Hello all. Happy SC4 20years! I have been using the NAM 36 since 2017. Because RRW default and only option since NAM 37(also I don't like RRW texture), I couldn't upgrade NAM. Actually, I don't like the recent NAMs. Support for the ML EL texture mod has also been discontinued, and I think the NAM railroad textures are getting uglier than in the past. The recent NAM team seems to be trying to integrate HSR into HRW. And the future of HSR is also uncertain. Personally, this trend is very sad. Anyway, I've been using the NAM 36 for the past few years with great satisfaction. But I would like to reinstall because I didn't select some options, but I couldn't find the installer. Could I get the installer?

I recently started playing SimCity 4 again and came upon this wonderful community. Thanks everyone! Like many others, I couldn't get any of the pre-baked Mac installers to work, but I did manage to get one of the basic installations working, by running the Windows installer in a VM and copying the files over. Here's what worked for me; hopefully it will work for you too. My Setup Macbook Pro (16-inch, 2019) MacOS Catalina 10.15.3 SimCity 4 from the App Store, version 1.2.1 How to install Windows 10 in a VM I found these two youtube videos, which described how to download a Windows 10 installer ISO and VirtualBox, and then configure them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUx8Y5Kj_hs and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUfWTYkj4Q0 . The instructions are roughly: Download a Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO Download VirtualBox: https://www.virtualbox.org/ (I'm using version 6.1.6) Create a VM in VirtualBox, and point it at the Windows 10 ISO to install. Wait a while for the installation flow. When prompted for an activation key, click the "I don't have one" button, and proceed normally through the rest of the installation. At this point, Windows is working, but there's no easy way to transfer files between the Windows VM and the host Mac. You need to install some Windows drivers: With your Windows installation running, choose Devices > Insert Guest Additions CD Image ... from VirtualBox's menus. Inside Windows, navigate to the CD Drive ("This Computer" > "CD Drive (D:) VirtualBox Guest Additions") and launch "VBoxWindowsAdditions". Install everything. Reboot the Windows VM. Creating a shared folder between Mac and Windows Somewhere on your Mac, create a folder to be used for copying files back and forth. It doesn't matter where. I put something in my "Downloads" folder. In VirtualBox, choose Devices > Shared Folders > Shared Folders Settings ... Add a new folder. Choose your shared folder as the "Folder Path", give it a name for Windows (I used "W10_Shared_Folder"). Read-only OFF; Auto-mount ON; Make permanent ON; and leave mount point blank. You should now see "W10_Shared_Folder (\\VBoxSvr) (Z:)" under "My Computer" Installing NAM and copying the installed files I downloaded NAM36 for Windows on my Mac, and dropped the zip file in my shared folde r. On the Windows side, I navigated to "W10_Shared_Folder", opened NetworkAddonMod_Setup.zip, and ran the installer straight from it. To start with, I chose the "Traffic Simulator and Maxis Fixes Only" setting. And I answered "Yes" to "Is this going to be copied to a Mac?". Once this was done, I went to my "Documents" folder in Windows, and copied the whole "SimCity" folder to "W10_Shared_Folder". And now I had all the goodies in the Mac side. Woot. Installing the results into SimCity 4 on Mac I'm using the AppStore version, so my Plugins folder is under (home)/Library/Containers/com.aspyr.simcity4.appstore/Data/Documents/SimCity 4. (Non-appstore versions keep this under Documents/SimCity 4, I think.) I copied both the "Network Addon Mod" and the "z__NAM" folders in there. Then I fired up SimCity, and all my sims suddenly had jobs. Yay! After I got it working, I ran the installer a few times on the Windows side, each time copying over the resulting installations to Mac, so that I have a few different variations at the ready. This mostly worked, with some occasional wrinkles because I didn't have a SimCity installation on the Windows side. Usually I could just quit the installer and start over if it gave me trouble, and it worked the next time through. Caveats I've tried the other flavors of installation, and they cause SimCity 4 to crash when loading a city. After a very small bit of trial and error, some of the problem seems to be with something in z__NAM/Mass Transit Lots. I was able to get past loading when I removed that folder. Perhaps others with Mac experience (and a successful installation) can chime in with the parts that are/are not working in their configurations. Closing Thank You to everyone who has contributed to NAM and this forum, and also to Aspyr and those who worked on 64-bit and Catalina compatibility. It's good to see old games carry on. They're still fun.

I have 2 separate questions, 1. Regarding turbo roundabouts i noticed that it's not possible to drag a road or avenue to make a connection so starter pieces to make the transitions? 2. I would like to make slip lanes at intersections but have only been successful at avenue intersections using an ave x mis type b from the RHW/Ave pieces, and only using basic "maxis" style avenues. Only problem is the intersection takes up a lot of space. i have seen screenshots with very compact slip lanes but have not figured out how to make them.

I wasn't able to find anybody else having this problem on the internet, so I thought about asking it myself on the forum. When placing an avenue intersection, the situation in the picture happens. But this only happens with a four-way intersection. A three-way intersection is fine. And I can't figure out what I have done to cause this. Because this didn't happen when I played this game for the last time a year ago, and now it does. So it is a bit difficult to remember what I have done in the meantime. I am basically trying to ask you guys for suggestions, before removing the two mods and seeing if that solved the problem. Which would be a shame, because NAM is quite handy for making sure the Sims are less stupid. My mods are: NAM 36 and Road Top Mass Transit Thanks in advance.

Hi: I'm on IMAC RETINA Mojave And SimCity from AppStore ver 1.1.1 is this version (the latest on the APPstore) unavailble to NAM36? I used it previously when I was on SIERRA and it works just fine. I changed the drive with an SSD and lost everything I had before ... Downloaded NAM36MojaveWrapper and followed the instructions quite carefully. After moving the installer to the desktop opening it nothing happens, the only file which seems to change is Imac ▸ Users ▸ Danny ▸ Library ▸ Containers ▸ SimCity 4 Deluxe Editionsub2.cfg None the other files mentioned in the instructions is on my drive Any hints thanks?

How do I make curves for 6S highways and greater?
hershey95 posted a topic in NAM & Transit Networks
So I recently re-installed SC4 on Steam and very carefully downloaded several mods including NAM 36. Everything's been working great and it seems the only obstacle before me is this learning curve (no pun intended) in regards to the big daddy mod, the NAM. Just as I was getting cocky laying down ARDs and realistic avenues complete with smooth 90 degree curves (thanks btw to all you mod makers out there), I hit a huge roadblock. Trying to take advantage of these smooth 45 degree 8S curves specifically, I cannot seem to get this to complete into a full 90 degree curve. I lay down one piece but the second 45 won't really connect to form a 90. Or it does connect but leaves a big ol gap in the middle with two stubs on either side! Then I tried just laying the one piece down and laying down an 8S starter piece and tried to drag the end stub to the starter piece. Turns red! I'm out of ideas. Please help. -
Hello Guyz! I recently installed NAM 36 for my SimCity 4. I am new to it and I have never installed any version before so this is the first one I am using. I was watching Realistic Overpasses, Sunken Highway tutorials in youtube so I started making Sunken Highway. But the main problem is that the man uses On Slope puzzle pieces that I can't find any where so please someone can tell me that how to find On Slope Pieces I also don't have overpasses so please help me. Regards

Not sure I should put this here, but in the threads I found about SG stations behaving weirdly, references were made to the NAM so here goes. The Clock tower station, although not present in my plugins, shows up as its footprint in blue, no building, and immediately causes a CTD if plopped -- it also seems to frack the rail menu, displacing other menu icons without showing up itself. BUT when I get all three problematic stations in my plugins (Clock Tower, Passenger Station, Simtropolis Station) everything works well. I don't notice any of the displacements of rails and platforms noted in the thread I followed. I assume it is because NAM 36 solved the problem. In said thread, @rsc204 pointed to a fix -- which I downloaded. I would like to know if I need it when none of SG problematic rail stations are in my plugins folder (esp. the Clock tower one) .

My companion plays on a Mac. I installed NAM36 on his Mac (completely forgetting I just had to slap my own folders in his plugins !!! But as he didn't want exactly what I have it was OK in the end, I guess.) As expected, we hit the plugins wall and will have to datpack the NAM. I downloaded JDatPacker but am always somewhat squeamish when using a new tool -- especially when said tool comes with a readme that is an electronic book (or at least DLs like one !) Should I use something else ? Whatever I use, are there special warnings, do's and don't's ? (I did take a little walk through forums ; my eyes are beginning to glaze over...)

Hi guys, While testing a TE enabled lot I noticed, that when using the NRD-4 road connecting to this lot, the traffic lights are steady green on all sides. When I change the NRD-4 to the standard avenue, the intersection lights work just fine. To see, what I mean, see the attached pictures. One side is avenue TE enabled, the other side is road TE enabled. Is this a normal behavior? Kind regards!
