  1. In other words, I want to learn about traffic planning, from early to late game. Thanks.
  2. Thanks. I appreciate your help. But, I think it's not enough yet. Speaking of industries, where should I place industries realistically? In busy area? Or, in far mountain or other places? (As long as the pollution is controllable). I want the industries to employ as many as people as possible (indicated by the number of people go into the factory using the traffic query) and those people can reach the industry so they don't go unemployed. Sorry for my word. Thanks.
  3. Okay, I want to ask. Maybe, this question is slightly off-topic. We know 0% tax and I have made a topic about it. But, it's impossible. So, what should I do to make money while keeping the demand as flexible as without tax? Thanks.
  4. Petitioners and advisers?

Advisors are built in SimCity 4. You can just click a button with person face on it. They are also appear if you have problems or if they have suggestions. If you want "advanced" one, you can use MySims, explained above by @CorinaMarie. Thanks.
  5. Hello, I am playing my city in my experiment region. But, something strange is happening: my residents only have 20,000 to even 10,000-ish average income and it is very fluctuating. One year I got increase and the next year I got decrease. I have 236,000 all-R$$$ residents, 900,000 all-CO$$$ office jobs, and 50,000 all-CS$$$ commercial jobs. My education is almost 200 and the life expectancy is around 90 years. I also has 0,5 seconds of commute time. This should make my residents get around 300,000 income units (I think it's simolean), but it didn't. I tried to replace my old population with young ones with rebuilding residential. But, it didn't work. Why do my residents only get around 20,000-ish average income? Sorry for my abstract language. Thanks.
  6. The Milestone Thread

    404 - Rank Not Found.
  7. Sorry for late reply. My computer is a 4th-gen i3 laptop with 4 gigs of RAM and 500 gigs of mechanical drive running Windows 10. Does this configuration affects the simulation and the average residential income calculation? Thanks.
  8. What are another source of income that give significant profit? I'm not talking about increasing tax rates, income offset mod, BSC Funding, legalize gambling, moolah every month, or any kind of business deals (including the Friendly ones on STEX). Toll booths? Mass transits? Paid road (thru TSCT)? Thanks.
  9. The bottom 20% of residents only account for 10% tax while the next 80% account for a whopping 91%. What more insane is the top 10% account for 30% tax revenue. If we split the tax equally to the top 10%, they will account for 0,3 simoleans. Compared to the next 70% who account for 0,1 simoleans each and the next 10% who account for 0,078 simoleans. The bottom 200 business only account for $36, while the next 54,000 account for $3,286 and the top 121,000 account for $33,612. The largest tax payer group per business is the high-wealth shops and offices which account for 0,27 simoleans each. The second is surprisingly, the low-wealth shops which account for $0,18 each. The last is the medium-wealth shops and offices which account for $0,06 each. The dirty industries only accounts for minuscule amount of tax revenue. The top 70% account for 70% tax revenue. The next 30% account for 30% tax revenue. If we equally split the tax obligation to industries, the largest group is the top 70% with the members account for 0,281 simoleans. The closest competitor is the next 30% which account for 0,23 simoleans each. The top sector is the residential which accounts for 56.38%, followed by the commercial which accounts for 30.16% and the industry which accounts for 13.46%. Diversification of income is needed although it's hard thing to do. One can increase the number of the commercial and/or industry while keeping the tax favorable for those groups. Another way is to build public transport and/or tolls. Of course, you can have business deals, with some negative effects ofc (except if they're friendly ones). Thanks.
  10. In the picture, the industrial buildings in your industrial complex have been changed from dirty to hitech ones. As far as I know, this can be possible with really low tax rates for I-HT and highly educated middle-class or higher-class citizen. Planting trees also helps. What I observe from the pictures and the description are you don't plant trees probably, the tax isn't set too low, lots of skyscrapers, and you have cap-lifting buildings: stadium, stock exchange. So, my guess is you may have a radical growth mod. Maybe, you installed the Radical Demand Mod. Or, you may installed CAM with Skyscraper configuration. This is my guess. If others want to add, please reply here. Thanks.
  11. The Milestone Thread

@CorinaMarie now has 13,000 reps in February 13. What a nice day and number.
  12. Hello, I have seen a wish to buy SimCity 4 from EA by Simtropolis. This will make SimCity 4 open source and we can develop the game even further. But, there are challenges: legal and finance. With enough money, the former can be solved, but not vice versa. So, I want to ask, how much powerful are we financially? I know Simtropolis has the right not to disclose certain parts of financial info because we aren't obligated to do so. But, I want the general idea. Maybe, the money is enough to run the site and nothing else. Or, we may have lots of money laying around but we don't use it. Sorry for my words. Thanks.
  13. Hello, My city is a medium city with lots of commercial offices. I mean, 1,200,000+ of commercial office CAP. Currently, I have some growth. As you might guess, this growth isn't forever. I'm using Maxis buildings. So, I need CO$$$ buildings that has more jobs than Hurt Enterprise (more than 8,000), comes in 4x4 size (other sizes are allowed, though), and CAM compatible in order to sustain growth. Can you help me find the buildings? Thanks.
  14. Hello everyone, After hiatus, I decided to make a post. This time, I want to post things that people have encountered recently, neighbor connection bugs. I was (and still) in a personal project. This is the list of neighbor connection bugs. Before I start, I have to show you my region. Sorry for not describing the connections in detail due to time constraints. Okay, let's start. WHAT? I was getting $40,000-ish income/mo and suddenly became $928,466,122/mo. My bank grew exponentially, from around $1,000,000 to absurd $2,786,146,410. Wow, LOTS of money from SimNation, my friends! My finance advisor was EXTREMELY HAPPY with this situation. Why were they calling me Prince of Darkness? There's clearly a power pole and the pole is connected to the grid but I can't made a deal. I lost a large amount of industry. Thank you, my neighbors! Why did the commute time dropped? I just upgraded the road to an avenue and it's problematic. After some work, it's solved. But, I have to lose residential capacities significantly due to traffic problem. What do you think? If you have problems regarding neighbor connection, you can reply here. Sorry for my mistakes. Thanks.
  15. Avenue Roundabout Megapack

    Amazing! Keep the quality up!
  16. I have made some changes. Here are the pictures. Note that I'm using Census Repository (and its tower) and BSC Funding: I hope you can analyze the details. Thanks.
  17. If you look the Graphs tab of the Mayor Panel, you will see a graph callee Avg Res Income. That's what I mean. Regarding unemployment, that was an issue in the first 100 years but now (year 300), that's not an issue anymore. I have 200K R$$$ and a million $$$ commercial jobs. I do have a majority of population with age of 50-60 years. Thanks.
  18. I have the Census Repository mod from RippleJet. My mayor rating is negative when I bulldoze almost all the census tower because it's ruining my city aesthetic and most importantly, taking up valuable space. I don't know this affects or not. Thanks.
  19. But, I have a question. My residents education is ~200 and the life expectancy is 90 years and even at one point, 95 years. That's impressive even for real life. But, why on earth my residents income is $20,000, and can even get lower to $5,000? Another question, is the residential income an important thing in SimCity 4? Is the income an annual income? Thanks.
  20. To clarify, I built my city with high-density residential and commercial and zero tax for R$$$ and CO$$$. So, I can get 200K R$$$ and 900K CO$$$ in a medium city. Thanks.
  21. What an awesome discovery. I hope it is useful for example, as a building block or to add building style other than the Maxis 4. Thanks.
  22. CoriBoom Cori's Parks Aura

Nice work, @CorinaMarie and @Cyclone Boom. I will try it soon.
  23. Hello, Since 2015, HDR monitors are going mainstream. Availability of HDR monitors made Microsoft implemented HDR in Windows 10. We know that SimCity 4 supports 2 mode of color: 16-bit and 32-bit. With the support of 32-bit color, does SimCity 4 supports HDR? Or, maybe 32-bit color means other thing? Thanks.
  24. I like the Maxis color scheme. Thanks.
