Very good terraforming, especially with the cliffs (and the castle on the small island is also a good idea). Which aspect of the terraforming has been painful, or is it the result you don't ike?

As for some appropriate buildings: That depends on which style you want to build. However, if you like historic style, I'm going to tag you a few creators who have created historic buildings that I'm using frequently and whose files you may be interested. If you want to download even more, don't hesitate to ask, I like old style, but some of the plugins in my folder are difficult to track down and it's very late in the evening now for me.

@Wallibuk created a nice sortiment of buildings from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and eastern Austria.

@Ferox created some nice 19th century tenements, found in Poland and occasionally Germany.

@Haarlemmergold created some nice old buildings, some of them from the Netherlands, some from Germany. There are also some timberframe buildings I like much.

You may also want to make a Power Search for SFBT content; the Hamburg set may fit in with your plans.

You may also want to visit my profile and check out the files I've uploaded. I've relotted and remodded a collection of Italian-style buildings, as well as a few of JENX timberframe buildings (make sure to download the dependencies).

This is some really good stuff -- !!

I like your placement of the old walled city on the tip of a peninsula along with the village on the sea-mount.  Leaves you plenty of room to develop the modern infrastructure to the south of the town.  Some VERY CREATIVE lotting and repurposing here, my friend......

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

Respectively to creativity, I don't really deserve any credit as this one is very strongly inspired by a town in my native region.

I think this one is FANTASTIC -- !!

The dark one might look more "realistic" -- I assume that would be soot-stained and weathered.

But this one presents the architecture in its pristine glory.

The building in pic 1 is a subway station made by wolfze and a louis vuitton building made by Jenx (not sure if either of them are on the STEX). The building in pic 3 is this Starbucks:

Took a little bit of time off of building the airport to finally get around configuring Wine and making X-Pim and iLive Reader work on macOS. I, of course, cannot use X-Pim and I barely get by with the Reader… but I finally made these lovely Bayfront lots work on the water.

Check out this lovely, actually-full-of-water canal!

Please ignore the underwater grass. Or, uh, think of it as moss or something. I'll eventually figure out how to use X-Pim to remove that texture and/or I'll fiddle with the slope. As a matter of fact, any suggestions?

You can manually remove content like textures and props in Reader like this:

  1. Open your lots in LE.
  2. Search for the texture in question and write down their ID (the code that shows up in the base texture choosing window and when you hover above the texture with the mouse cursor).
  3. Close LE.
  4. Open your lots in Reader.
  5. Search for the Lot exemplar file. Their GID (the middle out of the three code grouds) is always 0xa8fbd372.
  6. Look at the right panel. Check out the LotConfigPropertyLotObjectData properties. Those have a code with at least 13 parts, so-called reps, and every property represents one object, be it a prop, a texture, a flora item, or the building exemplar file. The ones starting with 0x00000002 are textures. Double-click on them and check the last rep. If it is the same as the code you wrote down in step 2, this is the texture you want to delete.
  7. Right-click on the property, select "Delete Property" and choose "Yes." This will remove said object from your lot.
  8. Last, but most important: Right-click somewhere in the right panel and choose "Reindex". I don't exactly know why, but if you forget this, you will get a CTD as soon as you try to plop this lot. You always need to do this when adding or removing LotConfigPropertyLotObjectData properties in a lot exemplar file.

I hope this helps you. If not, please feel free to ask.

I haven't gotten around to making LE run on my Wine wrapper. I do have X-Pim. It's the same instructions?

If you can run PIM-X's LE, then this is even simpler, you can remove the Textures in the LE and it will allow you to save them without issue.

Can I ask, have you managed to configure a wrapper using Apple Silicon?, on my previous Intel Mac I just used a Virtual Machine to run Windows so I had access to my modding tools, but that option is no more since I updated recently.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

Yes, I have. It's a bit trickier to get Wineskin Wrapper (or Wine, at all) installed these days, since you need to do it via Homebrew/the Terminal, but it can be done. I got it from here, followed the instructions, then downloaded a couple of engines and started fooling around until I got the programs running. Apple is soon releasing the Game Porting Toolkit, so that's a huge resource that's available now.

I would share the wrapper here, but the whole wrapper is a massive 1.7 GB (yes, gigabytes) and I'm using the same wrapper for both X-Pim's LE and the Reader. If I get around to it, maybe I can focus on making the wrapper leaner, but I sincerely doubt it's gonna be anywhere close to the size of the programs themselves. Alternatively, you can try downloading Wine using Homebrew. You will need gdi and some fonts to run either program, but as long as you can get Winetricks to run on Wine (using the terminal), you'll be set.
