  1. A WIP shot of the south Elmfield district. This area is almost finished and features the majestic Sir Robert and Lady Jefferson Gallery and Park  as well as the Perseus National Tennis Centre, a world championship venue and national tennis training facility.  First full update should be ready within the coming week or so.
  2. Yesterday I played more than usual and now I have a new pics of evolution and, also, new challenges. Let`s go for the general View: Bronx+Brooklin is a 90K sims city now. Last post I promised (myself lol), to experience:  1. If Plop between RHW and RCI, these shall connect. Yes. 2. If put a road perpendicular in the middle of a RHW or AVE it works like U turn. Yes for regular ave and 4-RHW. Anybody knows the rest? Pictures below: Below the three new neighborhoods:1. High-Tech/Low Pollution Manufacture, 2. Residential with great  access to education (workers R$$$) and 3. Golf Country Club Neighborhood. I also made some roundabouts and as the city grew I had to place more metro stations choosing carefully the plop points, nor it would take almost zero effect. Literally one church street and some train station/boulevards that, cause I`m using those to solution high transit rates. Some train station got up to 30K transit rates. And the last picture of the session below is the bus stop of the city that I live Curitiba! Then the challenge... So I made Subway<>RRW connections and those simply injected a lot of sims in the heart of downtown. Plus that, I did only one connection with neighbor city Manhattan, result of that -> thousands of trains comes up the city frontier straight to downtown,babe... lol...(big map redline (trains) the only connection) (In white big mass sims transit). And the solution that I propose... black lines RS6 RHW and red line a high speed train. Bough connects to Manhattan, that should be the solution.... well will see y next post with RHW intersections and connections, will give me a lot of work. See U around,

I didn't intend to take so long to get my second entry together, but I got lost in the woods. There's a lot of trees around here. Today I bring a quick update introducing three of the numerous small towns popping up among the hills south of Lake Garda. Anderson Anderson is a peaceful residential town situated in a valley between two hill ranges.  The road (Hwy 50) into the east side of town snakes its way up a cliff face along the first hill range. Heading east out of town, highway 50 leads to the budding metropolis of Washington, population 27. There is no industry in town. Only a few small farms. No sims were [knowingly] harmed in the capturing of these photos. Only missing, perhaps. Washington Washington is a farming town down in the plains closer to the shores of Lake Garda. It is also the location of the first Wawa to be built outside of the United States of America. Wawa is expanding to the nation of Garda because there's no street corners left for them to conquer in the eastern US. This is also the only gas station (and grocery outlet) along Hwy 50 between Anderson and Logan, the next town on our little tour, so they're well on their way to monopolizing another corner of the planet. And they give Mayor free hoagies! Don't mind the void at the top of the image. It's just a glitch in the Matrix. Logan The next town on our list is a little larger. Logan is the current industry and commercial hub of the region. It has great growth potential and attracts residents with it's riverside location. It is likely to become one of the central areas of development in the future. A closer look at the town's oldest neighborhood: South Logan, located just to the south of Logan (bet you never would have guessed that), is technically a separate town. But future development will almost certainly merge the two into a city, so it's included in this entry. South Logan is an interesting blend of rural country living with an urban vibe. This area has attracted several town home developments. That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by! There is much, much more to come in the future.

What is Red Bear Lands County? Red Bear County is not really based off any place in partiuclar. It's really just whatever I find acestically pleasing while mixing up New Englands glamourous forests, building and street layout styles and the Pacific North West's vibes. Established in 1844, it originally was home to the travellers traversing the vast lands, a tourist destination and a logging mecca. Tree's from this location were sent far and wide across the country well up until the 1904, when the area was declared an area of outstanding natural beauty, and de-forestation was forbidden. Even today, the forest is deemed prohibited to be used for logging, and only maintenance works can be carried out to prevent sweeping forest fires and to encourage new growth.  As the series goes on, I indeed to build and identify the major cities and towns within the county, but nothing is solid until it appears here, as I'm one to change things quite often. This is nothing too serious, just an output for my creations and the lore I make for it, and I hope you'll all enjoy. Concord Isle - A quick history Concord Isle, discovered in 1846, wasn't colonised until the very late 1880s, often due to the inability to get transport out to the Isle, and the un-traversable mixture of mud and loose stones and low tide. Eventually a port of entry was established on the lower eastern part of the Isle, today known as Concord Terminals, but it became apparent quickly that very little could be done with Isle. The tree's on the Isle were deemed as perfect to be sold on for construction materials, yet upon attempting to chop down the trees, due to the instability of the soil, many tree's would not fall the way they were cut, or were found simply to be resting upon other tree's, and a many number of deaths were attributed to these accidents.  By 1892, anyone attempting to use the tree's on the Isle for money gave up and had left, leaving piles of broken wood, uneven terrain and marshland. By the 1900s, the Isle had become a dumping site for rubbish, rocks and dirt, a kind of engorged trash pile. The addition of this led the Isle to become even more unstable, the waste and dirt mixing with the surrounding seawater to form a very slushy terrain.  The Isle remained relatively uninhabitated between the 1900s and 1950s, bar being used as a mass gravesite during the Spanish Flu. During a particularly violent storm which battered the Isle in 1952, which the Isle was known to receive the full force of such winter storms, the terrain lost a lot of it's structure, allowing rubbish, garbage and human remains to be released into the sea, a lot washing up in nearby ports and beaches. It was decided by the county government that Concord Isle was to be cleaned up and restored it it's former beauty, with additional opportunites for it to be settled and also be used as a tourist attraction. At the time, massive construction projects were underway in many of the cities in the county, as it was decided that the excess and waste dirt, clay and rocks were to be transported in a monumental effort to the Isle to re-enforce and stablise the terrain for Isle. The protect was a huge success, with new tree's, plants and animal species introduced to the Isle, by the early 1960s life had begun to breathe back into existance on Concord Isle. Concord Isle - Modern Day The original landing point of the exploation of the Isle in the 1800s has since been updated to accomodate both vehicular and passenger access. A vehicle ferry port sits just south to the original landing point, the two passenger ferry terminals sitting roughly in the original spot the wooden boat mooring piers were.  Vehicular traffic is heavily restricted to the Isle. Residents are allowed two vehicles per household on the Isle, whilst additional vehicles are heavily checked and counted in and out of the Isle at the two ferry ports. It's often found however, residents only have one car for travelling to the mainland, as the Isle has one of the best public transit networks in the county. Additionally, it's free for any permanent residents, of which a residence ID can be shown to access the transport for free. It's also seen that tourists and visitors to the Isle much prefer to travel to the Isle on foot due to the inexpensiveness of the public transport on the Isle.  Other forms of transport The Marina houses a very low number of boats, most being privately owned sailboats that dock there for short periods of time. It is closed between the end of September and the beginning of April due to the winter storms, with boat owners on the Isle ordered to remove the vessels from the Marina during those times.  Concord Isle has the highest number of fishing licenses registered to people per 10,000 compared to the rest of the county. 83% of households have fishing licenses, yet only 13% of residents have access to, own or can drive boats. This is mainly due to the ease of fishing in on the Isle. Many may gather to fish on Dead Beaver beach, tranverse the dense forests that surround much of the development on the Isle, or travel to the Marina or Terminals to fish there.  Bikes are often the main form of transport outside of public transport, as the Isle is so small, the average cyclist can travel the furtherest distance (east to west) in an average of 15-20 minutes, of course taking longer to go East and West as the West side is uphill from the East side. In a recent local government vote, 78% voted against the introduction of segregated cycle lanes; the main reason being with such low car and truck volume on the roads, cyclists were not threatened by them. Concord Isle Utilities Concord Isle has no power generation on the Isle. Instead power is transferred through a series of 3 underground cables into small power houses located along the east side of the Isle. Power is then distrbuted up and down the Isle by cables under the roads. In 1994, Concord Isle lost all communication and power for 12 days due to a off-course vessel running aground in the strait between the Isle and the Mainland. The contracted company that laid the pipes and were supposed to bury them to at least the depth of the water pipes were subsquently sued and filed bankruptcy soon after. Concord Isle also has no water treatment or water purification centres on the Isle, the water being pumped in and out through deep pipes (buried a lot further down than the power cables) to and from the mainland. Water pumps located along the east side of the Isle pumps the water in and the waste water and sewage out at high pressure 24 hours a day. The original 1964 water tower built for the Isle was converted in 1997 into a storage tank for fresh and clean water, in case the pipes were to become damaged under the sea, and could supply the Isle with water for up to 4 days, pending fixing or evacuation. North Commercial Area North Commercial Area is actually located on the West side of the Isle, in the middle of the Isle. Pending a name change, and often shorted to NCA, it's a main commercial district for the Isle. Until recently, the only commercial area on the Isle until old brown sites were re-developed to host varies restaurants and shops down by the ferry terminals. It was called NCA because when the area was first being developed, a faulty compass led the developed to actually be flipped 90 degrees, with the builders assuming West was North. The NCA houses the HQ's of Concord Isle's police department and Concord Isle's Fire Department, with many of the original family run businesses surrounding them. It is also home to the only library on the Isle, along with the main medical clinical that can accept a minor amount of emergency cases. Dead Beavers Beach On the North-East coastline lies Dead Beavers Beach, one of the only access points to the sea naturally, as the rest of the Isle is surrounded by steep cliffs and strewn rocks. Dead Beavers Beach is hot spot for fishing and beach activites for local families. Closed during the winter, large amounts of driftwood from Northern Isle and trees that have fallen into the sea from Concord Isle tend to wash up here.  The name comes from a ship that once washed up upon the shore, crew missing, during the 1950s whilst the Isle was undergoing it's new terrain improvement. Beavers that were in transit from the Northern States on their way for reclocation to a newer and more protected forests were found on the ship and around the ship upon discovery of the wreck. No Beaver's or animals died during this inicident.  Oakville Point Oakville Point is the newest development on the Isle. Built as recently as 2003, it allowed the building of an additional 60 houses onto the Isle, cutting into the Oakville forest that laid at the North of the island. The new development features one predominant street, stretching 30 houses to the north. Oakville Ave is surrounded by the original forest and steep cliffs on the edges of the Isle. A lot of the new residences enjoy living here as it gives the the feeling of isolation and quiet while only being a 10 minute walk from the shops. Summing up So that's Concord Isle. I hope you all enjoyed this, and I will endeavour to continue this with the level or detail and the lore that comes with it. See you all soon
  3. Well I'm back after 3 years.... or sorta  So basically from 2 months ago I was working on this city, Hagikaze after a short discussion in discord server about SC4 map of Hagi city, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. And then I'm thinking about doing something in SC4 new and I decide to use that map. The city name is Hagikaze which basically just modified from the original place name. I made the city itself kinda inspired by Sasebo, Nagasaki mixed with the original real life place as well (Hagi, Yamaguchi). On the other hand, right 6 years ago, I posted Update 5 of Nakahara and I decided to use the same date to post new update of Nakahara after hiatus for 3 years. Either way I'll jump into the update now. Hagikaze city (萩風市) is a city in western part of Asasaki Prefecture, Kyushu region, Nakahara. By 2019 it has population of 356,022 with the area of 453 Km square. It is the 2nd largest city of Asasaki Prefecture after the capital of Asasaki. Its a showering (時雨) day here since it is rainy season (梅雨) on Nakahara. Hagikaze Castle, the landmark of the city, built on 16th century. Shizuki-yama north of Hagikaze castle. Area of Furuwara, the old town of Hagikaze south of the castle Overview of Northwestern Hagikaze featuring Furuwara and Shizuki-yama. Hagikishi area. featuring bank of Noshiro River. Hagikaze was part of Amabe Province, Nakahara by the old province divisions of Nakahara. by 1863 it has population of 30,000. it grow as the traditional fishing village surrounding Hagikaze castle. In 1884 Nakahara government decided to build port in Hagikaze for its protected, deep-water harbor, and proximity to the mainland. In 1889 Hagikaze Naval Base opened in the northern part of city with the Naval Arsenal and Repair Facility which accelerate the growth of Hagikaze. Hagikaze city as municipality itself formed later in 1904. Hagikaze port in northern part of city. it's located just south of the Naval Base and Shipyard. Yuihama area of Hagikaze traditionally part of the old Hagikaze fishing village.  Western part of Yuihama Hagikaze cruise and ferry terminal serving travel between islands in northern part of Asasaki Prefectures and surrounding Hagikaze Station of NR Hagikaze Line and Matsukawa Line, located in the western-central of city. Nagao-cho area of Central Hagikaze (west of Hagikaze Station) Shimokyomachi, Central Hagikaze Area of Kitanishizumi-cho, Central Hagikaze bordering Furuwara to the north Area of Shiraki-cho Kamoi Station of NR Noshiro Line, southern central Hagikaze Kamoi-kita area of Southern central Hagikaze Nishi-Kyushu Expressway connect Hagikaze and rest of Kyushu and Matsukawa in western Asasaki Prefecture passed the central Hagikaze from east to west.

Sunrise Beach is a small commercial district on the waterway to Downtown Celeste.  The scene here is beautiful. Every morning in summer, people can see the sun rising from the snow mountain. The sunlight is gradually falling on sea surface and turn it golden.  The Louvre statue plaza was made by Raymond7cn. Thank you for bringing us such exquisite works. It’s also beautiful at nighttime.   Finally, this is a preview of what i’ll post later on.
  5. A TWELFTH ANNIVERSARY, A NEW DECADE, AND AN ALL-NIGHTTIME UPDATE ------------------------------------------------------------- TheCrybKeeper: Thank you very much. I intend to continue this journal for the foreseeable future, as long as I have new material to post. That'll certainly be a long time. Goosmoose42: I'm truly touched by your reply, and the fact that the first journal you visited in your nostalgia trip was mine. Yes, I am indeed still here after eleven (and by now) twelve years. TheCrybKeeper: I'm so glad I've set such an example for others, and I hope you'll put your stimulus check to good use . TheCrybKeeper: Too bad . Adamu08: Thank you . It's not exactly desert terrain; it's the game's default terrain texture for high altitudes, which indeed does look desert-ish. If you look closely at the region maps you can see a cliff separating the high-altitude eastern areas from the low-altitude western areas. ------------------------------------------------------------- Well, after a burst of two updates last year for the eleventh anniversary my interest once again faded, only to reignite as the twelfth anniversary this year approached. This is a special anniversary because it is the first one to occur in a brand new decade, the decade of the 2020s. This means that this city journal, Franklin County, has now spanned three decades, the 2000s, the 2010s, and the 2020s. Heady stuff, isn't it? I have accomplished some freeway and urban reconstruction in Hanging Cliff in my latest bout of gameplay, but this year I thought I'd do something different, something I haven't done in a long time if not ever: an anniversary featuring exclusively night screenshots. For our anniversary of darkness we will start with River Bend. Located directly south of North River, River Bend's left bank has now experienced spillover urban development, consistent with my master plan to extend urbanity in a flush corridor clear through Hanging Cliff, connecting North River, Hanging Cliff, and Franklin proper. Below is a nighttime view of the heart of urban River Bend, showing both banks of the river. Notice the left side of the picture (the right bank of the river) was shown in previous updates. The next picture is a view, with west at the top, looking from the left bank over to the right bank, toward the old downtown of River Bend. Notice that the older development on the other side of the bank is much lower density, a stark contrast to the very urban skyline on the nearer bank. The different colors of the buildings give the lower half of the picture a very nice look. Moving over to the north (west is at the top in this picture) we see a somewhat sleepier-looking but still quite tall and pretty skyline. Zooming in, we can see a very urban and modern-looking view; check out how fresh and new those buildings look. I wonder what all those sims are doing in those offices while gazing out over to the opposite bank's skyline and the boats on the river... Moving southward, this time with east at the top of the picture, we see a transitional zone of more mid-rise density. Panning southward (east is at the top) toward the freeway we see perhaps the most beautiful section of the left bank of River Bend, featuring multiple circular buildings all lit up in yellowish tones, among many other urban sights and sensations. An eagle-eyed observer might notice a new roundabout interchange toward the right designed to service this burgeoning section of Franklin County. Last but not least we have a view of the same area with south at the top, showing the area south of the freeway. Notice the neighborhood developing toward the south. Well, that's all for now. I hope you enjoyed the twelfth anniversary update, and I invite all of you viewing this journal to leave your comments, suggestions, and questions. They're more appreciated than you know.
  6. Dalta, the capital city of the Kingdom of Dalta.  The Danburg CBD during a night. A high rise commercial and luxurious district where are settled main companies in the country. Besides, the main avenues that divides the city in north, south, east and west are intersected here. Here also its the headquarters of the Dalta stock exchange, and the Sampson Mall Complex.  Near Danburg CBD, are the Victory Square, with the Royal Spice Market, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Hope, and City hall. King Samuel Urban Garden, a park located near Danburg CBD. Its a good place to rest from the stressful workplace. Near there are also residential skyscrapers of middle high class. Parliament building near Senube river.
  7. "Eternity... it HURTS!! It really.. hurts.." After creating 84 million copies of himself to fight a war that has persisted for around 10,000 years, the weapon known as Emil has finally come to rest, settling deep within the valley. Pictured above were the last clones that were found scattered all over the world, or so we're told. Before the original Emil asked Them to dispose of all his clones, They were able to gather more info on how the world was like before our extinction, as Emil was the only one who survived through the invasion that ultimately led to our extinction. They said his memory was a bit fuzzy, though the information They were able to retrieve was of great value as They now have clues on where to look for more information of the Old Humanity. In honour of Emil's sacrifices to protect the world that his friend tried to save, we decided to build a small park for him where his final remains can rest peacefully for the coming millennia. In constructing the park, we decided to grace it with the seed of a rare tree specimen that They found and gifted to us. This tree grows taller than most of the trees in the valley and grows leaves of a beautiful red colour.  "The war is over. You may now rest in peace, for as long as you like. You're safe now, here in this town, here in this valley."
  8. Prydwen International Airport (Pre & During COVID19)   Prydwen International Airport is the main entry into Caledonia. Other airports are currently being built throughout the islands of Caledonia. As the Coronavirus crisis ravages the world, most people could definitely say that Aviation is one of the most affected industries. Air travel is down throughout the world. Passenger flights are only limited to repatriation flights while cargo planes are freely roaming the skies.  I know Lufthansa is a real airline, but I chose it as the flag carrier of Caledonia since it's my favorite airline  Prydwen International Airport (Pre COVID19) (Pre COVID19) Terminal 2 is the hub of Lufthansa All International flights in and out of Caledonia are temporarily banned. All Lufthansa aircraft are temporarily grounded until further notice. Some aircraft will only be used for transporting cargo or repatriation flights. (During COVID19)  (During COVID19)  (Pre COVID19) (During COVID19) (Pre COVID19) The other side is empty because it's reserved for repatriation flights, while the other side is for the parked Lufthansa planes. (During COVID19) Parked Airbus A330's of Lufthansa. (During COVID19) Parked Boeing 747-8i's of Lufthansa. (During COVID19) Parked Airbus A380's of Lufthansa. (During COVID19) (Pre COVID19) (During COVID19) As the terminal side became congested, the other Lufthansa planes were parked at the Taxiway Aerial View "Our home is the sky, and we'll return to it when you are ready to leave yours." - Etihad (2020) Stay safe to all people out there!

Ciao Raga. Your comments, my responses:
    01 - Senza Nome
lit. "No Name". I want to present it as a clean slate from my old work as a Japanese SimCity 4 journal, hence its title, in Italian. @SimEmirate - You are welcome! Good luck on your new project and I really hope you post that here in Simtropolis.
@tomz16 - (Hey! We actually got an Italian audience member [PS I'm not Italian so I could not reply to your first comment but thanks for the second one].) Grazie! I was already looking at some towns and cities south of Naples, and I got about 1 name from your method. It will be on the poll. I haven't seen anyone attempt a coastal Italian City due to the lack of good Italian Assets. It's almost pretty hard to achieve but I'm glad it's doable.
@Krasner - I swear that I will not disappoint you or anyone with this attempt.
@Belfastsocrates - Thanks! Enjoy this new update this time around, I've increased the heat a little bit.
@nilepereiraa - Good try, but no (Seriously trying to prevent a Boaty McBoatface situation )   Please vote on the poll! We will reveal the name of the city a week from now. Before we move on to the update, I would like to thank everyone that sent me suggestions for this city. I've chosen 4 that were sent by readers during the past week. Now, it's your time to vote on the name of the city. After this, we will ramp up with the updates (possibly even going for video updates as we progress with the build). For now, we would stay in the classic update format. I also feel like I should add a story format to the entry. I was reading up on previous comments on the old journal that people are expecting me to write a good story. Please enjoy Storytime... And remember when I said maybe I should add an Italian rapper? Welp.
---       "We used to hang out in Giardino dei Semplici." A man said while looking at the television camera. I had the chance to interview him for a piece on the recent tourism boom of the city. I was not expecting such a negative response from him especially he's one of the city's most well known individuals.

"It was open back then and you can just walk over with friends to hang out and play games with them. There were not a lot of tourists back then trying to take a selfie from the garden. It was run down, with the protective fence broken in several spots; every evening it's a known hotbed of drug dealings and violence. The term "meet me at the fontana" had been synonymous with organized crime." The man, who introduced himself as Matteo, shrugged, appearing to turn away from the camera.  "As children, we never knew what we were doing back then. I know that some of my friends probably have links to organized crime but they were still my friends. We were the "Blocco Boys" of the city. It was quite wild but it was probably the most enjoyable moment of my life. I knew us Blocco Boys recently got popular, as one of us became a big time artist. As for me, I got a position as a manager of a clothing store near the park. The giardino is quite different than what I had remembered." Matteo took the television crew towards the window of his room and let them look towards the garden. "I don't know what I think of this. My children could not even enter the park without paying for the amenities. After a television show-- not from you guys-- made it into a scene of a really popular drama, tourists started flocking the once run-down garden. Of course the city had to act up and renovate everything in the garden." Matteo looked perplexed or, according to my producer, infastidire. "I think the price to enter now was about 3 to 4 Euros now? I don't think my children would feel like being the "Blocco Boys" when there's some American tourist breathing down your neck. The city has a problem with tourists ever since the cruise terminal was built from the once run-down harbour. Along with it investments came in and the city got a little cleaner physically. However, It was not clean in the moral sense as there is an ongoing problem of intrusions and laundering from organized crime syndicates. Politicians remain corrupt and tourists were unknowingly funding a lot of illegal schemes. The park was one of them. After the rise of out of all things, a drama called "Park Boys" on Netflix as the man mentioned, tourists began to visit the park as it was the place where most of the scenes were shot. The old castello is situated nearby so it provided some spectacular scenes, especially at one time when the Capomandamento personally killed an up-and-coming rival, though no crimes other than the usual pick-pocketing happened at the park. The park remains to be a pick-pocketing haven for the wannabe "Blocco Boys" who seemed intent on following the now famous rapper's upbringings, though Matteo seemed to be unimpressed with the current slate mingling with the tourists.  Matteo invited the crew to explore the neighbourhood. He walked us towards the garden's side gate, which was locked. But he pointed out where the original "Blocco Boys" used to hang out. The park has not been keeping up with graffiti recently, so this side of the park had been vandalized slightly.  The crew went up the stairs and into the infamous fontana, which was surprisingly quiet today. Given, there are also no cruise ships in the port today, so it's the perfect opportunity for locals to check out the park. Matteo stopped us in front of the fountain. "Looks like the park staff never even bothered with trimming the flowers today. Nevertheless, this part of the park quite resembles Eden. The city had some good idea to turn it into a botanical garden complete with exotic trees that even I had no idea what it was."  The park has a very dystopian feel. It's a good take on a classical garden, but breaks it by adding random plants.  The garden definitely needed some cleanup. I'm not even sure if I can call this garden a paradise or hell. Even grass is growing out of place in the garden. The crew crossed the street and into one of the city's main squares. This is Piazza Santa Rosalia. The church was recently power washed so it looked out of place. Matteo bid farewell to the camera crew and towards his shop right across the piazza. Maybe another day we will have another chance to walk around town with him, but that's it for the first day of our documentary shooting. In the evening, the garden looks even more spectacular. Too bad it also magnifies pick-pocketing at this place.  Alright. That's it for today. Leave a comment below.   Grazie Raga. Arrivederci.

It's my first post on Simtropolis. I'm trying to imitate the US style by using different densities. Flaws maybe, so all advice and suggestions are welcomed to make my works better. Enjoy!

Welcome to Richmond, population 240,000. It is the fourth-largest city of my fictional country, Jarraban (a member of the Alliance of Independent Nations), and also the biggest inland city. The capital of Diamantina province, it was the centre of the country's gold rush during the mid 19th century and boasts many historic buildings. This, along with the large number of wineries and tourist attractions nearby, give the city a unique charm. More snippets of Jarraban can be found on its wiki page here and throughout the AIN's forums. Been a while since I've done any extensive city-building, so might be a little rusty. Hope you enjoy anyway!

  12. For those new to this CJ, it is highly recommended to read the updates before this one for context. I apologize for the long wait, I will try to update much more frequently.   Back in Woodland Town, the mayor's wife, kids and just about everyone are still unaware of what's happening. The fire has taken out the only radio station in River City and lack of power has left the whole town in the dark.   As seen in the image, a police helicopter and several others fly above the roaring inferno below. Meanwhile, the intense heat causes multiple buildings to combust, threatening West-Field Headquarters and several small homes. Firefighters frantically try to contain the flames and prevent the flames from reaching the other side of the road.  Meanwhile, a helicopter from Coibridge medical center arrives at the fire, with a crew of 5 people are in it, along with a rescue basket.      Under the smoke, I stand below with a severely injured Mayor Matthew surrounded by an ever-growing inferno Matthew laid motionless next to the burning building after the explosion threw him towards it. I drag him to the center of the road where it's at least safer, while everything else burns around us. He's still breathing and is barely awake. Matthew looks at me. "Leave me here" He said, "Save yourself and family. This town is going to burn down. I failed as a mayor." "I can't do that, buddy. I'll never do that to you." Your town is a great town, and you saved many lives." I told him "Trust me it'll be saved." I notice the road I came from is now blocked by a wall of flames. I literally have nowhere else to go. "Mayor," Said Matt, "I just wanted you to help the firefighters, not run in here." I'm not sure at this point how long I've been here, but with the adrenaline I can't tell how thirsty I am or the amount of heat around me. I start thinking about Christina and Jeffrey (my kids) and wife I left at my town, wondering if I'll ever see them again. I thought about Ben (business partner), I thought about my town, that we founded, the town that Matt has given electricity for to all those years nearly for free. I look at Matt, he's done so much as mayor, person, and Friend. I really don't want to lose him. With no communication outside, it's possible the town has burned by now. Hopefully not. Matt looks at me again (grunts) "Leaves me here," He said, "Coal plant is going to explode..." "I won't. I'll stay with you." I said I look at the coal plant. The thought of going inside to turn off the switch crosses my mind until I see the massive flames coming out of the only entrance. Taking the road I came from the other side is impossible, since it's a complete inferno. We're in a quickly shrinking space where we're safe. Suddenly I start to hear helicopter blades Moments later my radio-phone comes back alive  "Mayor?" I heard following static "This is Kevin, Officer Lane sent us here to extract you! W're sending in a basket!" Normally a crew member would come down in the basket but there's only room for two people and two separate rescues is far too risky. Never mind the fact that Matt can't move on his own to get on the basket himself. (Radio) Lane: "Hey this is Lane, they're gonna try and get you out of there! How's Matthew hanging right now?" "I don't know," I replied, "He's barely alive now."    "I feel cold," Matt barely utters as he's slipping in and out of consciousness. "Don't worry Matt," I said to him, "we're gonna make it out of here. Everything's gonna be okay now." I said to him.  (Radio) Pilot: "We'll get you both out of there but we need your help, when you see the basket below tell me. "Will do Kevin," I said  Carey Co-Pilot: "Just so you know, we have one shot at this, if that basket hits the flames, you're both good as screwed." (Background) We're going at it blind! It's such a narrow spot. I notice a lot of smoke coming out of the building next to me. Walls of flames are closing in on us. "Hurry up!" I yelled Kevin (Pilot): "We're dropping it now!"  After a few short moments I see the basket coming down through the smoke, and straight into the burning power plant! "Stop!! It's too far to the right!! Go left go left!" I yelled "Roger, is that my left or your left?" "My Right!" Through the static I can hear the crew yelling at each other: (background) What the (bleep) are you doing?! You're gonna kill us (static)  The basket moves further from me and closer to the flames  " The other left!" I yelled. "North." I turn to Matthew who's awake. He noticed the basket "North?" I asked "This road goes west, if I recall, and the train station is east; Tell them north." Kevin apparently overheard him "Is that Matt? What did he say?" Asked Kevin "Go just a little bit north!" I said  "The basket moves towards me." "You got it, a little more north!" I said The basket is now directly on top of me "How's about now mayor?" "That works! Now lower it down!" The basket lands just next to me, a little bit charred from the flames. "We're getting on now" I said into the radio "I'll never be able to repay you" Matt said "What do you mean?" I asked as I carry Matthew into the basket. "You risked everything just to save me. You're a true friend. Thank you." "You don't owe me anything, Matt." "I'll repay you any way I can, no matter what" Matt insisted "Alright pull it up." I say into the radio. The platform lifts us up towards the smoke above. "Ow, ow oh man this hurts." Matt groaned in pain. Radio) Pilot: "We're pulling you up, you're gonna have to hold your breath for a minute or two" As they begin to pull us up, Matt opens his eyes again and looks at me. "Are you okay?" I asked him  "Haha," he weakly chuckles in a croaky voice, "yeah man, everything's okay." I never felt better." (coughs and groans in pain). "It's all over. Thank you Mayor, for everything." He said as he started to slip away "Matt no no no come on stay with me" I try to take his mind off the pain. "Think of something peaceful, something beautiful. Anything else." "I just want it to rain again." *He pauses as he struggles to breathe a little.* "Yeah, we could really use it now eh?" I said, chuckling a bit. "It would put out this fire." "Yeah (chuckling) it sure would. Thing is, (he pauses for a moment) I just love rain, always did." He said as he closed his eyes. We approach the smoke. They continue to hoist us up, towards the thick smoke above us. As they pull us up, I look down to where I was just standing:   Just moments after we're lifted, the buildings along the dirt street flash-over, turning the area I was just standing on into a burning inferno. My radio turns off. Batteries ran out. My eyes start watering like crazy from the smoke. I feel an urge to cough but try to hold it back. I hold my breath and put my face in my shirt as we rise through the smoke. I put Matt's shirt over his face to protect him too. I can feel the wind around me, as the air becomes much cooler. I have never seen this much smoke in my life. I see the helicopter through the smoke... Kevin (Pilot): "We got them!! Okay let's get out of here!" The six man crew cheers as we enter the helicopter. Carey (Co-Pilot): "Now get us out of here!" "For a moment I feel happy, knowing I'll get to see my wife and kids again and hopefully even see my town grow.   However, my relief is short lived as reality crashes back down on me. I turn to Matthew, and notice just how hurt he is. Burns everywhere and even his shirt and pants are half torn. Medic: "This is not good, he's got some serious third degree burns to his back, and multiple fractures.  Another Medic: "He's lost a lot of blood!" They start giving him fluids as we fly to Coibridge. Officer Lane: "Out-freaking-standing men! I never seen a rescue like that in my 30 years of law enforcement." One of the medics call Coibridge medical center to be ready to take us in... Medic: "He's got broken hips, his left lung completely collapsed." One of his monitors start to beep His blood pressure is dropping fast.  Carey (Co-Pilot): "Guys, he's dying. We need to go to Coibridge Trauma Unit!"  "Don't worry, he'll make it." I said, he's one tough fighter Officer Lane: "Again, unbelievable job right there, thank you very much!"  To my relief I see most of the town is still there as it was before. The north-eastward winds have prevented the fire from spreading to the rest of the town and homes. The rest of the industrial area, however, is now a raging inferno.
Firefighters from every city are now responding.
"We were in an eternal commute loop but Lane closed off one of the roads so we were able to make it!" remarked one of the firemen from the other town "We're getting aerial relief Fire planes are coming from Woodland town to control the flames and prevent further spread. The only main concern now is preventing the fire from spreading over the river or across the street." Said another fireman Fire-boats arrive on the scene to control the raging inferno, presumably from Pleasant view. Equipped with very powerful pressurized water cannons that hook up directly to the water below. After a while we start to see the first signs of progress is now made towards getting the inferno under control. Unfortunately, the West-Field Office is now fully engulfed along with the rest of the complex. Click on the image to see it full screen. There's so much going on that a quick glance simply doesn't do it justice. We start flying to Coibridge. The light blue line shows our helicopter path, and the orange circle is the fire with dark shaded being the smoke. .   We finally arrive at the hospital, with crews around the helipad already waiting for us They immediately rush Matthew on the stretcher down to the trauma ward... Doctor: "He needs life support fast!" "Alright mayor come this way, we'll take him in!" said one of the trauma surgeons The security guard takes me to the waiting room, which is surprisingly empty.  "The fire blocked the only ways we can get here. We can only take people by helicopter." Said the security guard. As I walk into the lobby, I notice some TV's, all with the news showing the scenes back in River City. I notice a familiar man sitting watching the news It's the mayor of Coibridge!" He gets up and shakes my hand. Mayor Gene: "I hear you're the mayor.." "Yes sir I am" I replied "My respect to you Mayor," He said, "rushing in there and saving your neighbor, the way you ran down the road into the fire." "Look I think they almost got the fire out!" remarked Gene as he pointed at a TV screen  I turn my head and look at the TV: Breaking News: This was the worst accident this whole region has ever seen!" (Real life stock image is the closest to what it actually looked like in the waiting room) "Chief officer Lane told me he's never seen firefighters busting their butts like this. They're the best he's ever seen." Said Gene "I can't believe you two were in the middle of that! How was it like in there?" Asked Gene, amazed as he stared at the screen above. "Hot." I replied.  "Ah," he said. Moments later, the doctor walks in the lobby, with the helicopter pilot, co-pilot, a security guard, a woman, and two more people, presumably friends of Matthew "Mayor?" Doctor asks "This is Matthew's Wife Pamela, and some friends." He said, (Pamela looked very concerned).  said as I shake their hands. "We brought them here, they wanted to see Matthew and also thank you for saving him." "Speaking of Matt, how's he doing in there?" I asked (He lets out a sigh and shakes his head) "I really wish I had better news. He's currently undergoing an emergency procedure. We're doing everything we can to save him." He said This has to be the worst disaster since the Woodland tornado. Already 6 dead in this and counting." Said Gene "Matt saved a great deal of people, he managed to get a whole group of workers out of there. He always knew his city inside out." I said  "Yeah, not sure how good of a mayor he was but I heard he saved some lives." Said the doctor "So is this guy!" Gene said as he pointed at me Gotta give him credit, Matt wouldn't be here right now if this he (referring to me) didn't run into that fire like a headless chicken, and risk everything. Plus Kevin and his crew , gotta give them a lot of props for getting them out of there! Gene said to the two helicopter pilots. "Yeah I saw it on the news, it was one insane rescue effort," remarked the doctor  "They've both be certainly dead," pilot remarked, "the whole place just blew up." "Chief Officer Lane is going to address the citizens in the morning at Woodland Town to inform them what happened. They're gonna be without power for weeks, even months." Said Gene.
"I have to hook up the power lines while we rebuild the power plants. They're all gone back there." Disasters like this often bring out the best in people. We had a lot of heroes tonight!" Said the doctor, as he's called back into the operating room   ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Officer lane: "You're all doing great!" Chief Firefighter: "Come on!!" Water puddles line the streets from the water. After the constant battle, the flames are finally starting to die down. The fire boats and their powerful water cannons help quell the flames.  The once bright orange glow of the inferno fades away and give way to the darkness of night, with only the red siren lights of the emergency vehicles.  Firemen begin to walk into the burnt buildings and look for anything they can find. The city is saved, but it isn't until sunrise that we can determine the full extent of the damage.

Thank you for reading, please leave a comment down below, it is greatly appreciated! I will make the next update much sooner than last time
  13. South Draperville update The votes are in: the Councillor with the most votes from the last update (in which we pondered the best way to revitalize South Draperville) is Counciller Mcgrath, who suggested that the disused factories be demolished and replaced with an art gallery complex. The new art gallery complex  The South Draperville train station area BEFORE (the area to b demolished in outlined in red):   ...and the area AFTER, with the brand spanking new ESTHER GREENWOOD ART GALLERY AND MODERN HISTORY MUSEUM:  Do you think it's an improvement? Condos in the new buildings are already selling for between 600k and 800k, mostly by real estate speculators. Will the improvement last? Only time will tell. TEASER Before I post my next update in the coming days (in which you will all be asked to vote on the proposal to improve Draperville's train lines), here are some random teaser shots. Here is a shot of the inner city area of Drapervillle, with prominent locations labelled for your knowledge:   A random inner suburb shot, just a few miles outside the downtown: ...and some random shots of commuter train stations in greater Draperville, which will b the focus on the next update. Oh dear readers! In the mood for another report? Hope so, as this one cames along a line never explorated due to the inevitable (and so complicated) technical issues,
anyway, nothing that some patience, planning and action can't deal with. As for today de SMNT (a.k.a. Saint Maj North Transport) presents us the second deal around
it's anual report with never seen images and analysis: our dear Capital sorts out into the eye of our SMNT. What would it be? We'll we hope you can't guess. Tarrë, the capital city of our nation has just reached the one hundred and sixty habitants mark, solely in it's core, as the western and southeast districts (Kar Herne &
Renet, respectively) show an important growth. Today we leave you once more with the CEO of the SMNT, our ex-senator Mr. Hillcrest: "Dear Tarrëans, just this section of this analytics program we've just launched five years ago has turn out to be a core for the next years towards our capital plans. We've
conceiled the information in three main maps: avenue map, TRAMsit map and IntraUrban Rail Map. The first one reveals the enormous growth of the city, filled with main
avenues as best as the space permits, all along you may notice, the city almost ate everything and with its compactness, it won't allow new avenues, so the solution in
results in a double lane road as in the downtown Tarrë. The TRAMsit map just overlaps the first and its importance allocates (as the IntraUrban Rail map) in its integration with the avenue and road systems. The compactness
of the city as you may think leaves us with so little space to develop that commplicated infrastructure. With the TRAMsit the solution tends to be towards its specilization,
by which I mean, the street working only for trams. The issue with the IUR (a.k.a IntraUrban Rail) is it's obvious necessity of space. Our engineers manage years ago to
develop the main line with excessive possibilities as the city wasn't spread, but as the city grew that space shrinks. The result is a compact and almost completely underground
system with only nine stations, including the main two: the renamed Saint Maj Central (C, in the map) and the Abyss Station, just in front, receiving western lines (2, in the
map). You may notice that the main purpose of the rail was to connect the western industrial zone to the downtown, as for today that necessity is the main as the inter-
urban rail connections to other cities.

Anyhow, this is just a bit of the complex transport system we are guardians of. Take care, and hope for the best." Mr. Hilcrest. Head of the SMNT Conseil.

Kannapolis sits as the states economic powerhouse logistically centered within the region. Although Kannapolis boasts a diverse transportation system, it was deemed necessary to install a network of highways of which would allow the transportation of products, goods and commuters within and around its metro. The video below shows what I have completed so far.

Cresset River, centrally located in the region of Tuentia, is the area’s largest city. This was the first city I created in this region (and my first time returning to SC4 after a few years away), so unlike many other cities in this region, it didn’t have much of a plan and has expanded pretty organically. At this point I've filled a little over half of the available space, and most neighborhoods and suburbs are established except for areas in the north and southeast. Clockwise from top right: downtown; new development across the river from downtown; the university; and the west side. Geography Cresset River lies on both banks of a large navigable river of the same name. The river flows east to west in this area, and downtown is centered in a large bend of the river, with various neighborhoods to the east, west, and south. Blue Mountain River, a major tributary from the north, runs through the city just west of downtown before joining the Cresset. Their confluence is at the center of a triangular area between three major neighborhoods: downtown, the west side, and the university district. Just to the east, south of downtown, is a large island in the Cresset. Further upstream on the east side of the river bend is another small island with a lighthouse, an industrial harbor across from downtown, and a small lake that drains into the river. Parks, residential towers, and forests line the riverbanks in the central and western parts of the city, while to the east and south the waterfront tends to be more industrial. The rivers remain undeveloped further away from downtown areas.
Physical map of Cresset River's landforms and water Most of the city, especially downtown, is quite flat, though the tree-lined riverbanks are rather high. The West Side neighborhood features several gentle slopes and small hills, and larger hills line the edges of the city in the southwest and southeast, and near the university. Several ponds and small lakes are situated among the low-lying suburbs in the northeast. Other than some minimal farmland to the northeast and southwest and deeper forests in the west and southeast, most of the land outside the urban areas is rather open. Neighborhoods The following map identifies the city's major neighborhoods:
Zones and neighborhoods of Cresset River. Numbers on the map correspond to the descriptions below. Downtown (1) is the government and corporate hub of the Region of Tuentia. It hosts the city's passenger rail terminal and light rail/subway hub and a convention center. It's surrounded on three sides by the Cresset River itself. The city's largest urban park is along the west side of downtown, on the banks of the Cresset where it meets Blue Mountain River. Between the commercial core and this park is a large neighborhood of apartments and condos. Just north of downtown is Midtown, a smaller commercial district at city's historical crossroads, surrounded by quieter residential neighborhoods. The West Side (2) is Cresset River's "second downtown", featuring midrise offices and shops and rowhouses on the right bank of the Cresset, across Blue Mountain River from Midtown. The West Side sits a little higher on the river, and many of the city's tallest apartment towers are found in an arc along these banks tracing the south and east edges of the neighborhood. The interior of the West Side has parks and single-family homes following gentle hills atop some of the highest elevations of the city's urban area. The University (3) neighborhood in the southwest is anchored by Cresset College, the region's oldest and largest liberal arts institution. Several blocks of offices are found along the main avenues here, established by alma mater of the university. An eclectic mix of working-class families and creative professionals live in close quarters here. Park Avenue in the northwest winds among the houses and apartments, offering restaurants and nightlife to the young residents. Closer to the river, facing downtown, is a minor league stadium and some shopping districts, and further southeast are some newer townhouse developments following an arterial toward the airport. East River City (4) is a grittier urban area northeast of downtown. Its development follows a more regular grid pattern, with a long line of strip malls and other services following the central avenue. A variety of rowhouses and larger apartment blocks are mixed in among single-family homes. The city's first light rail line was established here, terminating at the east end of this district in a new office park development. Several industrial areas and an airport and harbor are marked with (5) on the map. The airport, due south of downtown, is linked via a short subway line to the downtown rail terminal. Uptown (6) is a growing neighborhood between Midtown and East River City on the west shore of the small lake. The light rail line to East River City passes though Uptown, briefly at-grade as a street tram among a cluster of riverfront apartments. More homes and apartments are built here every year, as families favor its proximity to jobs and schools, and new construction is eased by several open spaces formerly owned, but never used, by industrial interests. River Island (7) is split in two by a bridge linking downtown to the southern parts of the city (the bridge passes above the island with no direct access). On the west side of the bridge is an old industrial area, and the east side has some newer, expensive condos and townhouses. The Southeast (8) district is rapidly growing, fueled by the airport and a new industrial park on one side, and the new riverfront stadium on the other. Through the middle, a highway and elevated rail line are under construction. A large cluster of cranes can be seen across the river from downtown where a mix of apartment towers are being built. West Cresset River (9), beyond the West Side, was once a separate town. While it has retained a small downtown core, it is now linked to rest of the urban area. Its population is steadily growing with expanded suburban development. Transportation The two rivers separate the city into several disjoint neighborhood grid systems. Some grids are more structured than others as they were laid out independently and at different times in the city’s history. Eight major road bridges and four rail bridges link these neighborhoods; most of these bridges handle heavy traffic loads. The two islands are also linked to the mainland via smaller bridges. An extensive bus system serves all of the urban areas of the city. The only limited-access highway that crosses the entire city is found along the north side with a spur that ends near Downtown, and another smaller spur connecting to East River City. A new highway is under construction in the south and should eventually form a partial beltway.
Clockwise from top right: The city is known for its bridges; highways and heavy rail bypass the city on the north; freight lines and highways near the airport; the passenger rail/highway/Purple Line commuter hub in the northwest; the airport with its light rail link to downtown and future high speed rail right-of-way; the Blue Line passes at street level through Uptown. The city was established along rail lines and in its early years its growth was linked to these railroads. Thus, passenger and freight lines run straight through Downtown, the West Side, and the University area. Chemnitz Station, the region's largest passenger rail terminal, is found in the center of Downtown. There are also commuter stations in Midtown, the West Side, near the airport, and in East River City. Travelers can connect to Raquette Falls and Port Blake from Chemnitz Station with a number of intermediate stops in suburbs and riverside towns. A proposed high-speed rail would provide a direct link between these three cities; the airport's light rail/bus terminal would be expanded to connect directly with the HSR line. As the urban area spread and the economy evolved, freight traffic was eventually diverted around the city center to lines along the north and south edges of the area. A small passenger ferry network allows pedestrians to cross between the various neighborhoods. Many dockworkers commute via ferry to the harbor and River Island districts.
Clockwise from top right: the Blue Line's terminus is a passenger hub in the East River City office park; the harbor connects to downtown via ferry and rail; the Blue Line's elevated rail along the warehouses near downtown; the busy commuter station in the West Side. The city has a long-term comprehensive plan for subway and light rail transit, anticipating at least five primary lines. One line is complete: the Blue Line, starting at Chemnitz Station as a subway, then following the east edge of downtown via road-top elevated rail, crossing Uptown as a street tram, running the length of East River City on separate right-of-way, linking to East River's commuter rail station, and terminating at the office park on the edge of the city. The partially-completed Purple Line runs as a subway and street tram from Chemnitz Station northwest through the denser residential neighborhoods of downtown, then returns to subway to cross under Blue Mountain River and link various residential and commercial streets of the West Side, terminating at the commuter station and highway interchange on the north end of the West Side. The remaining proposed lines link all of the other major neighborhoods in a hub-and-spoke pattern centered on Downtown.
The booming Southeast district is a microcosm of the city's evolving transportation network: a large bridge crossing River Island, smaller local street bridges, the airport link emerges from the underwater crossing near the top of the photo, new highway and elevated rail construction along the left edge, ferries carry passengers across the river, and on the right side are Downtown's historic brick streets near the convention center. Future Plans The most intensive development is in the southeast near the stadium; a new transportation corridor will link the entire south side with East River City and other points east and south. Suburbs and smaller growth extends along various outer edges of the city. The central urban cores have already run out of space, so it's likely that some rebuilding will be necessary to accommodate denser downtown development. The long-term mass transit plan will extend for many years; more heavy rail will be replaced or supplemented with subway and light rail. More housing is needed near the university, and a new commuter town is being planned for the far southeast area. Construction has begun on a network of waterfront greenways and biking paths. Some of the bridges need upgrading. Overall the city is in good health and has a strong budget for all these plans; the major challenges are prioritization, balancing the flow of jobs and residents, dealing with commuter traffic, and managing gentrification and stagnation. __________________

King's Landing is the royal capital of Westeros and the Seven Kingdoms. King's Landing has an estimated population of 1 million people, making it the most populous city in Westeros. It is situated on the Blackwater river on the spot where Aegon the Conqueror landed in Westeros to begin his conquest. The main city is surrounded by a wall, which is manned by the City Watch of King's Landing, which is nicknamed the gold cloaks, after the cloaks they wear. Within the walls, the city's natural landscape is dominated by three hills, named after Aegon and his two sister-wives Rhaenys and Visenya. Poorer smallfolk (commoners) build shanty settlements outside the city. King's Landing is described as extremely populous but unsightly and dirty. The stench of the city's waste can be smelled far beyond its walls. The royal castle, called the Red Keep, sits on Aegon's Hill. It is the seat of the royal court. The Keep holds the Iron Throne. Aegon commissioned the throne's construction from the swords of his defeated enemies. According to legend, he kept the blades sharp because he believed that no ruler should ever sit comfortably. Centuries later, kings still cut themselves on the throne. It is a common belief that one who cuts himself on the throne has been "rejected" by the throne and is therefore not fit to rule. The city also holds the Great Sept of Baelor, where the Most Devout convene with the High Septon. It is the holiest sept of the Seven. The slums of King's Landing are called Flea Bottom, where residents are so poor they regularly subsist on "bowls of brown", a mystery stew that can include the meat of puppies and murder victims.
