Any mod to prevent neighbourhoods being rebuilt

Sad... looks like I got some work ahead of me. -
Any mod to prevent neighbourhoods being rebuilt
Madaboutsimz posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Is there any mod (here or on other sites), which automatically marks new buildings as historic? I have a specific neighbourhood that I want to preserve, but manually marking each building doesn't seem like a feasible idea. -
Does sound affect whether or not the game runs?
Madaboutsimz posted a topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
So recently my laptop's sound died, I have no idea why, it just says "No Audio Output Device is installed". Anyway, when I go to boot up SimCity 4 Deluxe, it works up until the point where the EA logo zooms out. It freezes in place, and then crashes. I know it's not a faulty plugin because I ran the game with the Plugins folder taken out, and the same problem occurs. This never happened to me before so I'm curious: will this mean I won't be able to play SC4 on my laptop until sound gets fixed? Or is there a solution that I don't know about? -
It does seem like a large map, but for me, that's pretty much the only selling point here. I like that you tried to make a replica of a real-life region, but is that really what County Durham and North Yorkshire looks like? No geographical features and flat-edged shores? Take a look at other popular maps and see the level of work that they put in, that's my suggestion.

Found this in the SimCity 4 Deluxe Manual: Who'd a thought it? Obviously not the SimCity 2013 team. Oh Maxis, how far you have gone.

Paying for power, not receiving it
Madaboutsimz replied to Madaboutsimz's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
Thanks for the suggestions. I checked back to city A for the first time (in a long time) and the combined electricity usage of A and B apparently exceeded what city A could deal with. Fixed that, and hopefully this problem won't be returning.. -
It's a pretty strange problem, so hear me out, So I've got 2 large cities, let's say city A and B. Since city A is more developed than B, I decided to sell power from A to B. Everything worked out, power lines connected, city B pays for the power that city A provides bla bla bla. However, every once in a while, when I enter city B and run it for a few ingame months, the city suddenly blacks out; no power anywhere. I check the the neighbor deals but everything looks right, same thing with utilities; everything's receiving adequate funding. What I usually have to do is exit the city and re-enter it, and after that, everything's back to normal. Anyone heard of this problem before?

SimCity (2013): Amusement Park DLC, Release Date: May 28, 2013
Madaboutsimz commented on Hellken's article in News
What's this supposed to be, a ripoff of RCT? This is starting to get out of hand, the game's SimCITY, and any development should focus on that. I suppose a few amusement park addons may be interesting, but it's completely inappropriate to create a DLC just for the purpose of this. -
At this point I don't know what to think of the new SimCity. The community has already made their views and complaints vocal but it's like EA has turned deaf ears on any recurring complaints. How do they expect to be viewed upon favorably if they're unwilling to listen and change the unpopular? What a joke.
