Views from across West Illford -Part 2

Thanks everyone for your fantastic feedback and comments! I'll post personal replies in a few days.

Part two below! The next update will likely be of the new sports complex that is glimpsed in picture 25. I'm just finishing that off and adding trees and so on.

I really like what you have created, it looks very planned and British but not quite, something a bit unique given Perseus' location and more recent history. Looking forward to seeing the next update

Rythme of variation of several resedential and commercial sets, with a mega mall makes it a mrarvelous suburb, recreational lake with those mmp´s make it awesome, looking forward to comment, well done !

I like your mall layout and the pond below it, and I'll gladly take an apt. with a view of the lake.  I really like 10 and 25

As usual I like your selection of buildings and their layout.. Eastern European or British, it all looks very suburbany. And that River Rock Mall rocks !:-)

I love how the neighborhoods are broken up by different style houses . Great entry . I think I like images 3 and 12 the best . Cool little houses and one heck of a mall with plenty of parking .

That's a great mix of high & low rises all well blended in with plenty of commerce & recreational area nearby to boot. Nothing missing there, definitely looks like it would be a pleasant place to live. On another note any chance you remember where you found the long beige apartment seen in images 4 & the orange one in image 11?

The long one in image 4 is the Pripiat Long Block by @SimHoTToDDy

He has a few similar buildings as well.

The orange one in image 11 is a Japanese apartment set. I'll need to check that one further as I can't recall exactly where I found it.

As I commented in SC4D; well done again. It is a great mix of British/European awesomeness.

Nice update! I enjoyed it very much! What I would probably bother you about is picture 6. Apparently, in the t crossing (the avenue one), you have set a piece in the middle that adds a turning lane, yet you did not put the piece that actually covers the T intersection itself, which translates into a turning lane going nowhere because there is a piece of sidewalk right in front of it!!  I know.. so annoying.. But I had to say it.. it was kiiiiiiilliiiiiing me.

On the other hand, again, fantastic update! I really appreciate all the effort you put into this cj, which obviously translates into the great pictures you put on!

I know, that lane is annoying me, I didn't even see it until I posted the picture. I'd rather the turning lane not be there at all as I don't see the point of it.I'll have to have a look at that junction next time I load the city and fix. Ideally I'd rather just have the slip lanes alone. I very rarely use these pieces as you can tell :D

@kschmidt @aegian @takemethere

There's a few of the apartment buildings here - http://www5.pf-x.net/~gobanboshi/

Click on the 'Simcity' tab on the right and then on 日本型建築スタイル保管所 to access the apartment/residential BATs

A few more are from Somy - http://somy.gozaru.jp/p7.htm and http://members3.jcom.home.ne.jp/somy000/p9.htm

The diagonal apartment blocks are props from the Somy set.

Thank you, I must  admit at sometime I may have scrolled through Somy´s site; These Somy BATS with diagonals http://members3.jcom.home.ne.jp/somy000/index.htm I already spoted and suspected they would be very close too; so close I didn´t expect it to be let´s say when you have the model files yoou can do anything with it. Usage or seeing it in a different compostiton makes it rather confusing, there so close to the Post WW2 European style, British do have them aswell some kind.

Thank you,

Sincerely yours,

kschmidt
