I guess breaking silence now and then would be nice, here's something I'm working on: A shiny overhaul of Hdorriker's Modular Homes Set. (And something that more suits my CJing needs :P) 47380ae760.png

Nice work, but I'm not sure about the railroads in your city. So many level crossings in such a dense city seems a bit odd. Maybe you could try rail viaducts? :)

Exciting! More towers!

Your Towers of Steel Project has always piqued my interest - especially since it helps remedy the noticeable lack many of lattice tower BATs. I haven't had a chance to use any of the ones I've downloaded yet since I haven't developed a mountainous rural tile in a while, but I'm sure they'll look great when I get around to using them.

Thanks! :D
I've been meaning to release a whole bunch of them but I'm still trying to figure out how to get them properly rendered through 3ds max since its much more suitable than gmax for rendering structures that have fine lines(or really anything for that matter). Problem is I don't have a lot of patience dealing with and trying to figure out the technical stuff like why a program isn't working right. Waiting to hearing back from a few people who've offered to help in the past, though its been a while now... :(  Mmight just have to go ahead and release some of the gmax versions in the mean time.

Don't know if i am happy with a tunnel here. Some suggestions related to how to do a bridge (with this kind of plopabble water)?

I would also like a suggestion on bridge problem in this photo (i have a concept to work with but i am not sure if it will be good)

Hmm something does seem a little off with that tunnel. I think using a tunnel there is fine but maybe the entrances should be future apart? Or maybe you can use some sort of concrete cover right up to the river edge. Here's an example of what I mean regarding the concrete cover over the top of the tunnel;
fWC9hlh.png

As for the bridge, I would recommend using ploppable bridge in that situation such as this for example;

Any chance you could tell me where can I get these fences? Looking for something for my highways so the wild animals dont run wild on the road :D

Nothing special: just a small village under construction :D

I especially like the rolling hills it is being built on.

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

Or maybe tunnels and sunken train stations @MushyMushy. I've experimented with that, and made centre-crossing train a lot more palatable and realistic, even than viaducts. You don't even need NAM to do it.

Quite good work on the slopes and good selection of buildings.

A question: There's a grey building in the center at the short diagonal SAM 7 route, a orthogonal-diagonal W2W building. Do you have the link where to download it?

This is probably my first serious attempt to create a suburb that is actually aesthetically pleasing.

5yc9rk.png

Right now it still looks fairly repetitive and Maxis-y; I am now looking into finding more trees to replace some Norway Maples as well as new BAT houses.

For houses, check the residential stuff by mattb325 (on the SC4D LEX). Very good for suburbs. A street side mod also does wonders. I use the SFBT Street Side Mod. I also use the SFBT Tree Replacement Mod, it changes the trees on lots to the ones used in the Street Side Mod.

Last weeks I worked on an city I imported into a bigger map. Adjusted the Highway and made all highways to RHW. Also added trams.
Still so much space left. This city is mainly for Residents for the bordering Industry and Banking cities.
Sadly I made the big mistake last weekend to put a beach on the shore and destroying it. Now the PP is real. :(
I might rebuild it later again, but for now I'll do the save/load to have all the Props.

Has it ever been mentioned that Photoshop and SC4 work very well together?

lj6DC6t.jpg

I'm working on a PS overhaul of part of the beachfront in one of my cities. This image is cropped from a larger project that I'm working on for a super-secret thing. Shadows were turned off in the screenshots used for the mosaic due to the fact that was going to add several things that weren't there (I'll add shadows in manually). The front road that runs along the beach was originally a NRD-4 (1 tile 4 lane road), and there was not actually a slope next to it. I dragged copied the background and dragged the beach down to make it look like the city was higher than the beach. I still need to add the beach parking lot, some more retainer wall pieces, cars, street life, billboards, custom traffic lights, palm trees, etc...

There are several other interesting things to be altered in the original picture that aren't shown here since I cropped it. I mostly just posted this because I was having fun with the roads and thought it was worth showing. Betcha can't Photoshop stuff like that in C:S since it's not isometric :P. I jest, I don't have anything against C:S, I think it's pretty cool. SC4 is just easier to heavily modify with photoediting software.

Here's the same general area of the original mosaic:

VB97Oc1.jpg

It was designed to be edited in PS from the start. That's why the original looks hideous.

It's a very cool effect, but annoying all the same, I really wanted the retaining wall with the road branching off and lowering towards the beach, which of course doesn't exist :(.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

Wow. That looks like pure glory to the eyes. Can I ask, what station are you using in the upper half of the image? Thanks. Great work!

Amazing Pictures everyone.

Xander Dax , that`s some weird and interesting looking Zoning you have there.

City Master , wow, what a beautiful Region you`re using with Hills, Mountains and Flat Land.

Timmie , cool looking inner City Area.It has a certain European Feeling.

I also continued working on my NYC Region and i`m currently tinkering with the East Midtown Area, especially the Area between the UN Headquarters and the Ed Koch Queenborough Bridge.

I also still have some trouble and insecurities about Roosevelt Island...but see for yourself:

Any Ideas or Suggestions for making Things better?

That's one good looking city. I wish the texture of the bridge and the highway are the same though.
