Edit: Available again, after getting the correct controller in place. Thank you for your patience. In honor of the 11th anniversary of SimCity 4's release, the NAM Team is pleased to announce the arrival of the full release of the 32nd edition of the NAM, NAM 32. New features in Version 32--January 14, 2014 NAM 32 is a full package, which improves upon the earlier NAM 31.2 release and NAM 32 Pre-Release. Note that the NAM requires a retail copy (disc or digital) of SimCity 4 Deluxe to run. The NAM Elevated Viaducts for Roads, One-Way Roads, and Avenues are now available in a draggable form, at both Level 1 (7.5 meter) and Level 2 (15 meter) heights, complete with FLEX Height and On-Slope transitions. Overpass situations involving one or more diagonal networks are not yet supported, and will not be available until a future NAM release after Version 32. Elevated Rail-over-Avenue and Elevated Rail-over-NWM Road-4 dual-networking support has been added, complete with a new station supporting both networks. The initial phases of the RealRailway (RRW) system have been added. This feature must be selected as part of a custom install. The RealHighway (RHW) system has been expanded to include the QuickChange interchange system, which blends the RHW's modularity with the ease of Maxis Highway construction techniques for certain situations, which will be expanded in future NAM releases. Additionally, several new types of FLEXRamps are available--please read the instructions in the description text. FLEX Transitions have also been given stability improvements for certain situations. Coupled with the RHW system, the NAM now offers Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) functionality, including stations. Transit station functionality has been further improved, including the beginning of the implementation of the SLURP, which will gradually raise all transit stations to NAM standards. The NAM Controller Compiler has been included with the installer, with which it now communicates, ensuring that only the installed features are incorporated into the NAM Controller, reducing file size and load times. About 50 bugs reported since the start of the NAM 32 Pre-Release have also been squished, including some that had been present since earlier versions of the NAM. It is highly recommended that users update to the latest NAM in order to enjoy a more stable experience. Installing over previous versions: NAM 32 may be installed directly over top of any previous NAM releases. It is a full release, not a patch or a hotfix. All future updates are planned to be in full package form, and there are no plans to issue patches or hotfixes in the future. Please also note that the NAM Team only provides technical support for the most recent version, which, as of this document, is NAM 32. We cannot assist users of the NAM 32 Pre-Release, NAM 31.x-series release, or earlier. Special Thanks: The NAM Team would like to extend its sincere thanks to all the members of the community who helped test the NAM 32 Pre-Release, offering feedback and helping us locate and solve bugs.

It will be very familiar to those who love the genre, but it will also do new things and set its own priorities and focus areas: It will be a single-player game that works completely offline. The goal is to simulate one whole, huge region at once - no need for tiny city lots or artificial city interaction dynamics. It will be affordable and will not rely on DLC. Alpha and Beta versions will be available for a reduced price. Moddability will be a priority, not an afterthought. There's something of a size mismatch happening here. Colossal Order tells me it can give its players 36 square kilometres of space to build their cities in, 36 square kilometres in which they can expand and enlarge, spread and sprawl. That's enough space for suburbs, commuter towns and even arable land. In contrast, last year's SimCity only provided a couple of square kilometres and, in spite of the efforts of all the pages of team members listed in its credits (a number possibly higher if you consider that credits often only list staff present when a title ships), what happened within those city limits didn't always make sense. Colossal Order is confident it can make a larger, more coherent and more customisable city-building game with, well... nine people. Banished, a city-building strategy game by Shining Rock Software is released today. What is Banished? Welcome to the world of Banished! In this city-building strategy game, you control a group of exiled travelers who decide to restart their lives in a new land. They have only the clothes on their backs and a cart filled with supplies from their homeland. The objective of the game is to keep the population alive and grow it into a successful culture. Options for feeding the people include hunting and gathering, agriculture, trade, and fishing. However, sustainable practices must be considered to survive in the long term. Gameplay The townspeople of Banished are your primary resource. They are born, grow older, work, have children of their own, and eventually die. Keeping them healthy, happy, and well-fed are essential to making your town grow. Building new homes is not enough—there must be enough people to move in and have families of their own. Banished has no skill trees. Any structure can be built at any time, provided that your people have collected the resources to do so. There is no money. Instead, your hard-earned resources can be bartered away with the arrival of trade vessels. These merchants are the key to adding livestock and annual crops to the townspeople’s diet; however, their lengthy trade route comes with the risk of bringing illnesses from abroad. There are twenty different occupations that the people in the city can perform from farming, hunting, and blacksmithing, to mining, teaching, and healing. No single strategy will succeed for every town. Some resources may be more scarce from one map to the next. The player can choose to replant forests, mine for iron, and quarry for rock, but all these choices require setting aside space into which you cannot expand. The success or failure of a town depends on the appropriate management of risks and resources. Survival Surviving the winters will be among your greatest challenges. Your tailors can make clothing, your people can build houses and burn firewood. But necessities have a price—Cutting down forests reduces the deer population you can hunt. Although your foresters can plant new trees, the cures for many diseases can only be found in forests that have existed for decades. Farming for many seasons in one place will ruin the soil. Taking fish and game faster than they reproduce will lead to extinction, and your starvation. Wandering nomads can join your town to grow the population quickly, but allowing them in increases the chance of illnesses from far off lands!

Back! If one follows the Cremorne Highway along the coast, they come to this junction. Continuing straight along the highway approaches the Ellraine Bridge, where turning left wraps you around into Scarborough. We will take the bridge for now. You can get some great views of the harbour from the bridge. The northern approach of the bridge cuts through a part of Canterbury known as Bridgemarket. A closer look at the apartments and terrace houses... The other bridge across the straits takes you more directly to the northern part of Scarborough. It is much older than the Ellraine Bridge Downtown Canterbury. They have spacious parks too! Thats it for now! Hopefully you enjoyed! Don't forget to +1 or comment if you enjoyed it!

As promised in my last post a couple of weeks ago, I've been working really hard to get my new BAT ready to show you. I still have a bit of work to do, I've only made one of the statues and there's a couple of bits to fix up on the model, but its pretty close. No idea why I made this one though... maybe just jumping on the British bandwagon . Anyway, here's a sneak preview of my model of: St Paul's Cathedral, London

I been watching this development for a while now. The game is finished and due to be released February 18th. I just thought this game release deserves some front page shine here as a new member of the city building genre made by one dedicated developer. Looks very interesting.

Update 43 Fall 1884 Previously on New SorGun… Like so many others, Lee Shao arrived in America with a shirt on his back and determination in his heart. His hard work and perseverance led him to Steamer Bay and a job with the Northern Pacific Railroad. After years of sweat and toil, Lee had earned a sizeable savings, as well as a reputation as an honorable and decent man. But after President Chester A. Arthur signed the Chinese Exclusion Act into law in the spring of 1882, it looked as though Lee Shao’s big dreams could come crumbling down. (click for full size) Kathleen Blake was no stranger to disintegrating dreams. ‘Kitty,’ as her family called her, was born on a farm near Elizabethtown, KY in the spring of 1837, not too far from where the 16th President of the United States first entered this world. Tragedy first struck the Blake family when Kitty’s mother passed away during child birth three years later. (click for full size) Fortunately, Kathleen had two older brothers who treated her like a brother too. She spent much of her childhood traversing the countryside catching frogs, fighting (imaginary) Indians and hunting rabbits. Her father did his best to raise three kids and provide for his family. He remarried when Kitty was 6 years old. Virginia, Her step-mother, was a kind women but after giving birth to Kitty’s step-sister, she never had time to develop a close bond with her step children. Kathleen’s brothers were her real family, and they continued to remain close through adolescence. Years later, President Abraham Lincoln, who was born only miles from where Kitty was raised, watched the country he swore to protect begin to crumble before his very eyes. The American Civil War was erupting across the country, and Kitty’s two brothers found themselves enlisting in the Union army to join the adventure, like thousands of like-minded young men. The brothers would see action across the western theater, but on one ill-fated day in 1862 both siblings fell defending their home state in the Battle of Richmond. (click for full size) The news devastated her father and shook Kitty to the core. The fall and winter months were the darkest she could remember, but one cold night brought a dream so vivid, Ms. Blake knew her life would never be the same. As the spring of 1863 warmed the frozen ground and her epiphany still fresh in her mind, Kitty joined one of many wagon trains heading west. With a new life ahead of her, Kitty felt alive for the first time since she received word of her brothers’ deaths. (click for full size) The journey lasted over 4 months, but in that time Kitty struck up a romance with a tailor by the name of Henry Timworthy. The pair married near the end of their trip, and Kitty followed her new husband up the pacific coast to a frontier town by the name of New SorGun. Mr. Timworthy earned a good living by mending and selling clothes to loggers passing through the area, while Kitty learned the ins and outs of being a homemaker on the edge of civilization. (click for full size) Frontier life suited Kitty, but married life did not. The adventures and challenges of a pioneer was exactly what Kitty yearned for, but Mr. Timworthy made it clear that he expected a prim and proper wife. Acquaintances would note that the pair fit together like oil and water. Mrs. Timworthy, like so many other women of the time, veiled her unhappiness and struggled on. She passed the time throwing herself at any community project that caught her interest, which often times included helping folks who were down on their luck. She enjoyed serving meals at one of the first soup kitchens in New Sorgun. (click for full size) By the summer of 1865, Kitty was well known and respected around New SorGun and she was beginning to feel at home in this new frontier. The Civil War, which took her two precious brothers, was all but over and a feeling of renewal and hope began to fall over the citizens of SorGun. But in a strange twist of fate, Mr. Timworthy fell ill and passed away soon after. As anybody would surely expect, Kitty was devastated. Although the two were not necessarily the closest of married couples, the unexpected death shocked Kitty. Was she destined to be deprived of love and happiness? These thoughts filled Kitty, and as she mourned the death of her husband the only sliver of joy that struck her was when she found herself at the soup kitchen feeding the hungry souls who passed through the door. Suddenly, the dream she so clearly recalled came flooding back, and Kitty realized what she must do. Mr. Timworthy was a frugal man and he left a sizable savings to Kitty when he passed. She could have easily used the money to live the rest of her days in modest comfort, but that life didn’t interest her in the slightest. Instead, Kitty Timworthy opened up a saloon in the up and coming area of New SorGun, right near the Yarahi Mill. Business was booming, and by 1867 Kitty was using much of the profits from the Saloon to offer free meals to the town’s homeless and destitute citizens, fulfilling her philanthropic instincts. (click for full size) As a business owner, Kitty became more involved in the political world of the growing frontier town. As a woman, she was acutely aware of the near monopoly men held on the governing of day to day life in New SorGun (that could be said of the entire world, as well). Naturally, she became interested in anti-establishment philosophies that touted change, including suffrage, socialism, prohibition and others. Kitty was even honored to host a dinner with Susan B. Anthony and Abigail Scott Duniway as they toured the Pacific Northwest in the fall of 1871. A few years later, after the shocking decision of the Northern Pacific Railroad to make the western terminus in Steamer Bay, Mr. Eastman T. Finch was hailed as the savior of New SorGun after he and completed the coal line from Foxton to New SorGun. Like most residents, Kitty was glad New SorGun wasn’t turned into a ghost town, but she became distraught after learning the plight of some of the railroad workers. The pay was paltry and the labor was hard and dangerous. (click for full size) During one town council meeting, Kathleen Timworthy suggested an ordinance to ensure that every worker receive a hot meal each day, and medical attention if necessary. Of course, she was nearly laughed out of the hall by the town’s gentry for suggestion such an absurd notion. Mr. Finch delivered a haughty rebuke of her proposal, which incensed Kitty even further. It became apparent to Kitty that convincing the towns ruling elite to enact change for the good of the people was a losing proposition. Fortunately for Kitty, the winds of change were in the air. I'd like to thank krashspeed for creating all the awesome HH models, including the mind blowing details like the various sims... These future entries wouldn't be half as good without his amazing craftsmanship. Also, thank you all for hanging in there - I know it's been quite a while

SimCity will finally get an offline mode. Maxis has announced, just two months short of the game's first birthday. The news comes after repeated problems with the launch of the most recent release of the city-building game, which required players to be online. Requiring connection to the internet was seen as an attempt to curb piracy, but some users struggled to log in. The new offline version will be available to all players as a free download once testing is completed. SimCity had been a stand-alone game up until March 2013, when a new online-only version was released. The launch was beset by problems, with many gamers reportedly waiting 30 minutes or more before they could start to construct a city. Others said the game was sluggish once they were playing, that it was slow to respond to changes, and it often crashed. 'Polished as possible' Electronics Arts (EA), which owns SimCity creator Maxis, apologised for the problems and said a lot more people had logged on than it had expected. It called the launch "dumb" and offered a free game to those who had been affected. At the time of the reported problems, Lucy Bradshaw, head of Maxis, said an offline, single-player mode did not fit with its "vision" for the urban-planning game and that many people preferred the online multi-player version. But in a blog post this weekend, Patrick Buechner, general manager of Maxis, said: "Let's get right to it. SimCity offline is coming! I've wanted to say those words for quite some time." "When we launch it, all of your previously downloaded content will be available to you anytime, anywhere, without the need for an internet connection." He also said that an offline version would allow users to make modifications to the game and its components without compromising the integrity of the online game. "Modding is a big part of our studio's legacy and we're excited to see what you guys create," he said. Graham Smith, writing on the gaming website Rock Paper Shotgun, said the announcement was good news. "The offline mode is a real boon to the community. If you've got no internet connection or just a shaky one, this is the difference between being able to play the game and not," he said. Mr Buechner said that Maxis was in the late stages of wrapping up development of the offline version and in a nod to the previous launch added that "while we want to get it into your hands as soon as possible, our priority is to make sure that it's as polished as possible before we release it". The offline game will come as a free download with update 10 and will be available to all SimCity players. Source: BBC News

The Five Days of Macondo were a major event in the Revolutionay year of 1861. On March, a rebellion arose in the city of Papireto. Macondo was a colony of Fringuellonia Empire, ruled by the Emperor Fringuello II. The population was subject to high taxation, and most of the inhabitants of Macondo were in conditions of absolute poverty. Who is opposed to the imperial government was arrested. In addition, the plague of 1859 decimated the population of Papireto. The emperor and the rulers of Macondo were indifferent to the problems of macondiani. In March of 1861 the Emperor Fringuello II, to strengthen his presence on the territory of Macondo, arranged the marriage between his son and the Countess Serbelloni Viendalmare Mazzanti, daughter of Count Guido Serbelloni Viendalemale Mazzanti, governor of the Macondo’s colony. The people did no accept the news well. And so they organized a protest in front of the seat of government, where the Emperor was with his family follows the story of a contemporary chronicler… … it seems that the imperial guards have used the cannons against the unarmed people. On the streets of Papireto there are hundreds of deaths… ...the revolt broke out ... the citizens of Papireto raise barricades in the streets of macondo. They attack and defend themselves with rifles and stones ... … the imperial guards were defeated in the "Piazza della mole". …The Insurgents are moving into the Government Palace… Many government officials, including the Count Servelloni Viendalmare Mazzanti, are captured. …Emperor saw the difficulty of resisting under siege in the city centre and he preferred to retire at the “Reggia di Macondo”... …At the “Reggia di Macondo” Emperor meets thousands of protesters and decides to escape in the countryside of Macondo. … The news of the revolt spreads in the countryside of Macondo. Thus, near Casteldipollo, the emperor and his family are captured by a group of rioters and are conducted in Papireto… ..People run to Piazza del Popolo, where was set up the scaffold. Justice will be done. In the 17 March 1861 the leaders of the revolt proclaim independence. Born the Republic of Macondo.

Howdy stranger! Wow, this CJ took a dive off the ol' cliff. Where has the time gone? Two months since the last update? Well slap me silly and call me a scalaywag. But before the tar and feathers, let me appeal with an excuse... Historic Harbor is nearing completion! Vortext, krashspeed and I have been burning the midnight oil getting things ready for a release. Where's the evidence you say? How bout' these... And there's more where those came from. We're looking at about 100 lots in total. And to fill up those lots, krashspeed has created over 1,000 buildings and props that will make your mouth drool. But don't take my word for it: We're working on the finishing touches, but rest assured, construction on Historic Harbor is nearly complete But before you go, I want to thank everyone who has stopped by and supported this CJ over the past year. I am honored and humbled that New SorGun was recognized as the #1 CJ in 2013 according to Ben's Top Ten. Your comments and support encorage me to keep up this CJ - and keep it up I will. With the Historic Harbor project nearing completion I have begun to work on the next few updates. Big changes are in store, so stay tuned Oh, and one last thing! It's Trixie time, so please take a moment and nominate some of the great members of this community for all the hard work they put in over the past year. Don't know where to start? Well take a look at some of the top downloads over the past year in the STEX. Or maybe there's a member who is always making great posts in the forums. And don't forget some of your favorite CJers. Taking 10 minutes to submit a few nominations is a great way to say thanks and keep this community a fun place to visit. Thanks!

SimCity 4 Network Addon Mod maker warns against buying the game from Origin Andy Chalk at 16:30 on 25 August 2014 SimCity 4 is more than ten years old, but given the relative dearth of SimCity games since it came out, it remains a popular way for fans of the franchise to get their fix. But the maker of the Network Addon Mod says gamers should be careful about where they buy it: The version of the game being offered by Origin is the unpatched retail release, and because of changes to its copy protection it cannot be updated, nor can it take full advantage of custom content and mods. As explained on the SimCity 4 site SimTarkus, the Network Addon Mod (NAM) requires a minimum of SimCity 4 version 1.1.638, the version that results from applying the EP1 Update 1 to the retail version of the game. But the a href="https://www.origin.com/en-ca/store/buy/56334/pc-download/base-game/deluxe-edition">Origin is not capable of being updated because it modified the unpatched version of the game, 1.1.610, to replace the SafeDisc copy protection with Origin's online DRM. "This modification, however, changes the checksum of the executable, just as the NoCD hacks did, which not only causes it to be rejected by the NAM installer, it also prevents the EP1 Update 1 patch and the BAT Nightlight patch from being installed, as well as the official first-party content creation tools, like the Lot Editor and the Building Architect Tool (BAT). In effect, this forces the user to remain at Version 1.1.610, deprived not only of the full function of the wide array of custom content available for the game, but of basic fixes to the game that have been available for 10 years," NAM developer Tarkus wrote. "Origin’s digital version of SimCity 4 Deluxe is not just unpatched, it’s unpatchable." Tarkus also linked to a from earlier this month in which an EA support rep acknowledged the limitations of the Origin version of the game, but insisted that it's behaving as it's supposed to. "The game that you bought from us is working as intended and it is not broken," the rep explained. "The reason why mods are not working on your copy is because we do not support mods for the title. And we do not support the upgrades that you want to do in game." There is, of course, a world of difference between "we do not support" and "we do not allow," especially since virtually every other digital distributor offers a version of the game that does support mods. So while it may be working as EA intends, the bottom line is obvious: If you want to buy SimCity 4, you're probably better off buying it somewhere else. (Today, by the way, that "somewhere else" should probably be GOG: It's on sale for $8 until 11:59 pm on August 25.)

View Album Well, you might have gotten the feeling that the above photo-tour is somewhat... incomplete. And you are right - that city never survived... You see, it was built on the of side this guy here - Then one day I SimGod decided to unleash a little bad weather and disaster and have some fun... yeah well, that lasted until I blacked out and did something... very... VERY... wrong... So here is just a parting shot - the last we'll ever see of this once-well-to-do town...

Note: Some of these images (including the one on the right) are very hi-res. Click on them to experience the hi-res awesomeness! After a long flight and a few stops down the road, we finally arrive to Plantation Bay! We land on a small airport on our private airplane, to one of the biggest cities in the Northern Nations (more on the nations coming up next update) What is Plantation Bay? A state with over 40 million people living in it, and 4 million in the main area (region above). It is the largest city in the South District. Around the lake that divides into two rivers, lies the core of the city: Plantation Metropolis: Highway 175 Going north before turning West. The highway in this image was closed for 1 hour during interchange construction , but despite the lack of traffic shown here, it is a very busy highway. Here's an old 1850s photograph of the same downtown: The city has come a long way since this was once taken. This image holds great significance, as it was taken in an air balloon around 1851, during Plantation Bay's infancy. Surrounding the core, are the suburbs: (Late one afternoon, don't mind the black coffee stain on the left) More Shots of the City and Region: Further West, is the famous Long Shore Island: In this island, only the richest live here. This is where all the mansions are, well away from the noise of the city. Most commute eastward to the CO$$$ offices downtown. When game maker Will Wright began looking for a publisher for a project called Micropolis, there wasn't a lot of interest. The game, which was specifically designed so it couldn't be won (or lost), was so outside the box that virtually no one was willing to take a chance. That's when he found himself on the doorstep of a tiny publisher called Maxis. They decided to give it a shot. One name change and 25 years later, we are celebrating the birthday of the great SimCity. The city-building simulation caught the collective imagination of the gaming community when it was first released in October of 1989, ultimately giving birth to nearly 20 sequels and spin-off titles, including the biggest PC franchise ever, The Sims. Born from Wright's realization that he was having more fun creating levels for his previous game - Raid on Bungeling Bay - than playing the game itself, SimCity has been named as one of the ten most important games of all time by The New York Times and PC World. It had real-world implications, too. In 1993, Chevron commissioned Wright and Maxis to make a custom version of the game for them called SimRefinery, which helped new employees understand the ins and outs of the company's refineries and distribution system. The University of Southern California and the University of Arizona have even used the game in urban planning and political science classes. That is a testament to SimCity is depth as a simulation. As the mayor/overseer of a fictional city, gamers need to keep an eye on the city's infastructure, ensuring that power is adequate, crime levels are low and tax rates are just right, while still dealing with unexpected disasters. And what wonderful disasters the game offers! Floods and earthquakes were bad enough, but when Wright threw in giant monster attacks and tornadoes that could result in train crashes, the mayhem was too much to resist. Later games, like the beloved SimCity 2000, would build on this, adding extraterrestrial invasions and meteor strikes. The series has had its ups and downs through the years. While The Sims went on to become the best-selling PC franchise of all time, other attempted tie-ins, like SimCopter and SimAnt, were only moderate successes. Maxis went all out trying to spin the formula into more hits, but Streets of SimCity, SimEarth, SimHealth (which simulated President Bill Clinton's healthcare reform proposals) and others never really caught on. There's still a strong demand for the game, though. Even the 2013 version of SimCity, which earned an avalanche of bad reviews for its requirement that the game constantly be connected to the Internet, sold more than 2 million copies. ---- Read here: https://games.yahoo.com/blogs/plugged-in/simcity-turns-25-232150981.html

Today we come to the city centre of Denairsk and this would be the second last entry for the season. We have more and longer images today so please take your time and enjoy. ======================================================== Comparing to the residential area, the urban centre of Denairsk gives a different atmosphere. There are governmental organizations, sculptures and monuments -- artifacts which are related to the Nation (and also the People, of course). Nowoivokzo A main urban centre after 'regeneration'. Gorgeous, straight and long avenues flanked with modernist buildings. Nowoivokzo Station is the landmark of this area. In general movement within the city is not restricted. However if people want to travel beyond the city, 'sensitive region' in particular, they may need special permission to do so (for security, they said). For your information, checkpoints are located on highway as well. The south end of Centralny Street has neat and uniform offices and apartments, and the station square at the north end. From the square roads radiate and expand. All this layout enhance the presence of Nowoivokzo Station and is a reminder of the great regeneration of the city. Behind the hill foot of the Station there is the Federation Building of Denairsk. This huge complex of the government represent the spirit of the Nation. Vokzorgka Vokzorgka has not been regenerate too much. What are still visible are the not-so-uniform buildings and streets. Vokzorgka still maintain its old age atmosphere. Yet everything changes in this city. Vokzorgka is currently surrounded by modern communal apartments. It has been said that old things are not rational in a city like Denairsk. In additional the Civil Works Bureau has already announced the future plan for Vokzorgka: "For the gorgeous future of all fellow citizen and the Nation, Vokzorgka will become the medical hallmark of Denairsk. New hospitals, New facilities and New department of medical training will undoubtedly bring us a healthier, more affluent and better life. Current citizens in Vokzorgka should prepare yourselves and related department would bring a more beautiful living environment for you. Finally back with a new entry. After a long time I finally managed to finish the last part of the Tisnov area. This update will feature the city of Tisnov, several villages and a few overviews of the entire area. The city of Tisnov was founded in 1061 and to this day it is the seat of the diocese of Tisnov. The old city consists of two parts: the Old Town and the left bank of the river which runs through the city, and the so-called Bischop's Town where the city's cathedral is located. Inbetween, on a tiny island in the river, is the old city hall. Let's have a look. The cathedral and the Bishop's palace. The old city hall. An overview of the Bishop's Town. The Old Town and its main parish church. Two overviews of the old city center and the surrounding areas. Adjacent to Tisnov is the ancient village of Hlohovec. On the other side of the ponds (see part 1 and 2) is the town of Klárov. An additional view of Lednice with the gardens of the local chateau(see part 2). And finally, two overviews of the Tisnov area. For orientation (first picture): on top the city of Tisnov, to the left Valtice (see part 1), bottom left Klárov and to the right Lednice (see part 2).

I rediscovered Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri again, God it is still so addictive! At the start of next year this journal will be quiet for a few weeks as I work on new cities and landscapes. Thanks a lot for all of the comments and the Simtropolis members who follow this CJ, your support and appreciation has spurred me on to greater heights. Update 66: Lego Simcity This entry is going to be a bit different, it's about my other city building passion some years ago: Lego. Before I discovered the mods in Simcity 4 and the game itself, I was building Lego cities for years. Realism and scale didn't matter, it was simply the feel and look of it all. Lego city building was the genesis for my obsession with Simcity 4. To me this- -and this are very much the same. /// I made this city about four years where aside from Lego I also utilised diecast vehicles, plastic road signs and wooden railway tracks. /// There's my old grey baseunit in the background. It was purchased by my dad so Simcity 4 could properly run. The baseunit met its match when running Civ 5 so I replaced it with the lean mean machine I use today. A section of toy elevated railway. Every building has a different style and colour scheme. I started doing that during in the last couple of years where I was still constructing Lego cities. Throw in a bit of dust for grit and grunge. Note the K'NEX guns in the background. K'NEX guns and guitar was another passion of mine. A view down the central road. I have a very fond sense of symmetry. When it came to the elevated railway the supports for it had to be right... /// This is a one-off entry but I thought it would be interesting to show it to you all. Anyway, next Saturday it is back to Simcity 4- the ultimate in toy city building!

Thought its time for an update from me. Thanks for the comments and Feedback on Tower 1. I've made a couple of changes, including replacing the white noise texture with a proper texture and I've remade the palm trees from scratch... and tweaked a few other things. Here's what I've been working on. I've been sitting on this for weeks... months maybe..? I made the base in about 2 days, the whole 2nd tower this morning.. and weeks and weeks on the first tower. I found it so tedious I could only muster 15 minutes a day before I'd had enough. I've persevered though, and here they are: Yarra's Edge Towers 2 & 3: Let me know what you think so far. Oh, thanks heaps to Roger51 for providing me with some rooftop images that enabled me to complete them

But I would try a different theme since this one is update 13.... +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ warning: this update contain horror and myth stories, possibly make you creep out... Click here for the background music to add the atmosphere of update Chiyoko, a city in Watanabe Prefecture. It's just about 27km from Downtown Watanabe city, the prefecture capital also Nakahara's 2nd largest city. Beneath the city, there's a myth growing on local residents. Chioka Forest (千岡森), a forest in Chiyoko. Legend said that this forest which some people called it as Chioka (血岡森) hide something inside it. Locals likely said that there's a forbidden place named Shinodake Estate inside the forest... is it true? lets find it out... We stopped at the bus stop in this Sekichi town (関地町) on the side of Okuzawa Highway (岡沢街道), Watanabe Prefectural route 134 just from Shimazaki, 20km in the south of Chiyoko. Seems theres nothing wrong about this town so far. Walking around this town, find out something about Shinodake estate maybe someone already know about it? it started to be dark here.... but anyway nothing different here, everything seems like usual town in Nakahara.... But.... why every time we ask about that place everyone just scared and avoiding it? some actually really pointing to the other way though... so, might just turn back and see what we can get.... Guess that we need to cross this major road again... and enter the town. But this way seems pretty much less populated and houses started to be rare.... What now, the road in this area are badly maintained and now, seems the road ends here or not? anyway we havent found anything so far... so maybe lets continue there... This place not have any sign of human life inside it, and this might just an abandoned pathway across the forest.. Wait what is this??? seems like this place used to be lived by people but now, not even a single soul inside it anymore... this heavy feeling just really weird and this place must have something wrong about it.... still we haven't found Shinodake name in any of these houses... Going deeper into forest, my feeling about something wrong here are going heavier... Going deeper into forest, my feeling about something wrong here are going heavier... dunno why but I feels that place really strange..... Dead end? really that house also not have that Shinodake name plate there..... or maybe it is the place, lets go inside... Secondary Music to accompany the rest of the update few minutes later there's nothing related inside except a rundown house with furnitures.... oh no, its already dark outside... I try to go back on this path.. to go back since I got nothing here..... Strange but I feels like already walks for miles away and surely if measured in this afternoon, I should already see the main road now but how could it possible??? This place???? Really again???? looks like I just walking around in circle... but how????? I remembered that I just followed this road... wait what is that??? WHATTT? AAAHHH? That empty lot in the evening now it turn out to be a house complete with a sign name "Shinodake" that must be the place which mentioned earlier...... +--------------------------------+ note: this story actually heavily influenced on Corpse Party Book of Shadow final chapter (blood drive) so maybe some already familiar with this one? lol anyway thats all for this update hope you enjoyed....

Hello fellow citizens, it has been a while since I have taken the time to address the masses. I come before you today to announce the arrival of a child. A child born of this community. Samantha and I are the proud parents of a beautiful baby boy called Nicolas Orion. He was born on March 18th at 18:05, he weighed just 5 lbs 14 oz (2.66 Kg) and was 19.25" (48.9 cm) long. I never envisioned that I would not only meet the love of my life on the Internet so it is even crazier to think that we would also become parents of a beautiful baby boy. If this site didn't exist, we would likely have never met and this new life would never have existed. I feel that I must thank our glorious Dirktator, may he rule forever, for that little miracle. Thank you to the community that was built here and that continues to thrive here for all of the support and kindness over the years. Cheers!

So, I decided to give it a go. What do you think...? I took inspiration from the pot plant on the side board next to where I work There are 3 towers, each floor is one whole apartment, square footage is dictated by the shape of the building rather than internal walls. On 2 levels of the towers there are common spaces which open up onto terraced gardens. Powerful pumps recycle water up from the ground pool which cascades out of a man-made waterfall positioned near the top of the building. Fall off from the waterfall acts as irrigation for the terraced gardens. The entry is from under the building via ramps up to the first level plaza with a reflecting pool and more gardens. Tracks running down the side of the building dual purpose as guides for the custom built BMU enabling the outside windows to be cleaned. Cost projection so far, 70 Gagillion dollars. This is concept at the moment, obviously some of the textures and water effects need a bit more work

However, some have speculated that under The Lotus Flower is a super secretive Artificial Intelligence research lab run by the Electronic and Virtual Logistics Corporation in partnership with the Ionican government. The park has 8 entrances. The main entrance is on the South side and it is the only one that leads all the way to The Lotus Flower on the fourth level. This is the South-West entrance to the park. The buildings that surround the Hanging Gardens are of course placed to provide its residents the best possible access and views of the park. On the Western side we can see low rise mini-apartments arranged in a criss--cross formation as seen in other Zones like Sarai and Tan Chudan. The entrance on the North West side faces the Emerald Mall, the largest horizontal mall in the inner-city. The Northern entrance is the narrowest of the 8 and it faces Emerald's financial district. You will often see stock-brokers and hedge fund managers walking through the park during lunch hour. Near the North East entrance to the park can be found the Guggenheim Ionica, an art museum which features some of the greatest contemporary and classic art collections the world has ever known. On the East side is Emerald College, a small but prestigious school funded by EVL Corp. (Electronic and Virtual Logistics Corporation) which focuses on Computer Sciences. The in the frame may look old, but inside the facilities are state of the art. The headquarters of EVL Corp. looks directly on to the South East entrance of the park. It is alleged that the super secret AI research lab inside/underneath The Hanging Gardens can be accessed through this building. Here is a close up view of one of the diagonal sides of the pyramid. And finally we reach the top where we see The Lotus Flower, or as some have dubbed it The Temple of Science and Technology. Inside is a state of the art museum that displays some of the newest and most advanced prototypes and scientific theories. It's not the type of museum that looks back to the past, but forward to the future. A bird's eye view reviews the epic scale of park/pyramid and gives a stunning look at how the water cascades all the way from the top. Then night falls and the Hanging Gardens of Ionica become an even more magnificent sight to behold. A beam of purple light reaches all the way to the sky and reaches out as a beacon of hope for the world. Some have speculated that the light beams signals to satellites in outer-space but no one has been able to confirm that the beam is sending out any signals. The rest is more of that Ionica night-magic. Enjoy! Comments, suggestions, and questions are always appreciated. Thanks for visiting. slickbg56: THE GIF! You've outdone yourself here. That's pretty impressive that you had photos of the before and after of the city after all that time. I've never seen that tricked out shiny black building in the 4th picture. Pretty futuristic. Well done on the constant rebuilding. Ah yes, The Borg cube. Such a fantastic BAT. Thanks. Ln X: That Borg cube building is frickin' awesome! Star Trek nerdgasm! Pretty much my reaction when I first found it on the STEX. Simul8ter8: Always awe-stricken after seeing your journal. keep at it. It's been a long time Simul8ter8. I've been hoping to see you make a comeback. Thanks. Schulmanator: The city planners have been busy increasing awesomeness... Looking good! Great settings for great buildings. With people like you around I'm always inspired to make something bigger and better. Thanks. Mymyjp: Like LnX, your "Borg" looking building is so awesome! Funny thing is that I was actually watching it on TV! lol Excellent job as always. Ah, watching shows on TV, I remember when I used to do that. Thanks Mymyjp. Benedict: Congratulations, your CJ is number one on Ben's Top Ten this week. Brilliant work again this week - and you're still at number one on BTT. My thanks to everyone who visit and supports this CJ. And to you Ben for diligently compiling all these stats and maintaining the lists. KonstantinII: I really can't say which version of Illium I like more, the old one, or the new one? Both are good. That is an impressive re-design of the city. I am probably too lazy to have re-designed a large city like that. I particularly like the vertical farms in this image. Nice touch of realism there. It would be realistic to have vertical farms to feed all the people who live here. Countries that import most of their food are too dependent on foreign trade. I think that from a distance the older version may look slightly more impressive but when you got up close you could see it was a real mess. I love those vertical farms too. Thanks. Huston: Beautiful redesign. It looks so much more fluid with the new design! And I'm glad to see one of my BATs tucked in comfortably in your city And to think I made a Illium related update as well AWesome job overall Militant Yeah there are actually 2 instances of your BAT in that city. The Mayhem Memorial Plaza is probably one of my most used BATs these days. Thanks for sharing it. Pretty funny that we both released an Illium update in the same week. Get out of my head Huston! Or wait, maybe I'm in yours... Terring: Great work, dude Good to hear from ya. Thanks. TekindusT: THIS is urban renewal!! Yeah, feels like I've been doing a lot of that recently. jmsepe: Nice image sceneries, I like the one with the terminal station near the waterfront. Glad you like it. Thanks. Basilins: How do you make that Toyota Center work ? I think there is no road connection but it needs that. That's not the Toyota Center. It's the Tokyo Dome, can't remember where I got it. mrsmartman: Great work. I am curious that you keep remaking the city of Illium. Personally, I like the one with more buildings. I've re-made quite a few tiles, I've only remade Illium the most because it is one of the oldest. I think I do it because I'm not satisfied. At a glace the one with more buildings might look better but when you go in and look at the layout of the roads and buildings you see it isn't as good.

Hi sorry I've been AWOL this week been very busy and bit too tired for BATing. I didn't realise I hadn't posted a completed render of PWC Tower with the base, so here it is. I still need to do a bit more work on some of the textures though. Thanks for all the comments I'll hopefully have another update soon and some replies

Replies Schulmanator: Thank you! In the future I think I will publish more images of rural areas. urielgarcia: I am a keen observer of nature! XD Girafe: I am honored for your comment! I think it would not have been possible without your creations. dabadon5: Thanks! MilitantRadical: I'll make a confession. I am an agronomist. Maybe that is why I make rural areas so realistic. juliok92012: Ahahah! Thank you! krbe: Thank you! 47ply: Thank you! jmsepe: With this comment you have earned my respect! Thank you! Questa volta ho preferito far parlare le immagini. Grazie. tankmank: It may seem strange, but the cows on the road exist really! I have seen them! Hellken: Wow! WELCOME TO BIOPARCO OF PAPIRETO Today I present a new area of Papireto, the San Lorenzo district, located in the eastern suburbs of Papireto. San Lorenzo district is an area built in the late eighties in which is the “Bioparco of Papireto”, another attraction of the Macondo’s capital. Spring is here! What better opportunity to visit it? So, Welcome to Biopark of Papireto! Bioparco di Papireto houses more than 40 different animal species including Lions, Elephants, zebras, camels e dromedaries, monkeys, giraffes, the inevitable llamas, and many others. We take care of our animals housing them in fences of adequate size which are provided with vegetation that recalls the country of origin and with furnishings that allow to develop or maintain the habits of the species housed. Our animal friends have a specific diet and are periodically checked by our team of veterinarians. The bio-park has two entrances: Walking through the park you can meet: Bears Elephants Deer, moose and wildboar Monkeys and camel Zebras llamas and giraffes Lions Inside the park there is a natural oasis that can accommodate some species of birds like Macaw, Seagulls and some migratory birds. Qualified staff will make you ride our horses in the small ranch! It's also a dining area where you will also find attractions for your kids! Museum of Natural History and botanic garden Greetings from Bio-park! I expect you all!

Welcome back to Selbring. Demonstrating military prowess on the international scale since 1954. Tonraq Not really, I just have some odd sources Bastet69008 Lol, Thanks TekindusT Indeed it is when an army rampages through your own hometown MilitantRadical That's the spirit! But even if they're intimidating, they can't win. The Bad guys always lose, but in a way, you can never know in this story. tankmank Thanks, and here's the next part of the story. Btw; this 'weapon' is actually more like 'weapons' Schulmanator Yep, in Selbring, things are only really going to get worse, before it ever gets better; and that's a long waay off. agunter999 Thank you Schriefer I hope you don't mean the fact that they invaded an innocent town Thanks! Gugu3 Thanks KonstantinII It's already into a total Aristrocratic dominated government system with a hint of Corporate-Dictatorship. Vitor13 Thanks Neto Dari Yeah, never ends well in Selbring. Probably not what you thought would've happened either Thanks. Casper3141 In the words of the PyroCorp chairman 'Frederick Robertson'; "Freedom is Anarchy". Protesting is a part of that 'anarchy'; therefore they must be incarcerated for fueling that 'anarchy' Lord Branham Thanks a lot, it's a gift coolwiththecool2 The Selbrinian PyroCorp Military isn't one to disobey or fail at anything less than a simple formation. So expectations are high gigius76 Thanks spursrule14 Thanks ______________________________________ Note: So when you see this entry below, you'll see a poor rendition of the city of Atlanta, GA. In updates before, you've probably read that there is a place called the 'PyroCorp Land Claim', which is a pretty strict and formal description of what is also referred to by other names, both official and unofficial which may be mentioned in future. Within it lies Selbring County, and numerous other regions. The PCLC, you know see is located in the state of Georgia, stretching farther north of the state border and down south of the state. You know have rough idea of where Selbring is. Atlanta just happens to be another thrall urban center, under the command of PyroCorp. In this update, it will not look like an exact replication of Atlanta as for the following reasons: 1. Obviously b/c of the lack of BATs from Atlanta to complete the skyline. 2. This is in an alternate universe. The timelines in this story are radically changed, and technology from technophilic and innovative development-centric corporations have caused human sciences and tech to advance far beyond our current state at the expense of law abiding citizens, hence the large wealth gap and severe poverty. Plus, another mash up of BATs from Mass Effect:TMW, :3 Sorry for rambling on, let's just get to the update. ______________________________________ The Revolution. It continues to rage on, despite the minimal impacts it has had on the PyroCorp Aristocratic regime. But this isn't isolated to just Selbring. Like the world's major cities, within the PCLC, other cities are controlled and managed, from the main seat of the Vertigo District Headquaters. Smaller branches of the corporation head surveillance operations in these cities and towns, as part of the normal business they seem to do. Massing Air-Control Security Comm - This is Selbring Air-Control Security Channel 104, we're requesting an update on the status of three shuttles scheduled at this time to enter Atlantan Airspace. Atlanta Central Air-Control Security management Comm - We only have two shuttles logged on our systems. The crews reported that the third city-bound shuttle was downed 10 clicks south. Massing Air-Control Security Comm - We're sending in a dispatch team, noitfy PISA immediately and seal of the perimeter of the alleged crash-site. Back in Selbring County, one of its districts and wards remain quiet, being a derelict and abandoned zone, it provides a safe haven from higher authorities, inhabited by people who try to escape the watchful eyes of PISA. The Ahern Industrial Ward is one of Selbring's few abandoned districts, rarely watched by PISA and is virtually empty. The streets of the Ahern Industrial Ward are rarely driven through, and the buildings that dot the Ward almost lifeless and barren. Some haven't been used in decades, while some harbor off-the radar slums and rogue colonies. Abandoned almost 43 years ago, The Baxter Manufacturing Plant once manufactured automtive vehicles, until being shut down due to a crash in the holding company's finances. For many who based their businesses and livelihoods, both rich and poor, despair soon followed them, resulting in the abandonment of the Ahern Industrial Ward altogether. Now, the old Baxter Manufacturing Plant is home to yet another Selbrinian Underground faction, namely the Liberators, with a number of Red Flag members. Dylan (Red Flag) - We're coming in for a landing, clear the area. Bystander - You heard'em! Clear the area! Anna (Liberators) - What is this? Dylan - It's some sort of air-transport vehicle. Hyun - Then that's the weirdest plane I've ever seen. You think it's new tech they're dispatching? Dylan - It probably is, we got anyone that could see how this thing works? Anna (Liberators) - I'll call Carson out at Harkin, he might be able to get here and slip past the security. He's gonna have a field day trying to see what this things got under the hood, so to speak. [rest of resistance team deboard shuttle] Tyson (Red Flags) - Seems like that EMP gun worked better than Gerard expected. Tanya (Red Flags) - It shot this thing down easy, looks like the Pyro's really came through for us, haha. Dylan - This isn't over, we'll need to contact the Altanorch outpost. We've got some intercepted reports that might compromise our operation. To be continued... [The story in this udpate was written hastily, so sorry if it's a little fast]
