Hi guys.

 

So, I got back into SC4 after a lot of time. However, this time I am motivated by adding of mods to improve the city/region building. I have been building for the last couple of months when I could, getting to understand the NAM features and other mods on the go. Hence, i have been browsing the forums here and at SC4devotion to get some suggestions. So, I finally felt its time I become a member here to discuss it as I build my new region.

I'm registered here since 2007 but I never participated in the forums. I got so enraged with what SC2013 became that I started playing SC3 and SC4 again. Last weeks I took more interest in custom bats and I started installing some.   The community here seems to be nice and active... and some of your creations are truly awesome.

We're glad to have you aboard, and from what you've already accomplished in your BAT thread I'm sure you will have some truly awesome creations of your own in no time

Hi all, i'm His_Noodly_Appendage, or HNA for short. I've been a member here for 8 years now, but get this: I've never posted. Yes, I do feel the shame of this, but back then I wanted shiny things to add to my SC4, and this is where I found them. I just wasn't a forum guy then, nor do I remember ever seeing the forum. This has been rectified. I even tried making BATs back then, but failed miserably.

 

I haven't played SC4 in a very long while, probably somewhere around 6 years, then last year bought it on special offer on Steam, as my disc of Rush Hour disappeared, and the individual disc was more than the pack.

 

So, I didn't install it, working my way through other games, other city builders, and RTS and Tycoon games*, but nothing has ever come close to how SC4 made me feel, that sense of purpose, then satisfaction as you see your city growing, not to mention the sense of loss when a city suddenly makes a turn for the worse.

 

While waiting for Banished to arrive (less than 24 hours!), I began watching haljackey create a city from scratch on Youtube, and it hit me, that pressing need to put myself in the City Hall once again. Soon I shall do so, but i'll need to unhook myself from tomorrow's purchase first.

 

So after all this, i'll just say a simple "Hello".

Yep, SimCity 4 is still alive an packing a punch even with the release of the failed SimCity 2013 which many here have pegged as "Sim Village" due to the overwhelmingly small size of the cities that you're allowed to create lol

55 y.o guy from Kent, UK here, into all games, but mostly SC4, as I have a lot of spare time (Heart bypass) !!

Only just started with the Deluxe version of SC4, (have never been able to find it !!! ) but have had the vanilla version since it first came out, but I've got to admit, I'm a bit overwhelmed by the Deluxe version, especially the NAM .......I guess I'll have to re-learn all over again, and try to drop all the bad habits I picked up  using the vanilla!! 

 

I got a pretty twisted sense of humour,but I'm not dangerous..... honest. Nice to meet you all !

Hi Everyone,

I have been a Simtropolis member since December 2011, however I only started to become an active member five days ago. I use to only use Simtropolis for downloading SimCity 4 files from the ST/Exchange, however I have stopped downloading for the time being as my computer is currently clogged   In 2009, I started to play SimCity 4 for the first time. 

I'm looking forward to contributing to this great website more often.

Just bought SC4 (after browsing the net and the negative feedback on SC2013).  My last experience with SimCity and similar software was SC2000, Sim Theme Park, and Roller Coaster Tycoon (3 I think).

 

I'm a civil engineer by trade, but I mostly work in earthquake engineering.  Games are as much as I want to deal with city planning.  Anyway, I just downloaded SC4 from Amazon and plan on installing some of the essential Mods and so forth listed in your forums pinned pages.  I really look forward to the regional aspect and custom maps.  THis looks like a great site, and I hope to have fun with it and the game.

Well ...you may call me Larry since my first name Richman(from which I got Richie) is too strange a name as far as am concerned.Am an 18 yr old rapidly approaching 19 and just enjoying the period between finishing high school and entering university.Am a pure Ghanaian who almost got born in South Africa but it didn't happen.Born and bred in Ghana and being nowhere else except Togo.I love documentaries on cities,crazy about stuff like mega seaports and airports,history of civilizations and how developed nations actually arrived at that status.Academically,am into science and hope to offer Computer Engineering.

Before getting sim city 4,I read a lot about it so in just four months of playing,my progress has been too fast for me...haha

Am even now considering lotted cities.

Well...that's about that.When I get a new PC and start browsing on it,I hope to be more active here and make lots of friends.

Hello, 

Started with the original SimCity many many years ago.....got to the point of everyone taking off to another planet...and got bored....And now I'm back trying out the new version of SC4.  Very nice job!

I'm 54 married to a lovely lady - living in Charlotte, NC after a 12,000 mile trip after leaving Clearwater, FL and going all over (northern California, Oregon, Washington, Vancouver Island, Montana, Idaho etc etc... and ended up here.  Lovely place with a good mix of what we were looking for (except the politics...but that's bad everywhere!).

I found this site after trying to found out how these 'mods' etc...work to enhance the experience of having multiple large screens and a good fast Mac to play the game on.  This is quite fun so far....fast moving and much better than the original - it's progressed quite nicely.

I'm currently 18 years old, living in Yogyakarta, born and raised in Malang. Both of them are main Educational city in Indonesia. And  I just discovered the game of SC4 and Simtropolis 2 years ago....

 

I love rallying, the kind of Motorsport I gotten into. Thus, I love WRC, World Rally Championship, the team that is and was competing in the sport, and the drivers that race each other in the sport
