Submenus, icons .. and more ... 1.. Basic Icons Replacements. This package provides a replacement file for the submenu icons provided by Memo's Submenus-DLL. ( 2.0.0 +) Place the [z_scoty_Submenu-DLL_IconsCover] folder in your Plugins\ directory. It can, of course, be placed directly in the directory provided by Submenus-DLL. Or accompany the scoty_submenus_gen\ dir’ described below. All replacement icons are part of the collection provided and described below. 2.. Scoty Submenus To adopt, to adapt, or simply for inspiration... The [scoty_Submenus_Gen] directory offers a set of pre-built submenus (exemplar, icon, ...) which complements and relies on those of the Subemnus-DLL. Place it in your Plugins\ folder. The proposed structure is, of course, arbitrary and may not suit everyone. It’s based on suggestions from RSC204 and other players, as well as my own analysis of years of gameplay and the content of STEX, SC4E. It attempts to cover many areas from the outset but remains a work in progress. As the attached (Scoty_Submenu_tree.pdf) tree diagram shows, I’ve integrated and offered two useful submenu groups as options, if you haven’t already installed the plugins they come from: z_opt_CAM_SbMn\ - CAM-NEON (v4+) submenus. z_opt_Airport_SbMn\ - «Ultimate Airport Pack» (SC4E) submenus. All that’s left is to « populate » them ... For an overview, see the PDF: Scoty_Submenu_tree.pdf 3.. The Scoty Icons Collection In the [Scoty_SubMenus_Collection] dir., you’ll find 186 PNGs files [176x44px] prepared as submenu icons. Identical to that of the replacement set. These icons cover all the available [scoty_submenus_gen\]. A few variations are already available, and I may add more over time, depending on my preferences and your requests. Their names are fairly self-explanatory, but they can also be used for other purposes … enjoy! You can select these files in the «Create new Submenu» section of the «sc4 cli Tool» by smf_16 (see STEX)… easy! Or by integrating them via «Reader». This collection doesn’t need to be in your SC4 Plugins folder. Drop it elsewhere! 4.. Icons Masks For your convenience, I’m providing PNGs of «Masks» to create your own submenu icons, either identical to this collection (tab01) or with one of the variants. Or just to inspire the most creative.. Icons 100% by Natural Intelligence and pixels raised in the open air!- 4 Comments

Would it be possible to accomodate several versions of a RCI building under one icon like the NAM puzzle pieces?

I looked around for a suitable icon creation kit, but I couldn't find one that was close enough to my likings for the game. Thus, I instead used the basic version of paint.net without any addons to create a mock-up version of the icon. It turned out so well, I decided to make a template in .pdn (paint.net) format for anyone to use. Simple insert your image (44x44 pixels, 4 of them, 3 colored, 1 greyscale), delete the excess pixels (which would normally overlap transparent pixels) into the four slots. If your image is bigger than 44 pixels long and wide, crop the image to a square size, and then reduce the image down by using either fant or super sampling, down to 44 pixels. After that, insert your image four times, making sure that the left most image is greyscale (You can make it so by going to adjustments > Black and White) And that's it! Simple and effective! Here's a short video showing how to use this. -
Hello, I'm working on a standardized icon template for SC4 lots. I've been extracted 2 files from PIM-X here https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/19mpvopn6j7UDwGIfFBc-ztD4Tt06CAZB. Can you help me combine those files into a usable template using the magic of Photoshop? I've tried but fail.

DAMN manager, icon not displayed in game menu
hugues aroux posted a topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
Hello, as you can see in the picture, some icons in the DAMN menu (in the game) disappear! Of course, the icons exist (PNG in .sc4lot) and are visible everywhere else: in the DAMN manager, or in the game menus in "normal" mode (without DAMN) ... The Exemplars of these Lots seem quite correct (in my opinion ;-)). I also looked at the Exemplar recreated by DAMN, and don't see what is going wrong! Is this a DAMN bug? Have any of you encountered this problem and know a way to fix it? -
Looking for someone to help me build a UI for my first mod
STApps posted a topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
Hi there, I've been told to post here in a comment to my reddit post, I hope that this is the correct section. I'm not a modder and I don't have enough experience with Unity3d/time to do this by myself, so I'm posting here to see if someone can help me. My mod allows to build parallel roads easily, and judging from the response on the linked reddit post, it's something that a lot of players were waiting for. However, for the reasons stated before, I can't seem to be able to create a good and working UI, meaning that I won't be able to release it in a short timeframe. Here's what I need: A draggable window with tabs support for future updates (just like in Network Skins) Two buttons on top right corner, one is a checkbox used to enable/disable the mod while the other one is a button to add more rows in the panel below A panel containing a variable number of rows (either using a scrollbar or increasing the panel's height), items are added using the second button above Each row is composed by 2x UITextInput, a UIDropDown, 2x UIButton (one should be hidden on the first row only) The second button must have a "x" icon and it's needed to remove rows An icon showing two parallel roads with all the visual states needed for a checkbox An icon with an arrow pointing down (not just the triangle, I need the entire arrow), with the same requirements as the other icon What I have now? Just the template for the rows, and I'm not even sure if it's fully working. I understand that I'm asking a lot, but I can't really work on this UI because, besides the lack of time and knowledge, my dev environment is in a virtual machine and I can't even debug, making the entire experience quite frustrating. If someone is willing to help, here's a link to my GitHub repository. Thank you for your time!- 22 Replies

This small package holds 10 sc4 ready custom icons in png file format for the following landmark buildings done by Diego Del Llano. AON Center 345 California Center CenturyLink Tower Denver (1801 California Street) Columbia Center Commerzbank Tower Denver Place Dirksen Building John Hancock Center Regions Center Tower Torre Ejecutiva Pemex Simplest way to embedd these icons in your lot files is to use the icon import function in LEPop. I made them for my personal needs and share them - just in case - to save you some work. These don't go in your Plugin-Folder, they are a resource for modders only. Please use the forums to get help/instruction/tutorials.
