Well, you are in the same situation as me... My friends are not interested in Sim Games because they are all COD people XD (although I do know that a couple of my friends play the Sims, that's about it). Also I do wish to play with you on SimCity, but Origin is just a no for me.

Hi all, my name is Lucas. Didn't even remember I had an account here until I tried to register Absolutely love city-builders, and a few other types of game as well. Played Sim City since 3000, don't have the money (or the desire now that I've read about it's problems) to get the new game at this point so I dusted off SC4 and reinstalled it instead...and realized that not playing for a number of years has left me with almost no idea what I'm doing anymore

 

I suspect a few cities will fall into ruin before I get the hang of it again. Then it will be time to start adding some of the cool content from here and maybe playing with the lot editor

Hey everyone. I first got into SimCity with SC4, I think back in 2009 or 2008. I've played and enjoyed it, and preordered SimCity five 2013 when it came out. I like trains and birds. That's about it.

My name's Andres but everybody calls me Andy for short. I'm a huge Simcity fan and ive played Simcity 4, cities XL and almost all the sim games made by Maxis. I live in the US in buffalo and i find the simcity game very interesting. Ive been looking for the simtropolis forums for sometime to interact with other simcity players and people who like city building games. I'm a huge railfanner i photograph trains and mass transit, i'm kind of a history buff. So thats about it.....i hope to meet alot of fellow simcity players and learn more about the game.

SimCity is the first game I buy from origin, and I take SimCity 4 as a Free game EA offer.

So I join simtropolis for searching information for each game.

I do think that is a right name, but "Eksu (silent "u") eru" is also another, more common graphical translation. On the other hand, try SimCity 4, it's a great game you'll discover the full potential of the game here at Simtropolis! The other game, well...

Hi all, i'm 45, a mechanic (no, i don't know why your car sounds like [insert noise here]) and live in Se Wisconsin. Played SC4 a long time ago and came back to it.
My intrest in mods are:
1) bug fixes
2) Improvements in playabiliity, game mechanics, and visuals (ever seen a train climb a 45 degree slope?)
3) Scale, I don't like cartoonishly out of scale items (I know, it's just a game but still).
What I am not interested in:
1) Cheats (unlimited simoleans, etc).

@DeMon3825 - There are a lot of Mods here on ST, which can be found on the STEX. You might as well check out the Network Addon Mod, which is one of the most popular mods in the community! There are also scaled items here at the STEX, some of them with textures from real buildings.

Hey all!

 

I used to spend so much time at Simtropolis in the olden days, mostly making UK style Georgian town houses or Victorian terraces in 3D max rather than playing the games! Now I cannot either remember my old account details or the account has been deleted. Seeing as it's been well over 7 years since I last logged on, I'm guessing deleted.    It seems this time the UK building set will be included if I buy the correct edition, so maybe I can spend more time building cities and less time trying to make the buildings that I want to have in my cities!

 

But I'm off to buy the new Sim City today. I've heard about the server issues, but I'm still very excited. I've tried to not read up too much about the game in the run up to its release so that I won't be too hyped and will just be happy instead.

I've been playing sim city games ever since the SNES version. I usually don't buy them myself since my brother usually always buys  them. I'll wait and play his copies.

 

I did buy my own copy of the new SC2013 version. It's too bad that's gone so swimmingly. lol. Though if it weren't for the super fail launch, then maybe i wouldn't be sitting here with a free copy of SC4D. teehee... Silver linings and all that jazz.

 

my other gaming tastes include: Guild Wars 2 (graceangel.3618 there), Harvest Moon games, Animal Crossing games, The Sims (any number is fine though my recent was 3 + night life & ambitions exp's), and an army of FB games.

I also enjoy reading. Am a huge fan of ASOIAF, stephanie plum novels, and sookie stackhouse stories.

Hello everyone!

I'm new here and trying to learn as much as I can about the game. I want to learn more about LUA script and custom UI so I can modify the game the way I want it. Luckily there are many buildings and lot I don't have to make myself, I just have to download everything I need.

"fictitiously"? in the books, that's his name. Joe  Morelli. He's my favorite. They're always pinning her up between Joe and Ranger. There's like some 18 books.

basically... if you're a fan of hte books.. the ultimate question is "babe" or "cupcake". I vote for cupcake. Ya. the movie was ok. I had other ideas as to who  would make better castings for certain roles, but... I don't work for hollywood.
