  1. I use a program called Remove Empty Directories. It's useful for getting rid of the empty folders that get left behind when I unsubscribe from something, but it's also useful for alerting you if something's been deleted, as the empty folder would remain behind. As you most likely know, the folder names are their Workshop asset number, and most of the time you can Google this number to find out what the asset or mod was. Hope that makes sense. Also, for the record, I got the large update today as well, but nothing has been deleted as far as I can tell. (If you want to try that program, set it to scan this folder: D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\255710. Change the drive to whatever drive your game is on.)
  2. Tribute to A Nonny Moose

I never had the opportunity to get to know him, but it's always very sad losing a member of the community. It sounds like he made a deep impression on a lot of people and will be very missed.
  3. Sorry to hear you had troubles with your game. I had the same thing recently - and couldn't find a solution for two days. Majorly frustrating. Sounds like you really need a break. EDIT: Just wondered if you are planning to release the police station before your break?
  4. @boldybuilding I just tried the Titanic demo and I am absolutely gobsmacked. That is probably the most beautiful video game environment I've ever seen. You should be so proud! I can't wait to see more. And I will definitely be contributing when I can.
  5. These are so cool! I've just started a new US map and can't wait for my city to grow big enough to use these.
  6. Project "Random Airport"

Try disconnecting from the Internet after opening Steam, but before loading the game. Once you've got your city loaded, you can reconnect. I've had to do this since the last Steam update. Your city looks really good! I hope you manage to continue it.
  7. @Lost_gecko and @Avanya: Thank you both! I'm quite excited to try meshing for this game.
  8. You guys are seriously amazing! I swear I was just thinking about this yesterday, wondering if anyone would ever make such a mod.
  9. Yeah, I still have to disconnect from the internet before starting the game. I've never played a game quite as finicky as this one. That garage looks awesome, @Bipin! Can't wait to get my hands on it.
  10. Thanks. I'm familiar with Milkshape and Wings 3D, but only recently started playing around in Blender. I've meshed in the past (for Sims 3 and 4) but I'd really like to give it a go for CSL. Do you (or anyone else reading this) know of any tutorials that would get me started?
  11. Show Us Your... Nature

I wish @dedgren was around. He'd love this thread! Fantastic pics, @Mr_Maison.
  12. YES! We definitely need more schools.
  13. Yes, that's what really annoys me. That minority (?) who want everything for free and never even bother saying thanks to the creator, who has put hours and hours of work into something that they are sharing for free. I guess I just want to see creators properly rewarded for their efforts, even though I know that most, if not all, of them don't expect to be paid. I do like the idea of those who donate maybe getting a say in what's made (Gula did something like this) or getting early access to a mod/asset. That way no one ultimately misses out on anything.
  14. Very cool, thanks! Quick question: what programme do you use to create your meshes?
  15. Very odd. Your graphics card driver doesn't need to be updated, does it? (The slow loading thing is normal, though, at least for me.)
  16. I think it could work like this: all the really good creators get a chance to make one pack of DLC (maybe this could be a monthly release schedule), which they then make money off everytime it sells. They could then go back to creating for free/donations (how it is now). That way those who can't (or don't want to) pay don't miss out completely, and the creators still get a bit of income. I'm not sure if this is how Paradox intend it to be, but personally, I think this would make sense. (And yes, I am a bit of an idealist! )
  17. You are a machine, Avanya! I was going to suggest a sign but looking at the inspiration photo, I think you've pretty much nailed it.
  18. That sounds like a really good idea, Boformer. I think Gula used to do a similar thing (before he got a new job). I also don't mind the idea of paying a small amount for a mod, if it's definitely going to be maintained.
  19. They look great, Sobern! I've been hoping for some compact low-res housing like this.
  20. You make some good points, @Judazzz. I guess we'll have to see how it all plays out. In the meantime, I'm eagerly looking forward to the new Art Deco buildings.
  21. I would love to try my hand at making textures for this game and this just might be the mod that gets me started.
