That lot looks interesting. Would perfectly look good anywhere in my cities. :)

@feyss I'll investigate those lights. I've been thinking about changing my terrain mod to something brighter, greener, I'll give that one a try.

You really have striped Olsenes back! Looking forward to seeing the finished thing and comparing it to the old! Keep up the great work!

Thanks! It just ended up that way when I couldn't find a  better way to bring it down after the bridge. I just kind of worked with it and it turned out okay. :)

I see what you mean, and to some extent, I agree. But I like it there. It fits in with the natural surroundings and it (if only just a little) helps to break the grid. We'll just pretend it's some historic landmark. :)

Brilliant! I see some diagonal entrances, driveways and parking corners.

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Wonderful. I wonder how those would look like in Asian themed cities though.

@Compdude787: Yeah most definitely! I'm going to try to keep the base sets as devoid of trees as possible, so players can choose to plant whatever they want on the grassy areas.

(snip)

Oh please make sure these are texture overrides so I can enjoy the awesomness on all lots ^^

I don't think it's going to work like this. The dimensions and proportions are too different; existing props etc. would end up scattered all over the parking spaces and driveways. Look at the grid and then compare the size and spacing of all components (individual parking spaces, rows of parking spaces, width of driveways, etc.) to Maxis textures. You'll see that both don't have very much in common, so my guess is that you shouldn't get your hopes up too much.

Working on making a ship canal ---

The only thing I've decided so far -- is to widen the canal a tiny bit, deepen it likewise, and stick to in-game water rather than a plop water variety.

I've also got to run a highway and a rail line across it.

Any suggestions ??

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

As one that has recently spent hours and hours editing over 500 different lots, I see a lot of what you've done here! Marvelous! Love it! I like the SHK cars myself...truly great pieces of custom content for use in lot editing. Course this looks like some new content as well so right on!

Go big. Trying to clear big ships is no small matter. I have 45m clearance here, and I'm still not sure all the ploppable container ships actually fit under it

I've recently been building up Newstead, which is in the north-west of the Mearcgræf metropolitan area. This is the Nondescripts Sports Club grounds, with Nondescripts in action against Rushmede on the No.1 pitch. Nondescripts were a founding member of the Arthurian Football League in 1864 and won the King's Cup knockout tournament four times, although this match takes place way down in the ninth tier of the AFG league system.

Deliciously done man! Love the unique setup of the sloped roadway to bridge...

That's a nice looking sports park Joe!

@GMT: T Wrecks is absolutely right. Additionally, there's something off about the scale with default textures. Even overrides wouldn't be able to curb the inherit issues with single tile parking block pieces; the placement is just too uncomfortably narrow.
