  1. NYBT 915 West End Avenue

All these great New Year's presents... These are amazing, all of them.
  2. TIMES BUILDING

That's epic! And great timing as well! Thank you
  3. Can't find it?... Ask here!

Still looking for this terrain texture. I'm pretty sure that is CP's Meadowshire Terrain mod. Still looking for this terrain texture. Where can i find the three identical buildings in this image?. Those are in-game Commercial Office buildings in the Euro tileset. I think they're Stage 5 or 6, but I'm not sure.
  4. Yeah, when I first saw this over at SC4D, I literally didn't believe that was real SC4 gameplay... It defies all the laws of SC4physics! But, I want it.
  5. Should I buy Simcity 4 Deluxe or Cities XL 2012?

It depends on what you're looking for. CXL without any additions is more fun than vanilla SC4 without Rush Hour, definitely. But SC4's great advantage is that, combining the thousands of custom additions and the Rush Hour expansion pack, great masterpieces can be created - the variety is amazing. You could build a city in the Arab Emirates, in Egypt, in China, in Japan, in Switzerland, in Peru, even in Poland! Downloading all that custom content takes some time though. Some serious time. What Cities XL has to offer is a lot more versatility when it comes to city layout and easy filtering to get exactly the layout you want, as well as full 3D graphics. There now exist many additions and mods that make the game a lot better, but you're a bit constrained on what style of city you want. With the content available, it's pretty much anywhere in Europe - but that's where it ends. At the end of the day, it's just a question of what you want - and don't forget to give Cities XL a chance. It's much better than people end up thinking after everybody tells them that SC4 is the best option.
  6. Twinkle, twinkle, little BAT...

Just popping in to say that I love all the office packs you're making, these kinds of building sizes are sorely needed. Besides, they're the kind of offices that you would find in an everyday city. The overall work you put into it is outstanding. Thank you!
  7. Note that the biggest a city tile can get is the large city tile size in-game, anything bigger than that is impossible. So the biggest one tile region you could get is one large city tile. You can, however, terraform the region with 3rd party programs such as the ones Cefien suggested.
  8. BTT: Time Machine - currently patrolling 2007

So many recreations... It would've been nice following all those cities at once. Alas, I wasn't around at the time - nor was I until 6 years (more exactly, 5 years and 364 days) later.
  9. NYBT Walesbridge

Thanks for the gift, and Merry Christmas to you too! It's great!
  10. Can't find it?... Ask here!

Hello! I've been trying to find these buildings for a while now to no avail: The image comes from sim_link's Windermere. What I need are those apartment complexes in the middle of the image. Thanks in advance!
  11. Hillier Building

Awesome to see this released. Great looking building, and perfectly fitting pretty much anywhere.
  12. The Milestone Thread

Today marks both my 3rd anniversary on Simtropolis and my 400th post.
  13. Minecraft

@MamaLuigi: That one reminds me of SC4 architecture . Very nice job.

  15. Merry Christmas from Adatan!

    Very nice!
  16. Hey! I can see my name up in there! That's really detailed - great job!
  17. With SC4Terraformer you can turn your region's topography into a grayscale image that the game can process to create a completely new region. This is the simplest way of doing without obliterating anything, but I still think that obliterating it is easier - unless your region is fully built and massively big.
  18. Za's Non-NYBT Thread

That's really nice! We certainly need more of those small, modern buildings and Rochester seems like a fine place to provide the models.
  19. To all the people that yesterday were hiding in bunkers or underground refuges:

  20. Happy Holidays, and Tenth Anniversary!

Thanks to ST I discovered what I like most of all, and that's something not everyone does. Thanks to the community, for making the last 3 years of my life much more enjoyable. Thank you, and happy 10th birthday, Simtropolis!
  21. Terrace Zoning & Building

If cheating is not a problem for you, you can download Buggi's Extra Cheats DLL and use the cheat "buildingplop" (for the residentials to work you'll have to grow other buildings first, and then plop the building over them) to fill in any areas where the building(s) you want haven't grown.
  22. Pacific Northwest Tree Controller

Whoah, great! I'll be using this in the future. Thanks.
  23. How big is your plugin folder?

Mine contains 6.000 files and is 1.9 GB. That's still relatively small...
