  1. German Themed 220kV high voltage pylons (HD)

Is it possible that the diagonal piece is lacking its arms and lines? It looks like it is chopped off at the top... Otherwise the pylons look really great!
  2. XV Simlympic Bid

Thanks man! The site seems to be up and running now. So, I was able to download the stadium and even some other "pearls". That site is truely a treasure chest for anybody looking for new stadiums for SC4. Thanks again.
  3. XV Simlympic Bid

That is really great work! I hope your bid is successful By the way, where did you get that tennis stadium?
  4. Can't find it?... Ask here!

I don't know of any on the Stex... but check out this thread over at SC4 Devotion...it could be what you are looking for. yes, this is certainly the right direction. However, it is still too fancy with that bus-stop and all. I'm looking for something entirely "unfancy". Just some plain grass-lots (or sth similar) that function as airport, seaport, college etc.
  5. Can't find it?... Ask here!

Hi guys, are there any 1-tile lots functioning as airports, seaports, universities etc. that look like a normal park or a ped-mall or something so that I get the functionality but can hide them somewhere in my city (because it is less space-consuming and, for the sake of realism, there is no point in having a visible airport in every city-tile) I know that there are simple lots with concrete texture for power, water and garbage. But are there any lots for the airports and such, too?
  6. Hey folks, I have a question about neighbor connections with the NWM and especially about the two-tile networks. According to the ReadMe you must drag the roads till the and of the map (like with any other Maxis-network). For me, this leads to a connection with both arrows pointing outside the map (unlike with maxis-avenues were one arrow is pointing inside). Then I place the connector piece on the connection and everything should be fine. But, is it normal that both arrows still point outside? I mean it seems fine for the right lanes (right-hand drive) but the left lanes going inside the map show no traffic at all when I click them with the query. So, my question is this: Is this the correct way to do it? Does this connection function as it should or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance, Murdock813
  7. Surfers

Wow, that is nice idea. Could you do some people sunbathing too? Would be great! Good work!
  8. Can't find it?... Ask here!

Ah ok, well thank you. Let's see if I can figure out how to register there. My Chinese is a bit too rusty - or rather non-existent
  9. Can't find it?... Ask here!

Hey guys, I remember seeing some kind of a set of modular landfill/piles of garbage pieces on the Stex (at least I believe it was here) . The screenshots showed these pieces together with the regular garbage chute. Sadly, I don't remember the name of that upload and so I can't find it on the Stex. Maybe somebody knows the name of that set or could provide a link? Thanks in advance!
  10. Jonesboro: Glance at Edenderry

Very nice pictures. Question: which retaining walls are these in the last image? the look great, plain and simple.
  11. So what you do think?

Hey guys, I really like the new design, it just still feels very different. But I guess I'll get used to that! The only thing that bothers me so far is that in a CityJournal you can't just click from one entry to the next (like a next-button). Maybe there is this option and I just haven't found it yet, but if not, it would be grear if this feature could be added because it's much mor comfortable
  12. Show us your Parks!

@ LylyCSM I've changed the lots of a modular graveyard set in LotEditor (sorry, I don' remember the proper name of the set. But I think I donwloaded it from the Stex). On the initial lots there were many different tombs and mausolea, so, I basically deleted all of them except for one very simple tomb. Then I made some copies of this tomb and arranged them in this nice order.

    Thank you, wwetom1!
  14. Star wars prop pack fixed

Try to run LE in compatiibility-mode. Right-click on the LotEditor.exe, go to properties, under "compatibility" you'll find a box that enables this mode, tick it and choose WindowsXP SP2. This should work, at least it does for me...
  15. Show us your Parks!

This is a war cemetery similar to those you can see in Arlington or the Normandy.
  16. How to build under bridge?

Because I realized that the original topic of this thread is somewhat different from what I'm looking for, I made this image to make things clearer: Maybe somebody knows if a lot like this exists and is able to help me out. Thanks.
  17. How to build under bridge?

Hi, Does anybody know if there is any underbridge lot with just a grass texture. I mean a lot that is like jeronijs modern concrete wall underbridge piece but with the normal maxis-grass instead of the concrete wall and without a fence etc. Thanks guys,

  19. Show Us Your Suburbs

@Wheezy First of all, sorry for the late reply. To your question: No, I'm not from Tampa. And the number is not entirely random, but has no real meaning either. But you made me curious here, what is it that connects the number to Tampa?
  20. BAT Request Thread

@ Liberater444: One has to point out more clearly that the BMW museum is just the bowl-shaped building in the foreground. The tower in the background is the BMW-headquarter designed as a four-cylinder motor. But nonetheless both of the buildings would be great in SC4! So I definitely support this request.

Alte Synagoge Essen/Germany Note that the reddish color of the building is caused by the light of dusk. Actually the building is light grey. For further pics you might want to google-image-search "Alte Synagoge Essen". Description: This is the Old Synagogue of Essen (Germany). It is situated in the center of the city and its the largest synagogue north of the alps. It was inaugurated in 1913 and provided space for about 1500 people. In 1938 the building's inside was severly damaged by arsons set during the Reichspogromnacht while the outside remained mainly unharmed. Afterwards the Nazis were unable to demolish it because of its ferroconcrete structure and the closeness of surrounding buildings. During WWII the synagogue even survided the massive bombraids on Essen, which was an important center of the German steel and armaments industry. In 1956 the city bought the building from the remaining jewish community, which planed on building a new (smaller) synagogue. Since 1980 the "Alte Synagoge" serves as a municipal memorial site where meetings, concerts, exhibitions and memorial ceremonies take place regularly. Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Synagogue_%28Essen%29 Official homepage of the "Alte Synagoge" (German): http://www.alte-synagoge.essen.de/ Why this would be beneficial for the game or community: I think this building would be a useful contribution to the community because there are only 3 synagogues available on the STEX plus the small one included in a church-pack by simgoober, but none of these is sufficiently large. Maybe it could fit on a 3x5 or 4x6 lot and serve as museum and/or have a landmark-effect. In my eyes it could be a beneficial addition to the game and provide the gamers a bigger variety of religious buildings. And, considering the troubleful history of the building, I think it deserves a pixel-counterpart in our favorite game.
  22. ALPS vol.8 Bernese Oberland-Switzerland

all these alps-maps look great, but they are so awfully big...
  23. Show us your Seaport!

@ Josh6: its the PEG CDK container seaport, you should find it on the STEX. If not visit http://simpeg.com/forum/index.php?action=tpmod;dl - also known as the PLEX (you have to register there for downloading) Edit: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=19594 this is the seaport.
  24. Show Us Your Suburbs

thank you, art128. But this Lay-out often causes serious traffic jams, as the sims have the bad habit to use only one of the links to the main arteries clogging it badly...
