  1. The Sparkle Kingdom SE

    Version 1.0

    913 Downloads

The Sparkle Kingdom is back! New and improved, with more realistic and lifelike terrain than ever. There are now 17 islands in total in this 36 city tile area, 10 major islands and 7 minor islands.... so there is a lot of islands to make as many beach resorts you want, but be wary! There are five volcanoes on the island chain, three of which are very active, and two which are dormant, so choose your building spots carefully. One wrong move, and your entire city could be burning in lava and buried in ash... Hope you have fun with this, and one more thing regarding the city journal. Updates will resume weekly schedule on Saturday, November 12, 2016.
  2. Thriving Boardwalk

    From the album Waterside (S3-17-W)

The new boardwalk in downtown Prowersville, has been attracting citizens from all over the city. A lot of tourists have been drawn to this location as well, especially to swim in Sparkle's warm tropical waters,. The rich primarily turn their attention to the marina in the west, as you can catch a yacht ride to other islands, or even take one to purchase your own private vacation island. At night, the beach thrives with adult furry entertainment, and the boardwalk has a nightly Fur Con on its food court. The lights at night are often reported to be illuminating, especially at midnight, and can attract a lot of residents 21 or older. Once morning arrives, the children are allowed again, and swimming can resume as normal at 11AM. Hotels are planed to replace some abandoned coastal homes, to put tourists closer to the beach area.
  3. Downtown Prowersville: Nightlife

From the album Night Scenes (S3-12-E)

The skyline of Prowersville may look nice during the day, but at night, it is absolutely stunning. In Sparkle's city that never sleeps, the corporate executives and working class alike take the night shifts in relative safety, given the crime rate is so low, and the organized crime syndicate, the SouthWest Anarchy Group (S.W.A.G) was defeated just a few years prior. In the morning, expect a lot of people at the McDonald's on the first floor of the Prowersville HQ, eating hash browns and hotcakes.

  4. The Sparkle Kingdom

    Version 1.3

This region contains one island, about 416 square kilometers. It was created for my city journal which i'll post a thread about later. It is my first map so constructive criticism is welcome as i'm terrible at terraforming. (Especially mountains) It is also perfect for building a major metropolitan area, building an agricultural nation, or just simply making the equivalent of Hong Kong and maxing out population. (You would have to get rid of the mountains and rivers first) This map has no dependencies, it looks like it is your lucky day.
  5. Welcome to the Federal Kingdom of Belsay; an existing state southern of Ireland, south-western of the United kingdom and eastern of France. A state sharing the Bay of Biscay with France and Spain and a state bordering one of the most important sea routes on Earth. The Federal Kingdom of Belsay or, as the French speaking minority calls it, Le Royame Fédérale de Belsaux is one of Europes biggest islands. The federation exists out of two federal states, namely the Federal State of Wistelton (Etat Fédéral de Wistelton) in the north with an English speaking population, and the Federal State of Courteville (Etat Fédéral de Courteville) in the south witn a French speaking popluation. HISTORY A brief history: until the First World War the Island of Belsay was occupied by the United Kingdom and a small part (about 10% in the north) was occupied by Ireland. After the First World War France was capable of occupying the eastern part where already most of the population was orientated towards France. Belsay has been a kingdom since 1500 AC, but has been occupied since 1800 AC. The monarch at that time lived in hostile in Sweden and later Canada. At the beginning of the Second World War the Island of Belsay faces an uprising against the occupation by France, Ireland and the United Kingdom. After a smooth revolution the Island receives independance, with the former British and Irish parts forming the Kingdom of Belsay and the southern part forming the State of Courdeville. The monarch returns at this times and becomes monarch of the English part. In 1950 both parts of the Kingdom reunite in a federation with the former and historical monarch as the head of state. STATISTICS In the entire Kingdom there are approximately 50.000.000 civilians. To give you some references, United Kingdom has 63.000.000, France has 65.000.000, Germany has 82.000.000, Italy has 60.000.000 and Spain has 47.000.000. With this population Belsay is currently the sixth European state by population (including Russia). Courteville, the southern state bordering France, has about 15.000.000 civilians. Wistelton, the northern part bordering Ireland and the United Kingdom, has about 35.000.000 civilians. When we look at the size, Courteville occupies about 20% of the island, where Wistelton occupies about 80%. The capital Haydan is almost entirely English and is situated for 85% in Wistelton. Especially the south-eastern part of the capital is part of Courteville and therefor this part has a French orientation. In The Greater Metropolitan Area of Haydan, approximately 12.000.000 people live. This means that about 24% of the population lives in the capital of this state. POLITICS Belsay is a centralized state on almost all political issues, with Queen Dolora of Himmerton as the current head of state. The prime-minister has always been from the English population, because this part of the population is way bigger. The current prime-minister is Silvester Cornwell. CLIMATE Belsay has a climate that is comparable with the climates of London and Paris, although the general temperature in Belsay is warmer, due to its more southern location. Belsay has a sea-climate.
  6. Firstly, I would like to welcome you all back to the life of the Kingdom of Illium. She's been reborn, this time as a part of the Alliance of Independent Nations (AIN)! I rebooted it after a hiatus from the world (Working 60+ hours a week will do that to you), but thankfully I'm back to a normal schedule (around 45 hours a week), and I seem to have more time. I was offered a place in the AIN, and I quickly accepted. I decided to reboot the Kingdom, rather than continue it in it's former, messy state, which had too many conflicting ideas and locations. Here's a world map of the AIN, for those not familiar with it. (Asgard is missing, since it's no longer an official part of the AIN, but I intend to actively roleplay with Fox here at Simtropolis) --AIN MAP-- And now, more about the Kingdom! **Please note that some of the ingame image captions do not match the description above them. 7. Welcome, my fellow Simptropians! This here is my very first CJ As it is my first, I don't expect it to be near as fancy as any of the others, but I am having a blast making it. In today's Update, I'm going to first show you the two current tiles I have. The first, Illium City, is intended to be the Capitol City of the Illium Region (which is a self-made 1:1 scale of Ace Combat 6's "Gracemeria"). The second is Nos Astros County. Note: Most, if not all of this is fictional. Names have been used from several sources, including Stargate SG1, Mass Effect, and Real Life. Anywho, STORYTIME! Note: I'll be addressing the general public as if they were a high-ranking military commander of another Ally nation. :::Welcome to Illium City::: Rainy night tonight, sir. We'll be flying into Illium International. Might want to buckle up. Pilot says there could be some turbulence on approach. If you'll look out your rightside window as we land, you'll see Illium City's industrial district. Most of our dirty manufacturing has moved farther inland. Illium City enjoys clean air thanks to a boost in high-tech industry. Sorry about the bumpy flight in, Commander. Thankfully, we're riding along I185, which was repaved a little over a year ago. It was rated the smoothest ride in the country. Oh! We're crossing Memorial Avenue! On the left is our crown-jewel of shopping, the Illium City Mall. On the right is Steven M. Davidson Memorial Hospital. Possibly our greatest remembered war hero, Staff Sergeant Davidson gave his life for former Queen Sariah and ensured her safety 20 years ago. Almost any Illian can recite the story verbatim. He drove his Tank straight into a wall of infantry and light vehicles and kept them occupied long enough to keep the palace from being overrun by enemy forces. Anywho, moving on, we're now crossing over University Drive. On the right, you'll see the University of Illium. Finest university in the nation! Sir, if you'd like, I can pull some strings and have your daughter begin next semester here. Intelligence says she's a great Cello player, and the U of I Chamber Orchestra is ranked #1 in the world! We need to make a stop by the Capitol District before I drop you off at your new house. That large central building is our Parliament building. Just to the right of it is the Sariah Memorial. Queen Sariah, you'll learn, is probably the 2nd best leader we've ever had, following our current leader, Queen Alexis II. Behind the Sariah memorial is the Ministry of Defense. That's our stop. We're going to run inside and get you full security clearance. This won't take long at all. Alrighty, let's get you to your house. This is it! 4535 Talon Cir. I'll pick you up at 9am. Sleep well, sir! <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Good Morning Sir! I hope you slept well. Today I'm we're going to visit a neighboring county, but it's quite a drive. Let's stop for coffee! Now that the sun's up and that rain's gone, you can see the beauty of the neighborhood we've put you in. This part of the city is called Grapevine. This and Arbor Glen near the financial district are the two wealthiest areas of the city! How about that view?! :::Nos Astros County::: Well, sir, we're entering Nos Astros county. Here is where most of the food for Eastern Illium City is grown. The two small towns, Prosper and Jasper are located within this county. Prosper has exploded in population in the past two years, going from just over 800 to almost 4000 residents after I185 finished all the way through. Jasper has been around for a while, but now that the I630 Bypass is connected with I185, it's looking like a good area for population growth too. Here's a quick map of the city limits. First, sir, we'll stop by Jasper in the southeast portion of the county. The mayor is an old friend of mine. It's a quiet town of about 700. I'm planning on retiring here, if they ever let me go! *chuckle* Our next stop is in the City of Prosper. We're travelling on Regional Highway 42 right now. On the left, sir, you'll see Prosper High School, home of the Prosper Broncos, which serves all of Nos Astros County. Well, for now, at least. And here's the Food Lion, our local Grocery store, and the pharmacy. We are coming up on I185. On the left is the Holiday Inn hotel. Prosper is generally a popular spot to stay when travelling in and out of Illium City. Crossing under 185, on the right, you'll see Nos Astros medical center. This is a recent addition to the town, and it helped spawn the growth of Prosper. It needs a staff of almost 500. While a good portion travel from the city, most of the staff stay here in Prosper or in Jasper. And this intersection, RH 42 and Main Street, is the original town center. Plans to widen and make a roundabout are still on the table at town hall. And our last stop for today is the newest portion of Prosper. This mostly developed after the hospital was built. Five years ago, it was just an empty road. The only thing around were the cattle loading stations on the railroad and a couple of ranch houses, and nothing but fields. There are more plans to expand further north from here along RH 94 (which runs between the cattle loading stations. Until next time!
