KOSC Presents: Diego Del Llano Growables - 2017 Pack One


This is set of growable, high-density lots made from Diego Del Llano's BATs that were released in 2017. The objective of this set is to provide growable alternatives to the ploppable landmarks in the original release for a more traditional gaming experience. While ploppable are amazing in their own right, it doesn't quite allow for one to experience the feeling of zoning a plot and having that shiny new tower pop up.

Package Overview

4/14 IMPORTANT NOTE - this file currently only works with the DarkNite versions, and NOT MaxisNite - an update will be rolled out soon to accomodate the MaxisNite buildings

Included in the following package are a set of growables for all Diego Del Llano's 2017 releases (excluding the Loop Postal Station building in the Federal Center Chicago set). A couple of the buildings have different occupant versions to satisfy different demand groups.

There are TWO versions of the package you can download: Vanilla and CAMThe vanilla version has all of the larger buildings capped at stage 8, with capacities that do not exceed 7500. For those that use the Colossus Addon Mod, the larger buildings extend all the way up to stage 15 and boast much higher capacities, up to around 11000.

If you desire to plop the growables, use the buildingPlop cheat and look for exemplars starting at DiegoDL_ (requires ExtraCheats.dll).

General Stats

All stats were generated with PIM-X. Vanilla versions differ only in growth stage and maximum capacity tweaks (for buildings that exceeded 7000 by default). The breakdown is as follows:

Detailed stats for all of the buildings can be found in the enclosed README.

Install Instructions

Pick either the vanilla or the CAM version and drop the files in your My Documents/SimCity 4/Plugins folder. To uninstall, simply delete the files from your hard drive.


Main Building(s)

This list contains all of the buildings used in this set. Each subfolder corresponds to a particular building/set of buildings - if you don't have a particular building feel free to delete the corresponding subfolder.

Mods (CAM version only)

You will only need these if you're using the CAM version. Either version of CAM will work with the CAMeLots.

So I'm not the only one that did this.  I will have to look through the list as there are a couple of buildings for which I didn't want to even try to estimate a level of fill.  Plus it will be useful to bounce the stats you've come up with against what I came up with for those buildings I did convert, to see if I'm in the same ballpark.

@nos.17...and when will you release your version of these beautiful bats? 

I was planning to make growable versions as well, but I just started to learn making growable lots, and started JENX's and Porkissimo's paris/french sets to fill my city...

Man! I also made growable versions for several of Diego's buildings... at least I won't have to worry about the ones I hadn't touched. *:rofl:

@Tyberius06 ... I must admit that many of the lots are solely the building, but I did create some unique lots for the buildings. I can dig those up for you if you want. STEX uploads for them are not on the radar for now as I really am not sure exactly what dependencies I used on each lot - whatever happened to be in my plugins folder on the moment. I'll look into it though...

Hey all,

A user messaged me today mentioning that they get brown boxes for these buildings while possessing all of the dependencies. I think I know what is wrong at the moment  but hopefully those of you that created your own growables can help me confirm it as well.

@twalsh102, @Edvarz, @nos.17: Does your growable lots turn up as brown boxes if you swap the DN and MN models or vice versa?

I only ever download DN versions when I have an option, so couldn't help immediately.  Had some time so I downloaded the MN versions of a half dozen of the buildings included in your package..

I didn't actually try to plop in game, but merely scanned with DataNode, which showed missing models when only the MN models were present.  I'm guessing that your suspicions are that the DN and MN models have different TGIs.  I can confirm this is the case on all the MN models I downloaded.

There's the problem (obvious of course). If a user makes MN/DN or SD/HD buildings and uniquely exports them, it's easy for them to have different IDs. What you could do is just include two switchable Buildings Exemplars or Prop Exemplars which are linked to the different versions.

Ideally though, modellers can do a day export, make a duplicate of the file thereafter. Then export the MN/DN renders to the copies of the day model, this will ensure the ID are the same, so they are more easily interchangeable.

It's a bit harder with SD/HD render choices, since those need unique LODs and can't use the same model. But it's pretty quick to alter the ID manually, which can be done using Reader.

      Take your park pathways to the next level! SuperPaths is a brand new set of texture aimed at tackling the ever so saturated territory of pathways with... err... many twists and turns!
      This set contains a total of 373 overlay textures geared towards dynamic and flowing park paths..
      In additional to covering standard fare orthogonal pathways, this set deeply explores inter-connectivity with other less utilized pathing options. Diagonals and FA2 pathways are given a chance to shine with an insane amount of options. Couple that with wide radius curves and s-curves and the layout options provided are practically limitless!
      The release contains 6 different base texture options for you to choose between.
      Install Instructions
      NOTE: As this is a dependency package, there are no lots included.
      Drop the files in your My Documents/SimCity 4/Plugins folder. These should show up under the overlay texture section in the lot editor and PIM-X. 

      Lotters, copy the contents of PIMXGroups.txt into your groups.ini file located in the PIM-X install directory. This will allow easier access to these textures in the lot editor.
      Thanks to rivit and rsc204 for their work on GoFSH, as well as cp for some of the base textures that I used as a template here. This set would not have been possible without their work.

      This is a Relot of my 2nd upload from April 2016 and still the second one in a series of Rewards based on BAT models made by other artists. This version is made for users using the CAM 2.1 MOD by InvisiChem.
      There is also an updated version of this lot available, if you’re using the Vanilla version of this game.

      This upload (updated version 3.0.0 for CAM 2.1), a recreation of the Old Delaware County Courthouse made by Mattb325, is an old, medium sized Courthouse, that was made by its creator
      from historic photos and drawings of the Delaware County Courthouse that once stood in Muncie, Indiana.

      This wonderful BAT comes on a new lot and features a custom icon and custom query window. I used the original seasonal trees here and the nightlight is also like the original BAT.
      You will find this lot in the Rewards menu right next to the In-Game Courthouse.

      Why is it a Reward and only available onces?
      This Reward is made for players, who want to work and reach a goal in the game and finally get WHAT? A REWARD of course…
      You don’t like it? Well, than this download in NOT for you!

      This BAT is for you, if you like “realistic” looking and detailed buildings in your city. There are so many awesome creations like textures and other props made by the community out there, and I think, we should use them.
      You don’t like dependencies? Well, again, then unfortunately this download is NOT for you!

      I am sure the building was rendered for Maxis Nite, but it should work both with the original Maxis Nite and the Dark Nite Mods.

      In order to get this (Reward), the following requirements need to be met (hard difficulties):

      2 - USE

      You need to extract this archive to your root plugins folder, it should then create a folder MSRB\REWARDS\[NAME OF BAT], where [NAME OF BAT] represents the name of this download item. Within that folder, you will find all the game-relevant files and a sub-folder containing the HTML readme and some screenshot(s). I strongly suggest that you keep your plugins organized, this original download in a safe place and remove all pics and this description from your plugins. These are not needed for this BAT to work.

      If you no longer wish to use this download, proceed as follows:

      1.      Bulldoze all lots pertaining to this download

      2.      Save all the cities and exit the game when you're done bulldozing

      3.      Remove the associated files from your plugins folder

      Hint: Just to be sure, I recommend moving the undesired files somewhere else and doing some checks before you delete them permanently. This way, if it turns out you forgot to bulldoze something, you can add it back in temporarily until you're done.

      4 - FINAL WORDS

      Updated Version 3:
      This is a total new conversion intend to use with the Colossus Addon MOD 2.1 by InvisiChem. I adjusted the statistic values to work with this MOD. You’ll need the Rush Hour Expansion set fully patched to 1.1.640.0 or a Digital version patched to 1.1.641.0 to use this release. Enjoy!

      This lot was tested intensively without any problems, but if you have issues/problems with it, please feel free to PM me here! Please read this Readme carefully and make sure you have all dependencies installed properly.
