That sounds like a graphical issue. I'd try changing the graphical settings on your system, possibly going to software graphics as opposed to hardware, or changing the detail settings. There have been some Windows 8.1-related issues that I've heard of, but as I'm on regular Windows 8, I don't have any first hand experience with it. -Tarkus I changed SimCity4 from Hardware to Software and I haven't had any more issues. Thanks for your help. Thanks for your response A Nonny Moose, but I figured out what the issue was a few minutes ago.

Last night, I installed NAM 32 for my Windows 8.1 Laptop. While the installation was successful, I am experiencing an issue which is significantly affecting my cities. I constructed a NAM highway for my town last night. Once it was completed, I built a solar power station within reasonably close proximity to my highway. When I built the power station, the roads nearby completed disappeared (including some of the highway). A few minutes later, I exited the city and re-loaded it again. I then decided to build a fire station nearby, to experiment whether the issue only occurred from the power station. However, the same thing happened again! When ever I build something nearby (such as a park, building), the roads in close proximity always disappear. Has this happened to anyone else before and is there anyway in which I can resolve it? Thanks.

It all depends on the type of region you have. Brunswick is a nice name for a suburban region!

How do you get buildings to be occupied again?
SimCities replied to TeddyAbbie's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
To make buildings become occupied again, I try to beautify an area which is looking run down. Plantation and services such as Police Stations etc, most of the time help an area become thriving again! After all, Sims don't like living near heavy industrial areas -
I had meant in the task manager, my computer is windows 7. But i managed to fix the problem.

Is it meant to be in applications to kill it?

Emanthorpe - A rural delight for ghosts!
SimCities posted a City Journal entry in Cities Uncovered (SC4)
By The Way, this will be my last journal using small pictures, the next journals will have much larger pictures. Emanthorpe is a small little community of just 77 people, completely isolated from several communities. The town was devasted by fire and for some time, largely remained abandoned. Sims hated coming through Emanthorpe in this period and it soon got the label of a ghost town. The Rural Council of Emanthorpe, starting taking drastic action and after several months, soon became a village again.- 1 Comment
