Description: Boardwalks are a transition point between human development on land and nature's possession of the sea. As such, they attract tourist and local alike and are unique in what they can offer due to the access they have to the water. But for those who stay off the waves and above the surface, there is something for you, too - a cold refreshment on a hot summer day or a funny T-shirt with the name of the beach on it. Or, just stroll the boardwalk and take it all in. There's something for everyone. There are four BATs included, with both growable and ploppable versions: - Zombie Shark Surf Shop: a fictional surfing supply shop where Sims can buy or rent a board and go surfing, or get a Zombie Shark T-shirt and pretend they do. - Simtropolis Dive Association: a fictional SCUBA store and tour outfit, prepared to whisk the inexperienced into their classes and the veteran divers to the coolest reefs, wreck sites, and marine sanctuaries. - Mom & Pop Souvenir Shop: A fictional, generic place to find souvenirs, because there are few things quite as charming as buying expensive merchandise from a delightful old local couple instead of the chain retail store that offers the same thing at half the price. - Rita's: (Not fictional) A common find on the Jersey shore, this Bensalem, Pennsylvania based company claims it has the "coolest treats on the beach." This Surf Shacks LOT set was made by @paeng and originally was uploaded onto the PLEX (or appeared there as a forum attachment) and hasn't been available according to my best knowledge since then. I made this readme to collect all the dependencies into one place for easier access with updated links. Please note with the permission of the Simtropolis Staff Members (Cori & Cyclone Boom) and Catty-CB, this file has been uploaded on behalf of Paeng. It was not available anymore due to the unfortunate demise of SimPeg. All the works contained within this download (lots and descriptors) were created by Paeng. The original surf shack models and VW buses props were made by @madhatter106 and you can find them on the provided link in the Dependencies below. Installation: Unzip the whole bundle, or COPY the "Paeng" folder from the *.zip into your plugin folder. You don't need to keep the "Documentation" folder. To uninstall, bulldoze any instance of this lot in your city, then remove the file(s) from your Plugins. In a perfect weekend, after a week of perfect waves and surfing weather, Finals Day and Day 2 of the Lords of the Board Festival made Sunday June 3rd the perfect ending of the The Ripcurl Pro Caravella Classic 2018. First of all: The winners! The 2018 Ripcurl Pro Caravella Classic has turned the both the 2018 Men's Championship Tour and the 2018 Women's Championship Tour upside down with 2 new overall leaders emerging after victories on Plage Le Soleil in Port de Caravella. 2018 Ripcurl Pro Caravella Classic: Women's Final: Tyler Wright (AUS) vs. Lakey Peterson (USA) In a epic battle between the Aussie outsider and US Lakey Peterson it was very close, but the final ditch effort of Wright to steal the win from Peterson was not enough. The 2018 Caravella Classic Women's Champion is Lakey Peterson (USA) and with this victory she is also the new overall number 1 in the Jeep 2018 Women's Championship leaderboard. Watch the final again: 2018 Ripcurl Pro Caravella Classic: Mens's Final: Michel Bourez (PYF) vs. Italo Ferreira (BRA) After all of the big starts of the Men's Championship were already knocked out early on, it was Brazil's Italo Ferreira who was the abosule favorite in the final of the Caravella Classic. His contender was Michel Bourez from French Polynesia. The 2018 Caravella Classic Men's Champion is Italo Ferreira and, just as in the Women's Championship, he is also the new leader in the Jeep 2018 Men's Championship leaderboard. Watch the final again: Lords of the Board Festival 2018: The Headliners And by perfect coincidence, the Finals Day was the same day as the final day of The Lords of The board Festival 2018. A festival to go coinside with the surf competition and attract more spectators to the WSL events all over the world. The Lords of The Board Festival 2018 has a strong lineup with world class artists like Anne-Marie, Metronomy, Zedd, Evanescence, Chvrches and Two Door Cinema Club. Saturday headliner: Run The Jewels On Saturday the headliner was USA Rap duo Run The Jewels. Run the Jewels, also known by the initialism RTJ, is an American hip hop duo consisting of rapper/producer El-P and rapper Killer Mike. They released their acclaimed debut studio album, Run the Jewels, as a free digital download in 2013. This was followed by Run the Jewels 2 in 2014, which was also praised by critics. Their critically acclaimed third album, Run the Jewels 3, was released digitally in 2016; a physical release appeared in 2017. Sunday headliner: Arcade Fire On Sunday the headliner were the festival kings and queens of Arcade Fire. Arcade Fire is a Canadian indie rock band, The band has been described as "indie rock, art rock, dance-rock, and baroque pop." They play guitar, drums, bass guitar, piano, violin, viola, cello, double bass, xylophone, glockenspiel, keyboard, synthesizer, French horn, accordion, harp, mandolin and hurdy-gurdy, and take most of these instruments on tour; the multi-instrumentalist band members switch duties throughout shows. It's on! The waves are here and the competition has started! The World Surf League (WSL) is now live in Port de Caravella for round 5 of the Mens + Womens Championship Tour: The Ripcurl Pro Caravella Classic 2018. This spectacular event takes place on the waves of Plage Le Soleil (Sunshine Beach) located about 20 minutes southwest of the Port de Caravella city center. The Ripcurl Pro Caravella Classic 2018 started on May 27th and will continue up to June 9th, daily competition is subject to the water conditions - but the weather is looking good! So far the competition has been fierce as 2017 World Champion John John Florence and the current leader in 2018 Championship Tour, Julian Wilson, both lost their heats in Round 3. Tomorrow the competition continues with Round 4, with heat winners advancing into the Quarter Finals. Here is some action from the Round 3 heat between Filipe Toledo from Brazil and Keanu Asing from Hawaii. The Ripcurl Pro Caravella Classic 2018 takes place on Plage Le Soleil. The capital of Principauté de Caravella-Guatalaga, Port de Caravella, is the host city of this world-wide broadcasted sports event. And it just gets better … This weekend, June 2nd and June 3rd, Plage Le Soleil will not only host the Ripcurl Pro Caravella Classic 2018 but also the Lords of the Board Festival 2018! It's been a loooooooooooooooong time since i've posted an update, but it's summertime so here we go again! And what better way to resume the story of Principauté de Caravella-Guatalaga then with the biggest event of the year! The World Surf League (WSL) is coming to Port de Caravella for round 5 of the Mens + Womens Championship Tour: The Ripcurl Pro Caravella Classic 2018. This is something never seen before on Simtropolis :-) From May 27th to June 9th the worlds best surfers will battle it out on the waves of Plage Le Soleil. So, keep posted because from the 27th onwards there will be ingame pictures and more! The file contains different surfers and windsurfers as ploppable Lots for water and land. Also mayor menu ploppable surf scenes for your beach. There are different folders for surfers and windsurfers with and without neoprene suits, so you can choose which one you want to copy in your plugins folder or simply use them all. The ploppable surfers are in the park menu, the surf scenes in the mayor menu. The surfers are in HD resolution. DEPENDENCIES: None DLL DEPENDENCIES: In order for the contents of this package to display correctly by taking advantage of the new DLL Mods requires the complete installation of the following dependencies (the below listed dependencies are covering a full install): Submenus DLL - You need it to get the package submenu working. Compatible only with the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsoft Windows and Linux only).
