My city is Porto Uraba is 200000 with habitants in the year 19

In the game, when you use trip types, does the number next to each count the people on the buses, in cars, on trains, etcetera or does it count the number of vehicles? If anyone knows I would greatly appreciate it. The suspense is getting to me after 2 + years.

Hi, I am working with SimCity 4 on a mac computer with OS Big Sur. I have downloaded the NAM39 with the Traffic Simulator and it is working fine. What I would like help with is buses. Not sure what I clicked on but the buses have taken over. Does anyone know how to remedy this problem in the traffic simulator? I use the buses I don’t want to eliminate them just decrease the amount of them. Thanks

Replies: kschmidt: Lol, yer it does. Luckily there's no damn to flood in the city so we should be safe. Though on the plus side, if it flooded it might put the fires out! Entry 7: Let's all catch a bus to Perrin Head! So, welcome back to Rokton where we've had a few problems, some new buses and several new settlements springing up like daisy's! Let's start by getting the boring bits out of the way with a look at several improvements to Roktons transport system and network with a couple of interchange upgrades being done. Firstly with this one, where as you can see a bonfire gone wrong ground the area to a complete standstill resulting in a slight decrease to the trees and farm buildings in the area. Deciding that we needed to prevent this in the future we gave the junction some slip lanes. These did precisely nothing in helping out with the traffic which is when some clever soul suggested improving the roundabout on the Henning Bay side. Thankfully this seems to have cleared it up completely which is useful when bonfires inevitably go wrong. Meanwhile in Rokton, the interchange was still giving us issues so we needed a solution for it fast. Luckily some tunnelling seems to have solved the problem of traffic trying to cross each-other and causing congestion. Its beginning to look a bit chaotic though. Speaking of Rokton though, we saw the tip of the peninsula that used to house the wind turbines until we built the WTEP (Waste To Energy Plant) be renovated with sea walls and some piers. No real word on what's going here yet but it looks like something's planned! Something else that was evidently planned had to be Henning's Bay new 'I want what my neighbour has!' craze where everyone has built pretty much identical houses across the board. Oh well, as long as their happy and paying taxes I suppose...... So, your probably wondering where Perrin head is given that its in the title (ok, your not, but I needed a segway into this so were rolling with it). Its this small town that's begun to develop on the coast down from Henning Bay, I assume by people that wanted a quieter life. And, for people who wanted a even quieter life than that we have Riverbend and Cliffside which have developed inland from the rest of the settlements. And, for the other part of the title being a bus ride the city finally has a actual bus line. Well it has several lines (one for each of the three centres of population and then a regional line that visits every settlement (except Cliffside but their tiny anyway). Here's the lovely new bus terminal, right next to the fire heli depot which in turn, is right next to the WTEP (yes, it probably won't to shiny for too long). So, because I like abrupt endings to entries here's a current overview with all the lovely new towns and villages that have popped up over the last couple of entries. No idea what we'll be doing in the next entry but I'm sure it'll be interesting as always (don't laugh!). Till next time!

My current city has about 15k pop. I've got a bus depot with a few routes set up. If I click on the different buses, almost all of them show full (30/30). This would lead me to believe that there are probably people waiting for a bus, but can't get on. Do I need more buses? Searching for info on this, I saw an article saying that you don't need more than one bus depot for a city. Is this true? Are these "full buses" not actually a problem?

Increases the limit of passengers waiting at park and rides to 500. I noticed that it help traffic a bit for those students, workers as well as shoppers. If by any chance encounter any bugs, please let me know and if you like this Mod, please give it a rate. Thank you. For offline use only. Work best with HyugaHinata's Public Transport- 9 Comments

Lost Gifts, Shared Recycling not working, Suggestions
Zman007 posted a topic in SimCity (2013) Technical Help Q&A
I decided to come back to SimCity after a few months off. I have spent 77 hours in the game recently. I have four cities in a region, and total local region size of close to a million sims. First, the bugs: I'm playing by myself in sandbox mode. I have lost multiple gifts in the millions of $s from one city to the other. This problem alone has almost bankrupted the whole region and trashed hours of my time. Additionally, the recycling trucks being shared aren't traveling from their city of origin to the city they are assigned to. Shared services like sewage are unexpectedly turning off. And finally, though I have train passenger stations in all cities, only one city shows sims using the service - 25,000 a day. All the other cities show 0 passengers. Oh - and the game crashes about once an hour. Besides these bugs, which have made the game nearly unplayable, I have several suggestions for how this game needs to be modified. 1. Mass transportation is not nearly effective enough given city size and building footprint. I have four cities. In just one of those cities, I have: a passenger train station, a regional bus station, three smaller bus stations, four park and rides, and a streetcar system - it's a city of 250,000. In just this one city, there are 32 buses, 8 streetcars, 12 streetcar stops, 35 bus stops, and a train station. Park and rides are located in residential areas. Bus stops are planted throughout all the cities and all routes are green with coverage. This is the same setup for all three other cities. And yet, I only have about 55,000 sims using mass transit for the entire region of almost 1 million! That's ridiculous. I've used up almost 8% of land area on mass transit, not including roads. And since I've heard that each city can grow up to 500,000, and yet I've pretty much maxed out mass transit, but traffic is horrible, there is only one reasonable answer: The number of sims using mass transit needs to be increased by a factor of 10 to work properly! 2. Recycling centers are constantly warning that their lines are full. I have two plastic lines, one metal line and one alloy line at one plant. I have 8 pickup trucks and 4 delivery trucks at that plant. I then have three trade depots that include 6 plastic warehouses, 2 alloy warehouses and 2 metal warehouses. The recycling center is close to the trade depots and set up to export everything. And yet, I get constant warnings that my recycling centers are backed up. If I'm that maxed out, this shouldn't happen. Deliveries to trade depots from recycling centers need to happen 2X more often and exports from trade depots need to follow. 3. The whole trash and recycling system is completely flawed. Some days only some trucks will go out, or none will go out at all. There is no warning system in place when trash is piling up until it is WAY too late to fix the problem. If your trucks miss even 1 bag of trash a day, that will eventually add up until you have tens of thousands of bags destroying your city. Recycling for a city of 250,000 can't be covered with a fleet of 42 recycling trucks - that alone is completely wrong. The recycling stacks up and pisses off my sims, and yet there is nothing I can do to get rid of it short of creating a new city that does nothing but recycle. But oh wait! My city with all the recycling trucks only occasionally gets their trucks over to my city that needs help. And do not tell me that's because of traffic. See point 1, above. I've done everything beyond reason to max out mass transportation. Recycling MUST be limited to the amount of material that can be picked up by the trucks you have available, no matter how many or how few trucks there are. 4. You cannot schedule when your recycling and trash trucks go out. This means they always go out during max traffic hours, unstaggered. We need to be able to schedule when trash trucks go out. And even better, assign an area for them to clean up and the city needs to show you when you don't have enough trash and recycling set up to cover the needs of the current population. This must update when populations increase, or trash and recycling need to be able to magically pick up everything in the area they've been assigned regardless of population growth. 5. You can't reasonably figure out how to plop a trade port and dock. I spent almost a million dollars, setting up trade ports, only to find out that no dock could support it, then destroy it to set it up somewhere else where *fingers crossed* the dock could also work. Plopping a trade port needs to be able to happen without a road being present - the road can be put down later - AND it needs to show where the dock could go, and confirm that the dock can be plopped in that area as well. Ok - wall of text done. I think this game could still be awesome. It's addictive. But it's so deeply flawed, that I can't keep playing it without it driving me insane. -
Okay, I know we have talked about this topic before, but seriously, how do you get rid of the homeless in your city, I thought if you had regional buses that would do the trick, but my city that now has 92 homeless sims. only one or two have gone away so far! So do I demolish all the parks, upset the other sims and just wait or what?
-
Okay so here is the deal.. I had one bus station maxed out.. 58min waiting time, which is yellow zone territory. Despite me having no traffic I saw this as a sign of the beginnings of traffic probs.. So I plopped another bus station maxed it out, waiting about 2days min.. New bus wait time, 58min... Seriously. Can someone please explain this..

Hey y'all here's an update on public transit in Hialeah. I used a paint scheme similar to the 1990s SFRTA colors and found an Orion V drawing on the net. I was hoping to get these slapped on buses in game but I have rapidly come to realize that I will need a PC to do any such modeling. (sheeeeeeeeeeeeeet) Anyhow: here's the press release The HTA unveiled its new paint scheme today. The buses purchased from the city of Toronto will get a full makeover. Mayor Beauregard was on hand to board HTA 5099 this morning, the first bus to sport the new colors. The Mayor arrived bright and early to board the first Westbound 90 Hawthorne at Cretaceous Avenue this morning. The mayor was not the first in line however, a line up had already formed for the 5:13 Westbound 90. The mayor jumped at the chance to shake, hands hold babies and pose for pictures. When the mayor asked resident Isaiah Washington who was in line for the bus how he felt about the new colors, Washington angrily mumbled that he had thought up of the scheme 11 years ago and has not received compensation. The mayor offered Mr. Washington a free monthly pass and shortly thereafter Mr. Washington was singing the HTA's praises. The mayor has also been invited to dinner at the Howard household and to a little league baseball game. One reporter at the scene asked the mayor how he felt about this "shameless publicity stunt" The mayor was quick with his rebuttle, calling it rather an "effective publicity stunt" The mayor's approval rating currenltly stands at 80%. The entire fleet is expected to painted by the end of the month. Cretaceous Ave:

This is a re-upload of the file previously uploaded 17.02.2010. Somehow got deleted. Exact cause unknown. Having been talking to Zelgadis about this we've come to the conclusion that it's somehow his fault, either way i got a green light for re-uploading. As said last time: Here's a set of 2008/2009 Volvo 9700 buses. Bus liveries included. Nor-Way Bussekspres - Norway Timekspressen - Norway NSB Nettbuss - Norway All coaches are additonal, as i doubt you would want to replace any citybuses with this. Remember, it's important that you run your game in hardware mode in order to make these buses work. The textures are 512X512 pixels. Which is too much for the software mod, and the buses will look strange. Models: me modding nightlighting and any final changes: Simfanatik.- 10 Comments

Here's a Scania Irizar, it's a fairly common coach ( that's tour/travel buses for those who are unfamiliar with that word) in Europe. The coachwork is done in the Basque region of Spain. I made textures for three versions, two of them are fit for Left hand Roads, while one is right hand. Bus Eireann (ireland) (Left hand) National Express (United Kingdom) (Left hand) Nor-Way Bussekspress (Norway) (Right hand) I'm afraid i won't do further reskin resquests, but if you want you may ask Simfanatik for a reaskin. Wether or not he wants to do it is entirely his decision though, so don't overload him with work. Please also note that in order for the 512X512 textures to appear, the game msut be in hardware mode. As earlier this model including textures was made by me Modding, lightning and anything else was done by Simfanatik.- 17 Comments

This is a pack of Toronto TTC buses, made on the request. Toronto TTC buses Automata model by Gwail Textures by Gwail There are two Toronto TTC buses inside the pack - Orion V and Orion VII - both as replacement of Maxis' standard bus and as an additional automata. Both buses have fully functional nightlight models for nighttime running. Be aware - both additional buses replaces my previous MTA buses as follows: TTC Orion V - replaces MTA Orion V add, TTC Orion VII - replaces MTA Orion VII CNG add. Another bus from me, they just keep coming, don't they? This time it's based on an MCI E4500 in Greyhound US and Greyhound Canada liveries. I did try my best to make it resmble the E4500, but i didn't get it quite right, the back for instance is a slight bit different, but it's not that big of a deal i think. This also has nightlights but not as much as a citybus, as this is indeed a coach, and therefore it can't have lights on all the time. This comes as additional only, as i don't think anyone would want to make this replace a citybus. Model is yet again made by me, Simfanatik did the modding as last time, aswell as the light models. Enjoy, and don't get killed by a psychopath on the trip!- 22 Comments

This is the first of a series of TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) buses. My first one is the FLYER and as with the majority of buses on the Toronto streets they all have advertisements on each side. This bus has nightlights. Thanks to MayorBean for providing the original framework.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Installation: Please put only one file into your plugins folder (\My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins). If you want to use the file that replaces the original bus, make sure no other overriding bus mods are installed. It is wise to create a new folder for each download to avoid confusion. For deinstalling the mod, simply delete the files from your plugins folder. -
