Wasn't sure where to put this screenshot but as it has a big bridge in it, why not revive a thread? Sankt-Lorenz, a community part of Rehnemund, with a double Walt Whitman bridge by Jerenable in the background.
-
Apple orchards on the slopes of the seaside hills in Sankt-Lorenz, a part of the city of Rehnemund.
-
Two screenshots of Rehnemund's skyline (the main part of it anyway) from rather close by. The buildings at the riverfront are mainly for premium downtown living, the ones further behind are more and more offices and some retail. The blue building that's in both shots is the Bluerise Plaza from SC3K and the highest in the city.
-
Two interchanges from my city Rehnemund. I've been working on it since the release of Mass Transit and it has reached about 210k cims now. Topmost screenie is the intersection between the (half) ring road, the airport and the main highway through the city. Second one shows the (half) ring road mentioned a while further along it intersecting with a spur connecting to the harbor and downtown as well as a seaside community (the normal road going down).

Amazing work! You really make some very beautiful things with C:S! Better than I could ever find the patience and skill to do. -

Good to have you back! I'd say the time-out did you good as far as C:S-citybuilding and -CJ'ing is concerned. Pictures look even better than before! -

RICO to Glowable ?
Qorten replied to The rock the motard's topic in Cities: Skylines General Discussion
Maybe, but certainly only on buildings that are 4*4 squares or less. -
Another superb entry! Keep it up!

I think you dealt your MMP-aversion a knockout blow. Nice job! -

From the album Night Scenes (S3-12-E)
Looking at the Apostel Paulus Kirche and the colourful Minsel Ferris wheel from across (a part) of the river Rehne. Full highres image here in description. (not edited in any way) -
Paid mods? Or paid extra features?
Qorten replied to boformer's topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
On XLNation (for Cities(X)XL, they use(d) to do a Christmas/Newyears building pack (3 or 4 buildings only, but higher than normal quality, from two or three modders). You only got access to the buildings when you donated what you could/would afford. Although that income wasn't used to pay the modders, rather to pay upkeep for the website. Maybe that idea can be transformed into something similar for CSL modders. -
Less on- and offramps on your highway, less traffic lights, more roundabouts, especially on avenue/avenue-intersections and intersections with 5 or more possible directions. Also, on that roundabout in the screenshot and any road if possible, try using longer stretches between intersections.

The images in your latest post are broken for me. Otherwise a nice CJ! -
From the album Thrilling Traffic (S3-09-W)
The area around this on- and offramp of the L188 in Mitteck is currently one of the busiest places in the city. Apart from the middle of the night, cims can expect traffic like this at any time of day. -
Given that voting wasn't/isn't open yet I took the opportunity to post a bridge picture half an hour ago (so a little more then a day too late). No idea if it will be accepted. Apologies if entering too late is looked down upon.

From the album Bridge Bonanza (S3-07-W)
The A1 highway bridge in Mitteck, crossing the Ahre river from the south into the central Minsel district, with two double rail lines going underneath. In the distance a smaller bridge can be seen used by inner city traffic. -
It's the first time I participate and follow one of these challenges, but it seemed a little odd that nobody even got a 4, while some were definitely worthy IMHO (not necessarily my own, but one can hope). Given the fairly low activity compared to years ago on this site it seemed also like there were an unusual amount of votes in an unusually short amount of time. Who rigs an event that can win you nothing but a bit of reputation? Congrats to the moderators for finding out and fixing this!

Entry 28 - The Big Sights (5E135)
Qorten commented on Linoa06's City Journal Entry in Skylines of Cathnoquey
Yours is definitely the best Skylines CJ by far, so far! Very nice how you use a fantasy setting and turn it into something contemporary, not to mention the as realistic as they Skylineswise can come cities you build. -
Damn, you really know how to make gorgeous cities!

It's actually 'mayor', not 'major'. Furthermore I'd like to say that you've a very nice CJ going on here. Keep it up!
