    An application for post-nuclear technological civilization. 8 (width) x 4 (depth) Lot Size. Power and Water produced: 8,000,000 MWh/ Gal. per hr. Water Treatment and Recycling: 1,000,000/ 60%, Maintenance Cost: 0, Monthly Income: 50000. Landmark and Park Effect: 10 over 20, Pollution Reduction -10 over 50. Transit and Network enabled. Maxis Night Lighting. Location: Power Menu, Business Deals, Trash Presort Ordinance The textures file below is no longer a dependency. I've extracted the 4 metal textures and included them in the folder containing the lot. If the texture file below is used then delete the 'BaseTexturesElements_Metal.dat' (40K) file in the 'Cosmic Neutrino Power Plant' folder as the textures don't need to be loaded twice. (The metals textures .dat file may be freely used and included in works other than for the purpose of this lot.) Dependencies: Base Textures Vol 1 Elements for metal base textures. NO DEPENDENCIES FOLDER: Cosmic Neutrino Power Plant There are now 2 sub-folders containing 2 versions of the power plant, one has the 50K business deal, and the other has a 50K cost for plopping the lot but no business deal. Use either the 50K PlopCost folder or 50K BusDeal, not both. Select one and delete the other. The lots are copies of each other so the game will not separate them into independent lots. Neither have maintenance costs. Description: What this power plant (hypothetically) does is filter neutrinos from the origin of the universe that are the background static before all construct of atomic matter. The series of high power super-cooled magnetic plates slow down the neutrinos until they exert inertial force which is converted to thermal energy driving electric generator turbines. For the electric power needs of the entire world, only one of these plants is required as its capability of generation of power vastly exceeds what the demand would ever be for civilization on Earth. This power plant requires no use of any other fuel and produces no waste or radioactivity. There are no costs involved in either construction or maintenance as the power plant, once operating, eliminates the need for any form of abstract valuation of property, labor or resources. There are no security risks in the operation of this power plant as there is no excess of source, transmission or storage of energy. Dedicated in memory of March, 11, 2011. Install: To install first open the Cosmic Neutrino Power Plant folder and choose one of the versions, delete the other sub-folder. Copy and paste the Cosmic Neutrino Power Plant folder into your User\Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins folder.

    A recreation of an European-style recycling centre located in Oosterzele, Belgium. It sat on my hard drive for too long, so I'm releasing it now. The goal of these refuse stations is that citizens bring in their large garbage (chairs, old tables, couches, woodwork, used bicycles, hedge trimmings, grass leftovers, etc.) to the collection centre and put it in the desired containers. Their cars are weighed upon enter and exit of the centre, and they pay for the weight they dropped of. It functions as a recycling centre in game, offering 5 R-$ jobs, removing garbage for a slight water and air pollution cost.   5. Hey Everyone. In this entry/episode, I do some big changes. The old block that I didn't like from the last part was completely wiped out and replaced with some suburbs, and also some undeveloped land to the north of that area was also developed. Not got much time so just pictures with no annotations coming up XD: I've also downloaded a load of new BATs, and hopefully next episode they should start growing. Need to start looking into parks as well, as the maxis parks are looking a bit boring. Thanks for looking/watching, Haso/Rodriguez

    Hey all What this distribution mod does: - Allows you to plop recycling truck garages anywhere in your city (still as modules) - Allows you to plop up to twenty of them NOTE: This mod is NOT a cheat. It is a trick to be used for the efficient distribution of recycling vehicles in your cities for the ultimate recycling truck coverage and transportation. A video will be posted here soon. How to install: 1. Unzip the file. 2. Install the package file into your SimCityData folder. Enjoy! More mods are coming!
  7. Problems with trash and recycling Since "Patch" 7 (if you can call it that..) the trash AND recycling collecting is going south. TRASH First, citizens are teed of because they say the trash isn't collected, so I look at the Waste disposal menu and map, first it indicates that I collect MORE garbage than there is in "reality", 6,399 of 6,003 garbage cans collected!!! So I collect almost 400 MORE cans than there is !!!, and NO I don't volunteer trucks to other cities… Second looking at the map the amount of garbage is LOW (very light brown) NO high or overflowing anywhere on the map. And still they are complaining. RECYCLING Déja-Vu… Followed the recycling (waste) menu/map for an entire game day, NOT ONE of the 32 Recycling Collection Trucks went out!!! NOT ONE! Needless to say thay both of my Recycling plants have stopped production, and moreso they have in Storage Plastic, Alloy and Metal and won't deliver it!!! Anyone having those quirks? Thanks for any input you can give. P.S. I'm beginning to feel sick and tired of those supposed "patch" that create as much problems as they're trying to solve!

Dear president of the united Simnations, after a Hard political debate, Es fornots Public services department has decided to build up a recycling center in Es fornots. The choosen ubication is the industrial area. And It will be together to an awareness plan to educate the population. The building will be finished before the year ends.   9. I have encountered an unusual problem for the first time with a recently plopped recycling center. The icon advertised that it relives 20% (correct me if i'm wrong, but that's how I read it) of the city's trash. I calculated this just to make sure, but i only had 70 tons out 560 tons, which is around 13%. This as a result had me raise my expenses more than it took away from the dump. Thanks.

    FANTA1990 Presents: With so many sims becoming earth conscious, the need to transport recyclable material has skyrocketed. Whether destined as next week's newspaper or a sugary soda can, it first must find its way to a specialized sanitation facility. The obvious route from curbside to sorting shed is by road on trucks purpose built to haul the ugly, smelly cargo. Two heavy duty rigs, one for presorted debris and another for bulk refuse have been submitted to Waste Management for approval. Both are manufactured by GTA IV Motors and come standard with UDI, Night lighting, and props. Since this is essentially an automata reskin, there are no dependencies and no configuration is required. These work horses fit right in with any custom recycling center and will literally take a load off your overworked Garbage trucks, including Fanta's own Authentic Garbage Truck.     Well, this post is fomed of some pictures I recycled from my recent forum entry and a brand new, exciting, fricking, mega-hyper-dyper new picture!!!!!1eleven! Oh my gosh, it's such a perfectly lazy way to post new Journal entries! Now seriously, I worked on a city today but I only got one new picture, and because I don't think it makes sense to post multiple times only one picture in a mostly weekend-based CJ. Reading the Update 8 notes, and I quote : "Recycling and Garbage: Trucks now operate 24 hours a day " end of QUOTE As in several of my cities, despite having 32 trucks (both for recycling and garbage collecting) I have a lot of problems with that part of the "simulation" (for lack of a more accurate term) I was delighted to learn that they were finally addressing the problem... That is until I tested the patch... Methodology : I've tried two things 1- Without any modifications, I loaded the problematic city, opened the garbage map, and let the game play 3 game days and watched. Well, trucks (garbage AND recycling) went out around 6am and came back to garages around 11am having collected only 980 or so garbage cans on a total of 4800 available, and recycling is worst with 7800 or so recycling bins on a total of 55000 or so available 2- Then I tried the old trick of deleting the trucks garages for both garbage and recycing, and let the game play another 3 game days just to be on the safe side.... SAME thing happenned the trucks come back to the garage at 11am and DO NOT GO BACK on the streets till the next morning.... So much for "operating 24 hours a day" ! ! !   14. I decided to come back to SimCity after a few months off. I have spent 77 hours in the game recently. I have four cities in a region, and total local region size of close to a million sims. First, the bugs: I'm playing by myself in sandbox mode. I have lost multiple gifts in the millions of $s from one city to the other. This problem alone has almost bankrupted the whole region and trashed hours of my time. Additionally, the recycling trucks being shared aren't traveling from their city of origin to the city they are assigned to. Shared services like sewage are unexpectedly turning off. And finally, though I have train passenger stations in all cities, only one city shows sims using the service - 25,000 a day. All the other cities show 0 passengers. Oh - and the game crashes about once an hour. Besides these bugs, which have made the game nearly unplayable, I have several suggestions for how this game needs to be modified. 1. Mass transportation is not nearly effective enough given city size and building footprint. I have four cities. In just one of those cities, I have: a passenger train station, a regional bus station, three smaller bus stations, four park and rides, and a streetcar system - it's a city of 250,000. In just this one city, there are 32 buses, 8 streetcars, 12 streetcar stops, 35 bus stops, and a train station. Park and rides are located in residential areas. Bus stops are planted throughout all the cities and all routes are green with coverage. This is the same setup for all three other cities. And yet, I only have about 55,000 sims using mass transit for the entire region of almost 1 million! That's ridiculous. I've used up almost 8% of land area on mass transit, not including roads. And since I've heard that each city can grow up to 500,000, and yet I've pretty much maxed out mass transit, but traffic is horrible, there is only one reasonable answer: The number of sims using mass transit needs to be increased by a factor of 10 to work properly! 2. Recycling centers are constantly warning that their lines are full. I have two plastic lines, one metal line and one alloy line at one plant. I have 8 pickup trucks and 4 delivery trucks at that plant. I then have three trade depots that include 6 plastic warehouses, 2 alloy warehouses and 2 metal warehouses. The recycling center is close to the trade depots and set up to export everything. And yet, I get constant warnings that my recycling centers are backed up. If I'm that maxed out, this shouldn't happen. Deliveries to trade depots from recycling centers need to happen 2X more often and exports from trade depots need to follow. 3. The whole trash and recycling system is completely flawed. Some days only some trucks will go out, or none will go out at all. There is no warning system in place when trash is piling up until it is WAY too late to fix the problem. If your trucks miss even 1 bag of trash a day, that will eventually add up until you have tens of thousands of bags destroying your city. Recycling for a city of 250,000 can't be covered with a fleet of 42 recycling trucks - that alone is completely wrong. The recycling stacks up and pisses off my sims, and yet there is nothing I can do to get rid of it short of creating a new city that does nothing but recycle. But oh wait! My city with all the recycling trucks only occasionally gets their trucks over to my city that needs help. And do not tell me that's because of traffic. See point 1, above. I've done everything beyond reason to max out mass transportation. Recycling MUST be limited to the amount of material that can be picked up by the trucks you have available, no matter how many or how few trucks there are. 4. You cannot schedule when your recycling and trash trucks go out. This means they always go out during max traffic hours, unstaggered. We need to be able to schedule when trash trucks go out. And even better, assign an area for them to clean up and the city needs to show you when you don't have enough trash and recycling set up to cover the needs of the current population. This must update when populations increase, or trash and recycling need to be able to magically pick up everything in the area they've been assigned regardless of population growth. 5. You can't reasonably figure out how to plop a trade port and dock. I spent almost a million dollars, setting up trade ports, only to find out that no dock could support it, then destroy it to set it up somewhere else where *fingers crossed* the dock could also work. Plopping a trade port needs to be able to happen without a road being present - the road can be put down later - AND it needs to show where the dock could go, and confirm that the dock can be plopped in that area as well. Ok - wall of text done. I think this game could still be awesome. It's addictive. But it's so deeply flawed, that I can't keep playing it without it driving me insane.
  15. Hello All, I'm looking for some assistance with this issue. I've been noticing a strange issue with recycling in my processor city, but I'm not sure if it's an issue that has happened to any of you fellow players. I need to import crap tons of alloy and plastic for my factories and such, but I figured to cut down the costs, I could produce plastic and alloy from the recycling center. So long story short, I have noticed that recycling collection stops precisely at 4:00pm everyday, having collected only 8k/40k recycle bins. I have 2 recycle centers with the max amount of collection trucks, and as I watch them, they don't form a brigade and travel around as a pack. They collect the way they're supposed to, just not nearly enough to produce the materials I need. I thought the patch would've helped but maybe it created more problems..any advice? Thoughts?
  16. I've got a recycling center up in my population of 80k (true pop numbers due to modding), and have at them moment 4-hats education. They produce about 20k recyclables every day, however, it seems my trucks can't puck up even 6k/20k of my recyclables, and I have fully upgraded the number of recycling trucks. My recycling center almost never goes to max capacity on recyclables, and it only usually happens when all the trucks come in at the same time. I've also been noticing trucks just completely drive by a WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD with a large amount of recyclables, only to U turn and pick up .5 tons... Is there any way to remedy this?
