Wow Matt, you really outdid yourself with this now! Not only with the impressive and really novel modding, but the models are also wonderful!

Maybe the only things I could suggest are alleys with translucent coverings (I'm thinking on those late 19th century Milanese galleries), and 6 tile length lots, which are a very common block size (and the one I use the most, TBH)

Another big lunch cooked by mattb who is a very thoughtful chefs. Frankly I'm just aware of I never noticed there were so many details from his buildings. Such as the ladders or the posters etc. I guess that's might because I just busy with downloading his surprising number of great works.

A little suggestion from personal opinion. I would like to see the example of cases like the screenshot above in your download files. Thank you Mattb.

Continuing on with the series of narrow pedestrian enabled alleyways from earlier, I've made some progress in terms of extra lots and a bit of extra modding to make them quite adaptable and functional.

@mattb325

BRAVO !!  BRAVO !!

I have been in many European cities that have large pedestrian only shopping areas and I love the ambiance.  Until now, I have only been able to use clumsy and complicated PedMall piece arrangements to try and duplicate the effect.

Now I see many opportunities opening up for "green" areas mixed with shops and narrow alleys in a beautiful and cozy setting!

THIS, my friend, is going to revolutionize the look of older or "renovated" downtown areas.

I bow in homage to "The Master".  *:thumb:  *:thumb:   *:thumb:

P.S.  I applaud your extensive testing.  Proof of the hypothesis is all important.

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

Have to agree with everyone else...you really outdid yourself here.  These look fantastic and are the perfect kind of thing for a transit focused city like mine.

I would also second what matias93 said.  I exclusively use 6x6 and 6x13 blocks and would find a size like that (just the 6, not 13 lol) very useful.  Though I won't hold you to it, these are perfect too!

Continuing on with the series of narrow pedestrian enabled alleyways from earlier, I've made some progress in terms of extra lots and a bit of extra modding to make them quite adaptable and functional.

It started with the 4x8 narrow alleyway:

I have now added a 2x4 functional pedestrian narrow alleyway:

TER4UDo.jpg

and a 4x4 functional narrow alleyway:

In addition to that, I have made some connector pieces with planters and sculptures. A 1x2, 1x3 and 1x4:

pMDfCil.jpg

Now the nifty thing about these is that if you join them up with a ped mall piece (i've deliberately used a non matching piece to highlight) they actually function together:

IeiHELx.jpg

And sims can even turn corners to find work:

feFzVcE.jpg

They'll even use them to catch the train:

4NZVyO7.jpg

You can mix and match them all together (the narrow laneways, ped malls, and the sculpture pieces to create really lively, AND FUNCTIONAL, mostly car-free employment zones.

ncfmJm8.jpg

Commercial zoning and ploppables also work adjacent to these and sims don't show preference to other types of transport when the connection is made (such as to a road and other employment areas):

BTcfb51.jpg

Should be available very soon after I've done a bit more testing.

@mattb325 Amazing!!! Thanks for all your hard work, happy new year!
