Remember that you can use Ctrl+F to search through your current page. 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 -Jasoncw Making Ploppable Residential Buildings I'm getting back into the game and the community after a few years, and I've started working on a region that I eventually hope to showcase. I've recently downloaded Marcszar's Baltimore Rowhouses, and I'm finding that they are very difficult to grow and keep around in areas large enough to make realistic rowhouse neighborhoods. I want to make a mod that allows me to plop these buildings as well as grow them. Before anyone says anything, I know that there are issues with creating and caring for ploppable residential lots. However, I have three of them that I've managed to keep going for at least five game years in testing, so I feel that my cities have the demand and employment base to support them. One of these is Andisart's One21 Apartment Tower, the other is Skyscraper's The Palm Building, which seems to be perfectly fine even if plopped on bare, unzoned land and left to its own devices. I tried to clone the One21 Tower and edit the exemplar files so that they match those of the rowhouses, but after saving it and opening it in Lot Editor, I find that I cannot replace the building with one of Marcszar's rowhouses. Even though I have the rowhouses installed, the buildings just aren't in the menu. I've downloaded and explored the PIM from SC4Devotion, but (of course) there's no option to create ploppable residential structures. Will I have to make these first as landmarks and then insert the residential capabilities via Ilives' Reader? What's the best method to go about doing this?- 200 Replies

It's a 1x2 tile building. But I cannot place it correctly on the lot (no matter if it's a 2x3 or 3x3 lot: When I try to place it at the road in the right window I can move it to the road but in the left window which shows the result it's in the backwards area. And this is indeed the final position after saving and testing it in the game. When I turn the building around it's in the middle of the street when I move it to the forward part of the lot: An additional problem is that the Lot Editor creates a lot with nonsensical values for the Zone Types: 0x04, 0x05 and 0x06: Of course I can change that and then I can plop the building in the game but this values I think should not appear in the first place.- 100 Replies

Hello, Can anyone help me with the question above? If u didn't understand, its like this, when u find your plugin inside the landmark folder, u select it and when u place it in your city, it just appears wid some dust coming out. I want to know, when u plop the plugin from the LM menu, instead just appearing, i want it to start constructing wid some crane on it.. I had seen this in the "Eclipse tower BAT" which is found on the STEX

Greetings fellow SC4ers: I apologize if this question is basic, but . . . How does one change the elevation of a prop in the Lot Editor? For instance, the radio station that ships with the game has two animated props -- a green flashing light and a "radio broadcast" visual effect -- positioned at the top of its transmitter mast. When I click on these props in the Lot Editor, I can see a numerical value next to them indicating their height in some specifically-placed increment. When I select one of those exact same props from the menu, however, they appear "locked in" at ground level. So what is the method for customizing the elevation of, say, flashing light props? How do I get people props on top of tall buildings? How do I put red flashing light props on my custom water towers? WHAT'S THE PROCEDURE?? I've tried every hot-key combination I can think of within the Lot Editor, but I've had no luck. I'm at my wit's end! Please help if you can! Thanks, Scquith- 100 Replies

But don't seem to find reward category in Plugin manager. Do I have to use another program or there is something I don't know about plugin manager. Whenever i try to use my serial code to download it there, it never works. I've never given my serial code to anyone. Can someone upload it for me? Or is there any other place I can get it? When I tried to run the Lot Editor that comes with the BAT it took long to load and then a message appeared saying "The program stopped working" and Lot Editor closes. I've tried running it in compatibility mode, with administrative rights, disabling the visual effects and tried almost everything I can do to try to make it work, but it keeps crashing. My question is, is there any way I can use the Lot Editor with Windows Vista? If there is, How?- 156 Replies
