I've been working on a village with a suburban layout. There is a big highway running through, thus there is some challenge connecting everything to each other. Besides there isn't a lot of labor in neighboring cities. Making sure the employmentrate is good could be a challenge as well. At the bottom of the picture below you could see a neighborhood that is already finished. After that a large interchange and above that an empty space with trees. This empty space should be developed in the future as well. However, doing that properly without creating poor deprived areas could be difficult.
