A direct competitor for SC 2013.  There is an implication in the trailer that this game has both on-line and off-line operation.

Has this product been released or is this just hype?

I love how theye advertise "play offline" :D

Looks promising, specialy considering its alpha, could this be the "real new simcity"?

Looks good, real good. They encourage modding right off the bat as well. I hope I can try this out once it is out.

Is this yet another reason to avoid SimCity 2013? :D

I can easily see myself spending countless hours on this game, especially with the encouragement on modding. This could rival SimCity 4 in the 'hours spent' department.

I'm hoping this does not suffer the same fate as Cities XL, but since it's from Paradox Interactive, this may live on for at least a decade.

Its interesting, hmm but it doesn't take me away of the fact that citybound which IMO think that's going to be a real superseder for SC4 if the community is into it. But I'll keep a look out into this.

I'm definitely looking forward to this game, especially since this is from the makers of CiM 2 which I loved playing!

This could be the Simcity 5 we have all been waiting for. It looks like it has regions like that of SC4, some decent transport options and it's offline.

Hopefully there is terraforming and the ability to create custom regions, combined with a not too buggy game experience, this could be great...

Edit: I like the textures to. The ground looks earthy, most of the buildings have a slightly grimy and worn appearance to them, plus visually it is the best looking 3D city simulator I have seen. The grimy and dirty textures of SC4 appear to have been emulated in this game.

I pray to god they have taken hints from SC on how to NOT make a city building game. Although i have really strong doubts this game will over come SC4 in my eyes, im quiet sure it will be way better than SC. Even their Cities in motion series, although its not even a city building game, ive spent loads of time just in map builder designing my own city. My hopes are high ^^
