I think SC4 Tool have the built-in feature to display maxis building stats, but I've never been able to use it without crashing the program. A good alternative would be to use PIM-X, which is very simple to use. Put the model file you want the stats in your plugins root folder (no sub folder) and launch the program; be sure to tick off the 2 first boxes and leave the 3rd on (otherwise PIM-X will scan your simcity dat files too, might take a while and you'll have a long list where to find your model). Then you'll see the building in the right pane; drag-drop it in the tree menu you see on your left to the desired category (R, CS, CO, I, low wealth etc.). This will create a desc file containing a building exemplar that will provide all data you need. One more thing to do is to right click in the right bottom part of the pane (where the stats of the BAT are displayed) and choose Recompute properties as X (X being the type of building you chose). Here you have to enter a decimal number which is your estimate of how much the building is filling the yellow framed box (the LOD box, displayed at the bottom left of the PIM X). By default the value is 0.5, which translates as 50 % filling. A higher filling degree will give greater capacity satisfied values, pollution values etc. Once you chose the appropriate filling degree, press save button at the bottom so the desc file will get updated. There is but it's tedious: in the lot config exemplar, spot the lotconfigproperty starting by 0x00000000 and select edit property; the last rep will give you the instance of the building exemplar.

Even easier, reader can do it for you. Open the Lot Config exemplar and remove all LotConfigPropertyLotObject entries starting by 0x00000007: those represents the transit enabled tiles. Once done, right click on the pane and Reindex Lot Config then save. From there you should be able to edit the lot to your will. Good luck my friend- 79 Replies

I've downloaded the file again, just to be sure I had the last version. Here are the stats for the growable buildings as you provide them: CS$$ growth stage 1; Capacity satisfied C$ 3 C$$ 100 R$$$ growth stage 1; Capacity satisfied R$ 60 R$$ 60 R$$$ 60 Here the stats given by PIM-X, for an estimated filling degree of 0.6: CS$$ growth stage 7; Capacity satisfied C$ 376 C$$ 96 R$$$ growth stage 6; Capacity satisfied R$ 303 R$$ 169 R$$$ 75 Do you see the significant differences between the 2? Of course the pollution values air/water/garbage are also off. My criticism about poor modding still stands, sorry. That said, the BAT is top notch, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered to write this. Anyway this is your file, so make of that what you will. If you take the time to adapt the stats accordingly, it will be my pleasure to change the rating and give you a well deserved 5 stars.- 35 Comments

Hello everyone. I'm looking for a specific tennis court I saw in a CJ some time ago (unfortunately I can't find the picture anymore). The court was green colored, like green pastel. IIRC there were no terraces, just the court itself. I've searched the most known exchanges for it but couldn't find it... ANy help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I gave a shot to your RKT0 idea, it has a lot of advantages but is it possible to make the model use a lot texture TID instead of a transit TID and if so, what do you have to do to make it happen? Transit textures are reserved for NAM, afaik we're not allowed to have a transit ID range.

To change a building into a prop, put the SC4Model file(s) in your plugins root and use PIM / PIM-X Drag the model to the type of prop you wish to have (for your purpose you'll probably want building as prop) Once you dropped model in desired category, PIM-X will create a prop exemplar that will allow you to select the building as a prop. To be sure that your prop will show in the lot editor list, open a lot that is wide and deep enough so the building fully sits in the lot bounds.

Your cities are stored in the Regions folder, just open it and you'll see your cities filesaves. However I doubt nuking and reimporting the city will solve the problem. You have to open the filesave with follow instructions given in

Very strange, I've never seen anything like this but hey, we all know how buggy this game can be at times... If your game is running fine apart from this I doubt it's related to your computer or graphic card, but maybe someone knows better. Have you installed new plugins just before the bug happened? Are you using the Region Census mod by Sabertooth? There's a possibility of recovering it, but it require the use of reader, a program used to read sc4 files. Since you're not on the tech side I won't spend time explain you how to do it but I can give it a shot for ya. Send PM if you want. To backup your region: the folder of your region should be located under C:\Users\???\Documents\SimCity 4\Regions. Simply copy/paste the folder like you would do for any other file to create a backup.

That's a nice project you have here, and the feature list is pretty impressive. Admittedly those which interests me most are the 4 last in your list (those which require the database) but at some point all of them can be useful ... I already like your buddy Considering the amount of plugins available, crowdsourcing is the way to go indeed. Would take too long otherwise. I'm sure a lot of players will offer to help expand your database as soon as they realize the benefit of doing so. Suggestions: -only members of SC4 boards (Simtropolis + SC4Devotion maybe? Lot of good people there too) are allowed to add / edit entries. -edited and added entries preferably signed by the member who edited/added it. -keep a backup of the last good known version of your database in case SHTF Do you already know at this point which format/nomenclature will be required for the db string entries? About your UI I don't have much to say. It's simple and nice to read, which is the way I like UI. For your langage problems, have you tried Portgese and Norwgian? Might worth a shot -
