  1. La Tulipe

    Version 1.0.0

    362 Downloads

Completed in 1976 and designed by architect Jack Vicajee Bertoli, the Swiss Medical Research Foundation building, nicknamed "La Tulipe" (the Tulip) as a result of its unusual floral shape, is a brutalist landmark located in Geneva, Switzerland. Owing to its real life association with medical research, I have modded this version as a clinic (I don't think I've done one of those before, oddly enough). It sits on a 2x2 lot and comes in both Darknite and Maxisnite varieties; only one may be used at a time. The Darknite version requires Simfox's Day and Nite Modd. Dependencies: BSC Common Dependencies Pack Enjoy!
  2. Fermilab Illinois

    Version 1.0.0

    2,874 Downloads

Fermilab Illinois, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Made as a request, this is the main hall building of the Fermilab Particle Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, Illinois. Constructed in the 1970s, the building was inspired by Cathedral architecture (realised in the brutalist style) at the insistence of the lab's first director (Robert Wilson) who insisted that the buildings on the site were not merely concrete blocks. The Hi-tech building is offered as a non-conditional reward and is a modified version of the advanced research centre. It does not generate radiation (which the in game reasearch centre does) and it looks best placed as an ex-urban-style campus surrounded by large tracts of woodland/open land/ponds, etc. In addition to providing your sims with 3,524 highly desirable civic jobs that are filled by all wealth levels, this is a CAP busting lot. It will raise demand by the following amounts: Manufacturing: 290,000 HiTech Industry: 690,000 CO$$: 100,000 CO$$$: 100,000 R$$: 50,000 Placing this lot will also give additional residential and commercial cap relief by providing positive Park, Mayor and Landmark effects. Obviously placing this building will give a real boost to your IHT and CO demand. All these benefits do have a cost (which is only fair). In addition to the $120K outlay, this will set the city back $530 per month. * It is offered as a reward without needing pre-existing conditions. * It is located in the REWARD Menu. * It can be placed more than once in a city. * It DOES NOT over-write the ingame Advanced Research Center (or any re-lotted versions there-of), so can be used in conjunction with the standard Maxis reward. Placing rewards is an essential part of growing a large city and region, given their cap-busting and desirability increasing effects. --------------------------------------- STATS: Lot size : 6x14 Plop Cost: $ 120,000 Monthly Cost: $ 530 Budget Item: Government Buildings Occupant Groups: Reward, Crowd White Coat, YIMBY Demand Created: Jobs$: 10, Jobs$$: 2,661, Jobs$$$: 853. Landmark Effect: +205 over 53 tiles Park Effect: +10 over 53 tiles Mayor Rating: +25 over 220 tiles Pollution: Air 25 over 2 tiles, Water 92 over 3 tiles, Garbage 140 over 0 tiles Power consumed:468 MwH Water consumed: 842 Gallons/Month Bulldoze Cost: $ 30,000 --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: This download contains TWO model files; one for dark nite users (and other night-time darkening mods, such as Gizmos night-mod) and one for the standard Maxis nite. You must keep only one file - depending on which version you use. If you are unsure whether you have a night-darkening mod installed, then choose the Maxis night version. Regardless of which file you choose to keep, make sure you DO NOT delete the Lot File! If you use the dark nite version, you will need a dark nite mod. Either: (http://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/23089-simfox-day-and-nite-modd/) OR (http://gizmo.aplaceforwebsite.com/index.php) --------------------------------------- DEPENDENCIES: To ensure proper functionality, make sure the following files are in your plugins: *BSC MEGA Props - CP Vol01.dat (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1180) *BSC Mega Props - CP Vol02.dat (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2790) *BSC Texture Pack - Cycledogg V01.dat (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=101) *Diggis Ponds Grass Base Models: (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2090) *Maxis International DayOfPeace: (https://community.simtropolis.com/sc4-maxis-files/) --------------------------------------- To install, simply unzip the contents of this file into your plugins folder.
  3. Version 1.0.0

Judith Krug Branch Library is a triangular brutalist library. 4x4 library lot. MaxisNite and DarkNite versions included. DarkNite requires the Day and Nite Modd. Installation Instructions: Download either the DarkNite (DN) or MaxisNite (MN) version. If you're unsure, choose the MN version. Unzip the .zip and move its contents to Documents/SimCity4/Plugins. SC4Lot files are descriptively titled. Remove the lot versions which you do not want. Do not remove any .SC4Model files.
  4. Kulturhuset

    Version 1.0.1

    1,201 Downloads

So finally it is done. A polarizing yet still popular building, which served as temporary parliament in the early 80s when the Riksdag building was being renovated. This large complex is home to Stockholm city theater and countless other art and entertainment spaces. This is meant to be an alternative to the 'Modern Art Center', so i copied its distinctive properties and scaled some of them up , namely : R$$ and R$$$ demand cap thing : 6000 Jobs ( to compensate for the retail and office space in the large stage building ) : $ 1458, $$ 371, $$$ 173 Landmark effect : 70 over 26 tiles Park effect : 50 over 22 tiles Visitor capacity : 70900 School EQ boost : 50 The other stats should be reasonable as i saved this as a museum in PIMX at first. The correct assembly of the building is a bit complicated, the last picture shows how. The Lot itself is 5x6 tiles big and for the overhang there is a filler in the 'buildingplop' menu under 'Sergelstan Kulturhuset' , the empty middle tiles should be filled with ped malls as in real life. If you dont prepare the ground before plopping as in last pic, you lose 2 floors from the back, the sloped entrance and get ugly shadows. Included is a 1x2 viaduct access and adjacent mall entrance lot that completes the western end of Kulturhuset, it functions as a bus station and has around 60 jobs to account for the cafe under the viaduct and the shops in the passage towards the adjacent mall. Required: updated along with this upload
  5. Sergels Torg

    Version 1.0.2

    1,397 Downloads

Another development from the Norrmalm regulation. The busiest square in Stockholm and entrance to the central station of the Stockholm metro network and Sergelgången, a large underground network of passages with shops connecting with the nearby shopping centers. 5x2 overhanging lot designed for slight diagonal curve on the lower left corner, works as a subway station with : capacity of 74.000 a Landmark effect of 40 across 28 tiles and some Mayor rating boost 260 jobs to compensate for the underground shops Found in the misc transport menu The filler lot ( 12 C$$ jobs, never grows ) can be accessed through the 'buildingplop' menu, right below 'Sergelstan Sergels Torg'. Required (for the lamps to appear and access the filler lot):
  6. Sergelfontänen

    Version 1.0.0

    958 Downloads

A popular Stockholm landmark, part of the ''Norrmalm regulation'' - a major redevelopment project from the 50s to 70s aiming to modernize the busiest part of Stockholm in the image of the urban planning ideals of that time, in praxis, this meant tearing down older ''slums'' and thousands of homes, all without the help of germans, russians or brits like elsewhere in Europe. The round windows illuminate the underground shopping passage Sergelarkaden stretching from Sergels torg, which you cant see fully in the pics, to the NK department store 2 blocks north. It is found in the landmark menu, has no jobs, but a landmark effect of 40 across 20 tiles and a slight boost of mayor rating.
  7. 15 London Circuit

    Version 1.0

    1,356 Downloads

15 London Circuit, Canberra City, Australia. 15 London Circuit, locally known as AON Tower is a 14 floor, 54 metre hirise tower in Canberra City's CityWest law district. Built in 1971 it has undergone many renovations since opening, most recent of which was a streetfront plaza upgrade in 2013/2014 during city beautification works to help shift the city's brutalist image. This model is not a 100% recreation as the building's front and back elevated plaza and gardens have been ommited, roof and advertising are different and the entry to the building changed. This file only requires 1 dependency and that is SimFox's TreePack #2 This is my first released BAT and all unaurthorised use is prohibited. SimFoxs TreePack #2 is property of SimFox. Thankyou for downloading, please Rate and comment feedback on my BAT page: NirBats.
  8. House of Soviets, Kaliningrad

    Version 1.0

    8,977 Downloads

I hearby proudly present Дом советов (House of Soviets) The House of Soviets is a building located in Kaliningrad in the Kaliningrad oblast, an exclave of Russia. The building is built on top of the foundations of the Königsberg castle which was severely damaged during World War II. Construction on the building, which was to be the central administrative office of the Kaliningrad oblast, started in 1960 but was stopped in 1980 due to loss of interest. Although, now painted to look finished, the original building stands vacant and unfinished to this day. This version of the building is an artist’s impression of how the building would have looked if it had been finished in the 80s. The building has a podium which can be dug into the ground. Therefore you have to raise the ground by 8 meters on one side. Here are the game relevant stats: CO§§ Version Occupants: 3,300 CO§§ Lot Size: 5x5 Plop Cost: § 82,000 Worth / Bulldoze Cost: § 1,970 Flammability: 40 / Stage 5 Power consumed: 85 MWh/month Water consumed: 946 gallons/month Air pollution: 13 over 5 tiles Water pollution: 13 over 6 tiles Garbage generated: 8 tons/month Landmark Version Lot Size: 5x5 Plop Cost: § 82,000 Maintenance Cost: §120/month Landmark Effect: 40 over 25 tiles Mayor Rating Effect: 5 over 256 tiles Worth / Bulldoze Cost: § 1,970 Flammability: 40 / Stage 5 Power consumed: 85 MWh/month Water consumed: 946 gallons/month Air pollution: 13 over 5 tiles Water pollution: 13 over 6 tiles Garbage generated: 8 tons/month Dependencies: To make sure the buildings function properly ingame, you’ll need the following dependencies: BSC Mega Props CP Vol.01 Installation: Download either the maxis night or the dark night pack. After this, it is recommended to make a new subfolder in your simcity4/plugins directory. Place the .SC4MODEL files of the buildings you want to keep in that folder. After this, copy the LOT files of the same buildings to the newly created folder. Enjoy. To uninstall, first make sure to bulldoze all instances of the building from your city, after this, simply remove the .SC4MODEL and .LOT files from your plugin folder.

  10. Update 12 - Ermagrad: The Capital

Replies: mystic_destiny: here it Dirktator: don't be sad- here is a new update Paulobergonci: thank you testuser1234: yes - you will see Simarco: *_* ! Ermagrad: Tha capital of kamchatka. it has 276,000 residents and let's just say - it is growing ... fast. People move out of the lonley villages and town they were forced to live in the 30's-60's and after the fall of the USSR they came here to seek a better job and a place to raise a family. let's just say live here are better - and cheap. Ermagrad is the 17th most cheapest city in the world. Although life here are good (well better) after the communist revolution in 2004 the chances they will be deported once again to countrysides to populate Kamchatka and prevent over population like in Moscow. It was est. in 1898 by 40 loggers and coal miners. It population boosted in WW2 as a place to manyfacute tanks without bein bombed. today it is a modern city that welcome people from all other the world to stay in hotels. ENJOY! The 3 tallest buildings in Kamchatka: 1) Mostilavich Tower: Built in 2003 2) Kosonoskva Adin (1): Built in 1978 3)Kosonoskva Dva (2): Built in 1982
  11. Well, you probably think this is the ugliest building ever, but I like it so I BAT it! More Brutalism may follow later on first renders:
