So, a little further along. Started on some roof junk and mirrored the left part instead of cloning it. Added a silo building, but I'm undecided whether I like it or not. I may remove it and add some machinery. I'm also thinking of moving the buildings further away from the silos and adding some prop-ish stuff around them. The rail and boxcar are there to gauge distances from the docks and for measuring the loading annex. This will be fairly large at 3x12 tiles.

This is going to look really nice in a large seaport......*:thumb:

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

I always enjoy scenes from your regions---I think you capture the Athenian approach to urbanization so perfectly. The pastoral hillsides scattered with Hellenic ruins and historical sites... and then the sea of concrete, crossed by serpentine boulevards. I appreciate seeing it all close-up.

The FA runways are very cool. Did you make them yourself? Are they available somewhere?

What a wonderful description for my building style. Thank you very much for the nice comment. 😊

Imperial Dockyards

Been following this series of City Journals since its inception. Each chapter is extremely well done. The text, images, and the lot work that makes up the images are amazing.

Should also add that The Third Man is one of my all time favorite films. Not a wasted scene in the whole movie with every scene pushing the plot forward. Zither music forever.

Yo, Nite Owl --

THANK YOU -- THANK YOU -- for the kind words !!  It gives me great pleasure to know that you have been enjoying the "CJ" chapters.  We are just beginning the prelude to the Battle of Jutland which, I hope, will be even more interesting.  It is most gratifying to know the effort is appreciated.  BUT -- I must give a "Lion's share" of any credit to @AP and @Barroco Hispano -- without their wonderful models -- none of this would have been possible.  I confess -- I await each new model from them much like a child waits for Christmas morning !

THE THIRD MAN is an undoubted "movie classic" -- in so many ways.  AND -- throughout their careers, actors strive for that "magic moment" when they "make their entrance" onto a stage, or in a movie.  Orson Wells has one of the absolute greatest entrances in all of movie history when that cat introduces him to the audience.  It is "THE ENTRANCE" of a lifetime.  I had the pleasure of spending some time in Vienna years ago, and the Zither is, indeed, a beautiful instrument.  And in Vienna -- they know how to "party" with style.

Again, THANK YOU, for the compliment -- *:thumb:

I've heard some people enjoy my terracing skills, so here's a commercial area built on the hillside.

The lowland area, including the monorail station but not the train one, is new

Funicular #1. There's also the option of stairs, for those that want to climb the ≈50 meters on their own.

Funicular #2, connected to the monorail terminal. The new rail station stands close by.

Playing on a Mac means I can't change the perspective with the new DLL, but I can still get some nice shots down pedmalls and stairs

Nice work! Honestly looks/vibes like the cities in a Pokémon game to me :P

What is good when you have nothing to say is that you can always pretend to listen. Anyway it does not prevent to think!
