The next updates from Perseus now I've showcased Passau Island will come from the Illford West area of Passau that you've seen in previous updates (Update 1 and 2 and Hospital etc.). Unfortunately this game file has serious problems and errors so I've had to move on from it as any new saves result in corruption once it reaches a file size of 12.5mb.

I have been able to do a little work on a backed-up file and take some images but they are not up to my standard but I want to show them regardless as a lot of work went into this city tile and I'm actually quite sad I can't finish it properly and particularly spend a lot of time on MMP work such as people plopping.

Proper update in a week or two but teaser of what you can expect...

Hang on. Does that still happen even with the SC4 Fix? Does the game really start experiencing corruption when the city file exceeds 12.5 MB (+/-)? Can anyone else comment?

I've been playing with some MMP's recommended by @Tyberius06 and @Simmer2. Quite happy with them! Thanks again!!5d560089dfcf0_SimCity48_15_20196_44_08AM.png.a2891a0c02bfea5d8e1432b2449d1ef3.png

Another cool thing about using Chrisadams3997 pasture flora are the texture MMPs: the grass and clover. They make for a good green base- which you have appeared to have done already.

For ground textures and earth you may like Ionionion's OMCO gravel (the brown dirt is great for forest floors), Heblem's gravel (all around great for paths and earth) and SFBT paths (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=3455) which are a combination of street cobble textures, tarmac and earth MMPs.

Street grid 4x8 works mostly 5x8 for some wider building aswell extending 4x9 does work for some so this aswell a excersize in finding the perfect grid !

Most are on STEX or SC4Devotion LEX, these are Newyork only so look for this first !  NDEX, NYBT, ESP15, Schriever, others have a look at their pages first !

Enjoy !

I would like to share what I've been working on but it's rather difficult to do so, no really cool pics and such.

My MB died on me about a week ago.  I replaced it but found that my HD was corrupted so I had to replace it and reinstall windows.  I didn't have a current copy of my game plugins and regions backed up so I reinstalled an older backup and found that my main city, St. Williams Bay was corrupt so I basically lost everything concerning my current game.  I still have the region so I can start all over.  I did, however, decide to take this time to reorganize and restructure my plugin folder as well as my download folders so I have been working on that these past couple of days.  I have so much stuff to move around and restructure it's crazy, this might take awhile.

Oh well, off to the restructuring I go.:bunny:

@PaPa-J

Been there -- done that -- nearly drove myself insane !!  *

If it's any consolation -- most things don't last forever in this game.  SC4 has a monstrous-large following and many inventive talents among the players.  It is in a constant state of evolution, and even small changes can make it impossible to go back to past map tiles.  You're better off getting the reorganization done, and then starting fresh with a cleaned-out plugins folder and streamlined drop-down menus.

I feel for you -- Good luck to you, Mate !

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

Loosing everything gameplay, downloads brings tears to my eyes two ! Cloud gaming is less for me as there´s no real control over the data. Beside such set backs I gruwel about the day this game will die non playable by more modern operating systems As well backup´s I  got a iso of Win 8 and a retail of Win XP still available. Triple PC´s  Double copies on the sysem and DVD and a seperate backup drive to conclude every thing to make  shure off !

Did you test your power supply? Whenever any component of a PC fails, always ask if the power supply could be the real culprit. Weak and/or "noisy"  power can make any downstream component look as if it failing, with main boards and disks being the most common victims.

Unless you saw sparks / smoke etc coming off your "bad" MB, you should try replacing the PS with something more newer / better / more powerful to see if it suddenly starts working again. Likewise the "bad" HD.

Never gave it a thought.  The power supply is only about 3-4 months old but it very well could be problematic.
