  1. Cape York / Blue Summit

    Version 1.0.0

Hi everybody, I created this map two years ago to start a new region, I'm still working on my cities because this map simply gives a lot of space and (to me) is still interesting to build on. Two years after making this I still haven't changed a lot since putting it into use.... Making this map alone took quite some time...So I thought If I like it (and I'm very picky about maps -that's why I originally started this project) maybe some people would like to try this also. So this is my map of Cape York or Blue Summit (still can't decide which name is better... what do you think?). It's 11x13 huge tiles. That's 44kmx52km = 2.288 km²! It's loosely inspired by the region of Eureka, CA and Astoria, OR mixed together with the mountains of Olympic National Park, WA. Maybe I even used original map data and somehow meshed it together with paint, I can't even remember. Expect a very complex river delta made from three rivers confluencing in this region, very extensive riparian and zones and marsh inland, lots of plain space to build on. Many possibles sites for a harbour of biggest dimensions, marinas, "Manhattan-like" island downtowns, suburbs all the way up to the horizon, international airports, it all fits on this map. I'm using the CPT_OlympicTerrainMod http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1637 ( with Columbus Terrain Mod as dependency...?) I recommend very much the CPT_No7a_OlympicCoast_TreeController http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1638 if you plan to set it in the Pacific Northwest. I also like RVT Coastal Mod - by rivit http://workingman-productions.co.uk/downloads/rivit_coastal.html. The grey Beach fits quite well to the Pacific northwest I suppose. Rivit's Coastal Mod has some nice choices for water, as well. Until now I couldn't decide though which is the perfect water for it, would love to hear some recommendations. I also use the excellent: It comes as greyscale-png and .sc4m file, so you can alter it beforehand. I've to admit there's some blind spots in the most eastern border, but I literally lost all creativity shortly before reaching the finish line But it's a really small area, you won't settle there a long time. Maybe I can post a rendered screen if there's demand... Have fun with this one

  6. Delta Region

This is a random region I created. It is based on river delta of two large rivers with a canal. I made it extremly flat to build large, dense cities on. Use SC4 Mapper or Terraformer to put it into the game, config.bmp is included, but you may rearrange the config ...

  10. The Emerald Delta is a chain of islands. Most of the islands are inhabited and only reachable by ferry. The area is mostly composed of suburban houses, but there are some big businesses that reside their headquarters here. An overview of the city. A ferry making a crossing between two islands. An Embassy. A Coast Guard Station. A station like this will make patrolling the islands easier.
  11. Hello everybody. Today I am presenting you Puglia International Airport at Puglia Country. Firstly where is this imaginary country? It is located on Pasific ocean at 550 km (340 miles) west of Los Angeles. Puglia Country is actually the 51 st state of United States of America. Anyway Puglia International is really important form Puglia Country citizens. Thats why the citizens want to have one of the best airport in their country. This airport has 4 runways. Runway 17/35 is available for all kind of aircrafts for landing and takeoff BUT because of the mountains at approaching from 35, only small aircrafts can land from 35. Runway 09/27 is the longest and newest runway of the airport. Also this runway is perpendicular to all other 3 runways. Runway 18L/36R and 18R/36L are the oldest runways of the airport. Only professional or experienced pilots were allowed to takeoff/land B747 and B777 when there were only these 2 runways. Still today big aircrafts like B747 and B777 cannot land and take off from 18R/36L. PART 1 : Domestic Terminal / Small Aircraft Area / Aircraft Fuel Center This is domectic terminal. It has 54 spots for MD80, MD90, small commuter jets, B737 and Airbus A320/321. The terminal is parallel to Runway 17/35. So that these small aircrafts can land and takeoff without entering the international terminal's ground traffic. The biggest customers of this terminal are Delta Airlines, American Airlines, Virgin, Continental, United and U.S. Airways. The carpark is allowed more than 2000 cars. Fuel center and small aircraft area. This area is at north of the domestic terminal. The Fuel Center is created by myself on SC4 Lot Editor. The airport is creating its own aircraft fuel and sell it to airline companies with less expensive. So that airline companies can use bigger aircrafts like B777 and B747. This is also bring more tourists to country. Now let me you with other photos of domestic terminal ON THE NEXT EPISODE OF PUGLIA INTERNATIONAL PART 2. Cargo Terminal and Aircraft Parking Area. I hope you enjoyed.

My first-ever map, so bear with me.. ;-) Finally, it's my turn to give something back to the community! Based on an atlas-screenshot, i drew new coastlines, created lakes, meandering rivers, sudden mountains and cliffs and tempting delta's. The config-file is drawn in such a way, that you will always have 'complete pieces' in your large city tile. For example: the river that's clefting the mountain-peaks in the west of the map, isn't spreaded over two or more tiles.. A big part is easy flatland, though - especially the Netherlands in the south-east of the map. Being Dutch myself, yes: I know the drawing isn't accurate, and our coastline isn't that rough.. ;-) Feedback VERY much appreciated - I'm slowly getting the hang of it, can't wait to create the next one! Easy install by using the SC4-mapper..!
