too much, so I leave it here

Yeah, thanks, I'm trying my best.  Sure. I haven't heard that they bite  
I'm testing some mods right now, I hope than I can continiue working on them and show you guys, what I've planned.

Now, I will go and test Akar with some other mods. See ya!
