Linking up 2 Major Cities

Now that I've introduced the first two major cities of my region located on the south coast, I have begun work on two large cities in the north situated on a long narrow bay (inlet?) and am now working on some of the smaller cities that lay between them to form a mega-region. More updates to come shortly!

hehe, nice references to Hong Kong, especially the regional view, you should have a look at more Bixel's work, they are easy to find and use. and you can easily get a good chinese feel to your cities.

Do look at google maps which is a powerful tool to check out how cities are made

In you first picture you rebuild Union Square of Kowloon, but you zone inbetween and beside. I built it myself a few years ago, lost the pics.. but you can see it here on the 4:58 mark, it's actually a very spacious area because the towers are so high

Hope to se emore soon :)

@TowerDude thanks for the reply, big fan! Yeah you're right, the Union Square area might be a good opportunity to add some green space, there's not much in my city. This is actually one of my old cities that I probably started 3 or 4 years ago and have transferred it from region to region cause I like it so much. I started it at a time when I was working on city re-creations which is why it looks so much like a Hong Kong copy but I've now shifted away from that style. I've tinkered with this city a lot recently now that I've started this new region, making it a little less like the real world Hong Kong. It probably would have been quicker to start from scratch but this was one of my favourite cities so I've kept it (a lot of hours spent on it). I have some of @bixel's work in my city and should have more but have found plopping some of it into the existing city blocks difficult. Again if I had started from scratch there would be more. My plan now, as this is a mostly Asian styled region, is to include his work in my other big cities and spread the wealth around a bit especially now that I'm less concerned with making a true to life copy. Stay Tuned!
