The day version are really getting better and better ! I like the variety of colours and sizes there too (like with the villas). But if you could make the nights lights perhaps a bit more textured too ? A bit more yellow ?

I would like realize similar new night map.

Currently building tree-houses

Probably not the most sensible housing choice especially with the trees going thru the middle of them, but they seem quite popular with my villagers.

We can do treehouses in Banished, now ? OMG I must go back and visit !

Yes, kid over at the World of Banished website build a pack of three treehouses and everyone went "we love those", so that lead to creating the Forest Haven mod which was great but the houses were very wooden coloured, so that in turn lead to the Summer Haven mod with more colorful houses.

Both mods can be installed together, he's also done a mod called Tree Topper which are trees with doors ..... hunter, gatherers, etc

@mattb325 Precisely the problem is to remove the ground without damaging the other parts of the model. :(

The model does not look bad but it is impossible to illuminate the windows, sorry.

This is amazing. Honestly i don't think that anyone really cares about the windows illumination. Incredible !!

I would just make a large rectangle that covers the ground part of the palace model and then use the boolean/pro-boolean operands to delete that part of the mesh. 3dsMax will automatically reconnect the vertices at the base of the building. It will make for some messy geometry right on the z0 axis, but it will take less than a minute to do and it shouldn't be too obvious in game.

If the boolean subtraction makes really jagged edges or awful reconnections (I'm assuming that photogrammetry has millions and millions of polygons), then just make a new ground piece to hide the jagged edges.....

Next in queue is the ubiquitous 1980's style large apartment block (it will be a 5x5 minimum lot)

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

This reminds me so much of Barn conversions in thr UK. If you search "uk barn conversion" in google you'll see some really amazing R$$$ type properties with this shape.

Your recent work is showing a lot of improvement, happy for you!

These are looking great and the improved textures are going a long, long way. If you're looking for more inspiration, I'll throw some your way in a form of a few suburban neighborhoods — most of these you can pan around and look at the area in general:

(1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) (7) (8)

I'd be happy to point you to additional stuff too, like low/medium-density apartments, if you ever want to do that.
