The first image from my latest project comes from the Orthodox Township of Prowersville. This fun park was built in 1998 as the answer to Taylorsville's legendary "Great Times" amusement park. It has a retail park to the north of it and a planned residential neighborhood to its east. Ever since the Hotels have been built in 2005, Orthodox Fun Park has been pulling in 12 Million Sterlings per year.

Situated comfortable within the warm waters of the Pacific ocean, Kitsune Island provides the best of the ring of fire with plenty of places to build your cities, a view of the chroma mountains in the center, and miles of lush beaches to build your city on. Who wouldn't want to be on this tropical paradise? I'm sure your sims will agree with us.- 3 Comments

Welcome to Delphox Coast. This map is a 5x5 map with lush beaches, an island in the southwest, a Delta feeding into the Lucario sea that cradles downtown within its waters, and mountain ranges to either side. This map can provide an incredibly diverse playthrough, and is one of my better creations in my opinion.- 1 Comment

OK... long time no talk. It's time for a 3-year SC4 Hiatus to end. I'm looking forward to getting back into SC4 and maybe even picking up SC3K soon.
I'm back, slightly rebranded, and ready to come home.

Since I don't intend on changing my profile again for the foreseeable future (Most likely never again, since I finally found a name nobody else has taken) I'll get in on the fun. Name: FoxieHikari Gender: Male Zodiac Sign: Sagittarius Not sure if this is an old thread by the way, I'm sorry if this is a necropost. -

Worlds on the Edge
FoxieHikari commented on SecretMbr_735754's City Journal Entry in NorthWest Coastal Metropolis
Well, I would have included the Yellowstone Supervolcano as well. If nuclear war does not get us, the infamous Yellowstone is predicted to obliterate everything west of the Mississippi River and put the remainder of the world in a deadly volcanic winter. It's due to happen anywhere from 2025-2075, and even if we don't go extinct, there will only be a few thousand humans remaining, and they would die off not having the luxury of civilization. If it were up to me, the doomsday clock would be 45 seconds to midnight.- 9 Comments

The Sparkle Kingdom is back! New and improved, with more realistic and lifelike terrain than ever. There are now 17 islands in total in this 36 city tile area, 10 major islands and 7 minor islands.... so there is a lot of islands to make as many beach resorts you want, but be wary! There are five volcanoes on the island chain, three of which are very active, and two which are dormant, so choose your building spots carefully. One wrong move, and your entire city could be burning in lava and buried in ash... Hope you have fun with this, and one more thing regarding the city journal. Updates will resume weekly schedule on Saturday, November 12, 2016. -
Ever wanted to build your own SparkleCity, but just can't find the tropical textures I use as of 10/30/2016? Well, look no further than here. Also, all SC3000 textures have been eliminated from this thread for quality purposes. Welcome to Lynx's Tropical Shoppe First, we are going to start with some decent tropical terrain. I have only found one on the STEX, so there isn't much of a selection here, unfortunately. Next we have some water stuff, three great looking water plugins to choose from here, as it is easier to find water plugins on the STEX. More specifically, Tropical Water. Make sure to pick only one or you will experience severe corruption. Next, some beach textures... The most tropical looking is the white sand beach, and quite frankly, it also looks amazing.Only one plugin to choose from here again, unfortunately. Now we have the largest selection of them all, the trees collection. Six tree packages here to select from, and you can use more than one, but don't try to use them all, or you'll experience severe corruption in the form of CTDs. If you have any additions to make, feel free to submit them, as this is not complete. Thanks for visiting the Tropical Shoppe! New stuff is available every day.

@APSMS As always, I can rely on you for good advice. Whether it be my city journal, map making, or realistic climates. You are definitely a valuable resource to my projects and all of the ST community. @Angry Mozart I did not know that they had tropical beach props, this will be useful to many new users and longtime players who happen to stumble upon this thread. As always, the additions are great, and I cannot do this myself, so I will need every bit of help I can get. Thanks!

Where can I find the Offline Mod ?
FoxieHikari replied to Mattness's topic in SimCity (2013) Modding - Open Discussion
Offline is a game mode in the new simcity. Just launch the game and select singleplayer, and you're good to go -
From the album Waterside (S3-17-W)
The new boardwalk in downtown Prowersville, has been attracting citizens from all over the city. A lot of tourists have been drawn to this location as well, especially to swim in Sparkle's warm tropical waters,. The rich primarily turn their attention to the marina in the west, as you can catch a yacht ride to other islands, or even take one to purchase your own private vacation island. At night, the beach thrives with adult furry entertainment, and the boardwalk has a nightly Fur Con on its food court. The lights at night are often reported to be illuminating, especially at midnight, and can attract a lot of residents 21 or older. Once morning arrives, the children are allowed again, and swimming can resume as normal at 11AM. Hotels are planed to replace some abandoned coastal homes, to put tourists closer to the beach area. -
Boy, it sure is dead today. Anyone on on Sundays?

Hopefully not, but chat has been dead a lot lately. Speaking of tests, I'm on fall break, so plenty of time for me to update my CJ, SparkleCity. Oh, and something big is coming on that front Oct. 16, given that's National Tails Day.
-
-
That's true. Expect an update on Thursday beforehand too. If you Wikipedia "Tails Prower", October 16, 1992 was the day Sonic 2 was released in North America. This is why the date is what it is.

May you rest peacefully with God, Nonny. We'll never forget you, and thanks for everything. It was great to have you here. :'(

This is ultimately very sad, but 79 years isn't too bad. Also, I never knew him personally, as we never chatted or anything, but he was a great member of our community, and one who will be immortalized by this site.

From the album City Overview (S3-13-W)
This is the Prowersville city overview, at night. The city thrives equally at night than day., and quite frankly, its industry districts have the tallest factories in the world.-

This region contains one island, about 416 square kilometers. It was created for my city journal which i'll post a thread about later. It is my first map so constructive criticism is welcome as i'm terrible at terraforming. (Especially mountains) It is also perfect for building a major metropolitan area, building an agricultural nation, or just simply making the equivalent of Hong Kong and maxing out population. (You would have to get rid of the mountains and rivers first) This map has no dependencies, it looks like it is your lucky day. -
From the album Night Scenes (S3-12-E)
The skyline of Prowersville may look nice during the day, but at night, it is absolutely stunning. In Sparkle's city that never sleeps, the corporate executives and working class alike take the night shifts in relative safety, given the crime rate is so low, and the organized crime syndicate, the SouthWest Anarchy Group (S.W.A.G) was defeated just a few years prior. In the morning, expect a lot of people at the McDonald's on the first floor of the Prowersville HQ, eating hash browns and hotcakes.© 2016 TheLynx99. All Rights Reserved.

We all hate them in real life, but they're so fun to build in game. So why don't you show us the best toll road/turnpike you're working on or have completed. They can make a really good subsidization to eternal commute, and make some $$$ for your city.

With SparkleCity's Release on the Horizon, I want to deliver some info that will be of importance to anyone waiting. First of all, not all the city tiles will be complete upon first release... but I will continue work for as long as I can. Second, there are now two turnpikes in the nation, F305 (Orlando Turnpike), and F44 (Centrailia Turnpike). As of tomorrow, there will be 12 days left, and the final countdown is upon us, so if you have any suggestions, whether they be city names, backstory, or anything you want me to add, now is the last chance to speak up! With that being said, I plan to bring you guys 5 dev updates between now and 9/15/2016. Schedule is below: Dev Entry 1: Downtown Prowersville 9/02/2016 8:00 PM Dev Entry 2: Fort Cream 9/05/2016 3:30 PM Dev Entry 3: Hershey Pointe 9/08/2016 2:00 PM Dev Entry 4: Emerald City 9/11/2016 7:00 PM Dev Entry GM: Double Feature: Ashford City and La Fume City 9/14/2016 7:00 PM Start the Countdown, and begin the festivities! See ya there!

Well it's here! With only 55 days to go, i thought i would bring a development update. Below is dev update 1. Beta 1 If you want to call it that. All dev updates will go here, and the final release will be in the actual City Journal Menu. (Between STEX and Gallery) Without further ado, SparkleCity Beta 1 In fall of 1995, the population of Prowersville stood at only 32,000. This was already quick growth, since the city was founded as a US territory in 1994. By the kingdom's independence in October 2006, the population reached over 1.5 Million. Eventually, ten years after that, the population stands at 2.4 Million. (2015 Census: 2,476,375) Below are three pics of the major centers of the city. Each dev update will contain three pics. Part of Downtown Prowersville, A lot of companies have built large complexes consisting of the same building. Several buildings are even copy-pasted all over the place. A large high school: Station Square High School located in downtown. It places the highest on the Sparkle Kingdom College Placement Exams (SKCPE) with a 2270/2500 (91%) Average Score on the exams. Most of the highest placing students go to the University of Prowersville. The Miles Prower Mall, located in the Jasmine Falls township. Since it is 10PM, the mall is closed to anyone under the age of 21. (21 is the legal adult age in the SK) The mall contains a massive 374 stores, and is over 20 million square feet. Any minors caught in the mall after 8:30 PM can be sentenced to up to 2 years in the Juvenile detention center. (With hard labor)

Well... it has been a while... and my decision is made. SparkleCity is being delayed to November 9, 2016. The reason for this delay is I want to have something big to reveal... and not just have 8 city tiles done. (I have 660 now) So this delay will give me more time to nurse this project and make it amazing. I know its highly anticipated... and I want the best for it.

Will This Setup Lead to Commuter Bug?
FoxieHikari replied to mayorgreener's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
@CorinaMarie That's actually a pretty good way to subsidize eternal commute in your region. People will often take toll roads less, and sims are auto-programmed to avoid them. This will result in an ability to find jobs more
