    Hello! I'm wanting to create a map of the greater Kanto region in accurate scaled size. I already created a smaller version of this, which includes parts of Chiba, Tokyo, and Kanagawa. However, I forgot the steps of how to do this, how to create this data. Also, I don't know which site to go to to get the black and white and colored pictures of these maps. If someone can create a good, clean tutorial below on how to do this myself, that would be great. I've looked at other threads, but most are either dead links or I can't read the writing the people have posted.
  2. I want to assign plops a custom name. However, using "Item Name" from within the Ilives Reader doesn't do this. Same for description, using "item description" doesn't do this. I suspect the Item Name Key and Item Description key assigns this, but I don't know how to take advantage of this. The Item Name and Description only seems to modify the building when it's plopped.

    I would like to know if it's possible at all to change the size or add a different municipal airport? I'm having trouble with the loteditor and PIM-X, as it only allows "Save", no Save As, and the airports are just too big to fit in my city blocks.

    Oh? I was under the impression that the new lot would override the old medical centers, causing them to shrink a bit. I would like to know how you did it tho, I think it has something to do with the exemplar data, specifically the references, right?

    I guess I could create a new lot. But I really don't want to see TWO medical centers with exact features on the menu. But I guess I can deal with it.

    I need to make sc4lot overwrite for large medical center. I want to reduce its size from 4x3 to 3x3. But the save button is greyed out and PIM-X does not support changing lot sizes. How do I do this?
  9. I've noticed that people use parking garages nowadays not only for Residential uses, but also for Commercial uses (afaik). It seems only fair to make parking garages in SimCity work the same. How exactly does the parking garage work for the residential in concerns of dat stats?

  11. Lot Icon Template (Paint.net)

    I looked around for a suitable icon creation kit, but I couldn't find one that was close enough to my likings for the game. Thus, I instead used the basic version of paint.net without any addons to create a mock-up version of the icon. It turned out so well, I decided to make a template in .pdn (paint.net) format for anyone to use. Simple insert your image (44x44 pixels, 4 of them, 3 colored, 1 greyscale), delete the excess pixels (which would normally overlap transparent pixels) into the four slots. If your image is bigger than 44 pixels long and wide, crop the image to a square size, and then reduce the image down by using either fant or super sampling, down to 44 pixels. After that, insert your image four times, making sure that the left most image is greyscale (You can make it so by going to adjustments > Black and White) And that's it! Simple and effective! Here's a short video showing how to use this.
  12. I'm trying to alter the coverage radius of the fire landing strip. But when I save this file (simcity_4.dat), the game will crash on start (I will have to repair the game files to make the game work again, but doing this also erases the changes I made.)
  13. I mean, do I need to enter anything for the RPatch? Yes, I'm having problems. I entered nothing into RPatch, then saved patch as "Patch.kbi", and did the same for creating dat. however, when going back, no file was created. EDIT: I figured out my problem, I didn't add any items to the patch. ^^;
  14. So, how exactly to create a patch in Ilives reader? It's asking for RPatch information right now, then it asks for a file.
  15. I accidentally overwrote my Simcity_1.dat file. Does anyone have a backup of an unmodified version?
  16. Hello! I would like to assign a lot, specifically I building I downloaded, a filter/category. For example, there are 4 health filter categories: Medical Clinic, Hospital, Medical Center, and Disease Center. I want to assign a lot the Medical Center Category. I know that the Large Medical Center is actually a Hospital in-game, so I downloaded an even larger medical center to serve as the Medical Center for the game. However, I don't see any way to change it's filter. This may also be because it's just eyecandy (Doesn't actually change anything in-game?)

    Where do I download PIM-X? I don't see anything in SC4-PIM to create new buildings.

    hello! I'm looking for a larger type of health service that's categorized as a "Medical Center with Hospital" in the sc4 dat details. Currently, all I have are: Medical Clinic (1) Hospital with Helicopter (1) Disease Center (1) Thanks!
  20. I stumbled here by mistake. What are the qualifications to join? Is this only available on your side? I don't own my sims so I can't create my own sim avatars, even though I have the pictures ready. Or is that not how it works? I read the first post on how to join, but I'm not sure how to create.
  21. I'm missing properties.xml in my SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition folder. What do I do now after downloading this program? I'm also getting a "Failed to load" error with both 093 and 141 when opening dat files.

    Sorry, I'm not talking about Timbuktu specifically. I'm talking about all my regions. I edited the original post with more pictures to show the problem Basically, buildings in established, active cities don't show in region view, tho I clearly remember this working as intended before. I'm using GOGGalaxy version.
