The new game looks like it has some cool stuff.  I do have a question, though.  What's up with all the water towers in the pictures towards the beginning of the entry?  Why would they need to be there like that?

The new game looks like it has some cool stuff.  I do have a question, though.  What's up with all the water towers in the pictures towards the beginning of the entry?  Why would they need to be there like that?

Short answer: That's where the water is.

Longer answer: At the time the city wasn't large enough to need the sewage treatment plant (generates the ground water) and water pump station (no use without a large source of ground water to pump) and it couldn't afford it either.  At this stage of the city's growth it was pre 3.0 patch so the horrible pollution was in full effect (I blamed it on an active but not erupting volcano from Krackle Plateau Mountains) driving up the healthcare costs.  The rainwater mechanic wasn't working well and terrain water sources didn't provide water as well as now either.  I had already dried up the rest of the map's water and the flow needed by the citizens required a fair number of water towers in the only place with water left.

Thanks for the interest.
