One thing that is missing in SC4 is bustling, functional and narrower than 16m, pedestrian laneways.

This is one thing that's been bothering me for years now. Japan has a lot of narrow streets everywhere but they're very hard to duplicate in SC4 without having to resort to lotting plop bits of cities like that....

This shopping plaza just feels so adorable to me for some reason and I can't quite figure out why.

For me, it's because of the 90° layout, the diagonal in the middle and the fact that the boxes are of different, decreasing sizes. Cuteorable indeed.

Come and visit. We got home made cookies. http://community.simtropolis.com/journals/journal/5386-pr-crastinas-travels-sc4/

By the way, we also have cookies at Tariely's Little Shop of Relots (and Lots)

Still a bit of tweaking to do with building placement adding  a bit of extra functionality and of course making some additionally sized lots, but the concept works....

Yes mate!!!! This has been something vitally missing and something I've often thought about having a look at. Love what you have done here!

Looks perfect alongside Nofunks BAT

Agreed- Nofunk could have made that. Keep it coming with these "Ginza" or 1x1 and 1x2 and 2x2 W2W buildings Mattb325! Maybe I can find a place for them in The Big Mango when I return to SC4.

Thanks, the trick is to make it blend in with Maxis.  Nofunk & Jasoncw's buildings do it very well. There many other batters (way, way too many to name!) that do of course blend in with the game environment in terms of scale/colour/function, but sadly some batters don't do that for their own reasons, which can often limit the usefulness of otherwise lovely models.
