Guys, could you recommend a reliable site with screensavers for download? By reliable I mean one that does not embed "snifulas" or trojans to a download, or adbots with horny-voiced grrrls warning to "not open this game if you are < 18 y/o".

Never had a problem like this. Right from launch (Steam), my screen is pushed over to the left while about about 25% of the right is black. Everything was fine until I downloaded this along with all the dependencies: This building requires 2 coal plant files, and I've tried launching with and without them in plugins, to no avail. Interestingly, I went ahead and built the plant and it seemed to work fine. I'd appreciate any help, thanks.

Hello, Since 2015, HDR monitors are going mainstream. Availability of HDR monitors made Microsoft implemented HDR in Windows 10. We know that SimCity 4 supports 2 mode of color: 16-bit and 32-bit. With the support of 32-bit color, does SimCity 4 supports HDR? Or, maybe 32-bit color means other thing? Thanks.

Hi Everyone I run my games usually in standard 1080 but with SC4 the game looks really dated and kind of stretched out and blurred. I was watching a video yesterday and noticed that his SC4 looked sharp and really clear. I know SC4 defaults to 1080 but I would like mine to look as crisp as his. Is it a mod or does he have a different resolution as I suspect. What Res do you guys run the game in ? Thanks For Reading Odin

Hey everyone, I need some advice. I have been out of the PC desktop world (at home) for some time and I have been getting the bug to start playing games like Cities and SimCity (I have not played in several years). I really am lost when it comes to specs needed. My main purpose for the pc itself would be for games like this and downloading mods. My laptop serves my needs for all other work that I do from home. I don''t have an interest in any other type of gaming other than these city building types. So... if my budget was 1,000 - 1.500 USD what would you recommend on specs with PC etc. and monitor. Thanks

Hello fellow citybuilders, I just found out that you can play our good old SimCity 3000 in HD... and thought that documenting the procedue would be a good idea. Here's the short version (can be found here : http://www.wsgf.org/dr/SimCity-3000/en) And here's a more visual version, because some people might feel intimidated by the "hex editor" part. First you need a Hex editor, a good choice is Hxd Hex Editor, that you can download from here : https://mh-nexus.de/en/downloads.php?product=HxD Once downloaded and installed let's get to work. You'll need to work on a game file, so I suggest you make a backup of it or work on a copy of the file. Launch Hxd Hex editor and open the SC3.EXE or SC3U.EXE (it's in the "Apps" directory of the installation location of the game). Search for 8b 4c 24 04 8b 44 24 08 53 - you will need to change the datatype to "Hex-values" Now just replace the first four bytes by c2 08 00 90 in the editor (place the cursor at the beginning of the sequence and type) Repeat the same operation : Search for 8b 4c 24 04 8b 54 24 08 81 f9 Replace the first four with c2 08 00 90 again Now save the file. If you worked on the original it's done, if you worked on a copy you will need to replace the original file with the one you've modified. Launch the game, in the preferences you will now see all the resolutions your GPU can support being listed : Enjoy your SimCity 3K now in HD : (Note: The intro video works perfectly on Win 10 for me).

I was wondering if it was possible to run the game in 1920x1080 resolution, the game caps out at 1600x1200 in my menu but I've heard of people running at widescreen resolutions by adding instructions to the .exe target line in other games. Was just wondering if anyone has heard of this with SC4. Thanks.
